Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones
Chapter 52 Doubts
Chapter 52 Doubts
After entering November, the weather in Britain suddenly became very cold.
The mountains surrounding the school were covered in a gray haze of ice and snow, and the lake surface was as cold and hard as quenched steel.
Every morning there is frost on the ground.
From the upstairs window Hagrid could be seen, wrapped up in a long moleskin coat, rabbit-fur gloves, and huge beaver boots, defrosting his broomstick on the Quidditch pitch.
November is also the Quidditch season.
Almost all the young wizards were excitedly discussing the upcoming Hogwarts Quidditch match.
Even Hermione would occasionally chime in on Ron and Harry's discussions.
But Tiera simply couldn't muster any interest.
Having been raised by his relatively wealthy parents in his previous life, Tiera was strong and healthy from a young age. He was a big and burly man who never knew that winter could be so unbearable.
The damp, cold wind at Hogwarts in November felt like tiny insects that could penetrate the skin and reach the bones.
Apart from the Gryffindor common room with its fireplace and the bedroom with its fireplace, Tyella wished she could wrap herself up like a ball.
It seemed that even his own thoughts had become sluggish due to the cold wind.
Therefore, since November, Tiera has rarely gone to the library except to return or borrow books.
Although the library and all the classrooms had been enchanted with a warming spell, the Hogwarts professors seemed to have forgotten about the corridors. If Tyella wanted to get to the library, she still had to spend ten minutes walking through the cold corridors.
"Sigh." Tiera, who was reading a book on the sofa in the common room, suddenly sighed. "If only there were hot pot."
“Hot...pot?” Hermione, sitting next to him, asked in confusion, repeating the Chinese pronunciation of “hot pot” in a halting voice.
“An ancient delicacy from the East,” Tierra explained to Hermione, gently closing the book and rubbing her slightly sore eyes.
At this age in his previous life, Tiera was facing the transition from primary to junior high school. His parents hoped he could attend Peking University High School or Tsinghua University High School, so he was preparing for the entrance exam for Peking University High School at that time.
Whenever he got tired of studying, his mother would gently put a few drops of eye drops in his eyes or simmer a pot of soup to nourish him.
Of course, in the end he still failed the entrance exam and only went to a junior high school that was not bad, but not top-tier either.
His parents gave him a good mixed doubles beating.
His parents spent a lot of money enrolling him in tutoring classes so that he could get into Peking University High School.
Now that I'm far from home, I even miss my parents' mixed doubles games.
Indeed, there is no one better than a mother in the world. A child with a mother is like a treasure, while a child without a mother is like a blade of grass.
After Tyrell started studying in the common room, Hermione, the little witch, stopped going to the library and instead sat next to Tyrell to study.
Since the troll incident, the little witch has become much cuter, she has gotten rid of her arrogant ways, and has begun to humbly ask Tiera for advice.
Hermione was eager to learn, so she loved to ask questions, and Tyrell loved to teach her. Who wouldn't like an obedient, sensible, and intelligent child?
Moreover, while answering Hermione's questions, Tierra is also constantly deepening her understanding of knowledge.
Although she still enjoys lecturing, this unpretentious style makes Tyella, Ron, and Harry feel comfortable.
Harry and Ron took Hermione's advice to heart and started studying with Tyrell. But... soon, the Quidditch season arrived, and Harry and Ron couldn't sit still anymore.
Tierra was also kept busy, as he not only had to brew a large quantity of calming potions for the Gryffindor Quidditch team, but also a simple cold-resistant potion.
Hermione also helped Tyella a bit, otherwise Tyella's study time would have been further reduced.
Since the troll incident, Hermione seems to care less about school rules, like someone who has taken the first step and can't stop.
Hermione would often lead Harry and Ron to break some trivial school rules.
For example, Hermione would often sneak off with Tyella, Ron, and Harry to the lawn outside the Hogwarts gates with a cluster of magical flames and unleash her newly learned magic against the night sky.
Tiera only went once and then stopped, because it was just too cold. Even with magical flames to warm her up, Tiera couldn't stand the cold.
After returning from that night out before the Quidditch match, Harry no longer had the book "Quidditch Origins" that he always carried with him.
Hermione and Ron, the little witches, also looked dejected.
"What happened to you?" Tierra asked, sitting by the fireplace in the common room. "Did you run into Snape?"
"How did you know?" Ron asked in surprise.
“We’re playing Quidditch tomorrow. What could possibly make you all look so miserable except for running into Snape?” Tierra said.
Then the three young wizards told Tyella about their encounter with Snape.
“Quirklo? Snape? His leg is injured?” Tierra pretended to be deep in thought.
“Snape! He must be trying to steal Dumbledore’s collection!” Harry exclaimed.
“Impossible,” Hermione retorted, her eyes wide. “Snape may be a bit wicked, but he would never steal anything from Dumbledore.”
"Then how do you explain the scars on his legs? They must have been from a Cerberus bite."
The three young wizards almost started arguing.
“I agree with Hermione’s point of view.” Tyella finally made the final decision. After spending these past few months together, Tyella had gradually established a certain authority in the hearts of the three young wizards.
“To be honest, Tyella, you always think all teachers are saints,” Ron retorted bluntly. “I agree with Harry. I think a teacher as harsh as Snape is capable of anything. But what was he looking for? What was that big dog guarding?”
Tierra heard Harry tossing and turning in bed that night, and even after Tierra herself fell asleep, there were still some noises coming from Harry's bed.
He must be thinking about the relationship between Professor Snape and Dumbledore's collection.
Tyrell didn't bother correcting Harry's misconception, because given Voldemort's determination to kill Harry, Harry's broom would definitely go out of control during tomorrow's Quidditch match.
At this moment, Snape, who has been reciting the anti-spell, will definitely be misunderstood by Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
These three little wizards are all stubborn; once they misunderstand something, they absolutely cannot get it right.
Nothing Tiera said made a difference, so she simply gave up.
Moreover, Tierra discovered that if everything had unfolded according to the original plot, he could have gained quite a few benefits from this misunderstanding.
