------------
The cooperation between the two sides was quite pleasant. The Lord of Radiance received guarantees of safety and preliminary permission to return to human society, while the Human Empire obtained an ancient artifact and countless lost technologies within it. After the Battle of the Wheel of Flame, Balder prepared to deal with the star-fortress-sized component gifted by the Lord of Radiance. Balder had already obtained the location of this component, and guided by fate and divine power, he gradually gathered it in his hands.
However, according to the agreement with the Emperor, a certain number of Custodians and Knights Errant would be stationed in this star fortress as a "security guarantee." Although Balder believed that the so-called "guarantee" provided by the Custodians, who held some dark technological relics, was more of a ceremonial one, the agreement still had to be observed.
So, after communicating with the Emperor, deep in the Endless Journey, the Imperial Guards led by Marius, after experiencing the initial confusion and hesitation, were ready to communicate with this Iron Man AI first. The Emperor also attached great importance to it. The Emperor sent another Captain Sanders, whom he valued very much, to quietly come to the Endless Journey.
------------
"So, are we going to meet an AI ready to surrender?" Marius said in surprise after a brief identity verification and communication. "How could such a blasphemous creation exist in this world?"
"Kid, be more open-minded. There are many unexpected things in this world, and many choices are made after weighing the pros and cons." Although Sanders and Marius are both captains of the Imperial Guard, it is obvious that Sanders is more valued, has more seniority, and is more capable.
"No matter what, he brought back the lost knowledge and was discovered by the Supreme Lord Commander of the Space Wolves, so we must monitor and control him," Sanders said.
"What about the other people involved?"
"The Emperor has arranged everything." Sanders said. This is the good thing about the Imperial Guards. If the Emperor says something, they will complete it without fail. If he says not to care, they will really not care at all and will be honest and obedient!
Chapter 144: AI Verbal Battle with Imperial Guards
"Hey. The Emperor's attendants are here, and you should prepare to meet them." In a warehouse on the Endless Journey, the Endless Journey was chatting with the Lord of Radiance. The two AIs got along very well. After all, so many years had passed, and there were really few advanced AIs left in this world.
After Balder and the Lord of Radiance reached an agreement, they transferred a group of Titans, including the Warlord Titan of Righteous Fury, the host of the Lord of Glory, to the Endless Journey in the name of war. Thus, the Endless Journey and the Far Traveler Star Chart had a new chat partner.
However, in the Warhammer universe, happy times are always rare. Now, the Lord of Radiance needs to meet with the Emperor's guards, while the Endless Journey and the Farstrider Star Chart must deal with their own affairs. As an ancient AI, the technical data provided by the Lord of Radiance is very valuable.
"What a bummer." The Lord of Glory seemed to be still unsatisfied in his tone.
As the door opened, the Emperor's attendants appeared at the end of the corridor.
"Their hats really do look like a crop called corn from ancient Terra. Their cervical vertebrae are indeed specially modified." This was the Lord of Glory's first impression of the Imperial Guards.
"Hateful intelligence, I am the Lord of Mankind, the Ruler of the Empire, and the Messenger of the Emperor of Mankind. I have waited here to supervise and control you. All your actions will fall into our eyes. If you disobey us in the slightest, we will destroy you in accordance with the Emperor's will!" Marius walked forward and said to the huge Titan, while the servants behind him also stepped forward quickly, holding the instruments in their hands, forming a semicircular encirclement array.
Had the Imperial Guard ever seen an Abomination Intelligence? Of course they had. After all, the First Legion had extinction machines. As a captain in the Imperial Guard, Marius had certainly seen these creatures. So, drawing on his past experience, he decided to first intimidate the being before him.
"Well, boring." The Lord of Radiance controlled the optical and scanning arrays all over the Titan's body and looked at the golden corn cobs in front of him. There was absolutely no respect or fear in his tone.
"Actually, I have a question," the Lord of Radiance spoke. "What makes you think a few Stasis Fields, a few Vortex Grenades, and Dark Matter Bombs can defeat me? Who gave you that confidence? Is it ignorance? Or has your master, the Emperor of Humanity, entrusted you with something terrifying?"
"I..." Marius's eyes suddenly narrowed into needle-like shapes, foreshadowing danger. He hadn't expected that upon their encounter, the other party would see through his cards so clearly! The vortex grenade was a space-collapse weapon, used alongside the dark matter bomb to deal with unconventional elements. Stasis was designed to restrict the opponent. Clearly, the other party didn't care.
As for the other items, Marius truly didn't bring any. As for items like the Emperor's Psionic Fragments, Balder would never agree to bring them aboard the Endless Journey. After all, compared to the Emperor's Psionic Fragments, vortex grenades and dark matter bombs were nothing. They wouldn't pose any threat to the Endless Journey, but the Emperor's Psionic Fragments were different!
Balder and the Emperor did indeed discuss and agree to allow the Custodians access to the AI, but this was more of a formality, a token of the Emperor's involvement and knowledge. Balder was primarily responsible for the oversight and monitoring of the Radiant Lord. However, it was clear that Sanders and Marius were unaware of the complexities involved; they truly believed they were Wardens!
"Okay, now that I've decided to set foot on this battleship, I've made the decision. Don't threaten me with the weapons you use to deal with children. I've seen and experienced so much. You can't imagine what your ancestors have achieved. Now you've only picked up the things left behind by your predecessors and think you have powerful power in your hands. This idea is ridiculous." said the Lord of Glory.
"However, your era has passed. Now it is the Emperor who leads mankind. We will scale new heights of civilization. Science and rationality will allow mankind to achieve greater glory. And in this new era, you must abide by the laws set by the Emperor," Sanders said.
"I am willing to cooperate with the humans of this era and respect the laws of the Emperor. So I would like to ask, what did the Emperor tell you before you came? Did he treat me as a prisoner? Are you the jailers? Or are there other people guarding me? Who are your superiors?" said the Lord of Glory.
"You don't need to know that, AI!" Sanders said.
"Haha, you covered it up. It's obvious that you are not jailers, but auxiliary personnel. Everything here is in charge of another person. He is the one who decides my fate, and you have no right to do this to me. You are overstepping your bounds." The Lord of Radiance's combo of attacks silenced the two captains of the Imperial Guards, because the Emperor really only asked them to assist Balder. They were just followers, not decision makers.
I can only say that these Custodians are honest and sincere. They will not overstep the boundaries of their rights, unlike some Inquisitors in the 40K era who really think they are the spokespersons of the Emperor and have unlimited power! In this regard, the Custodians are still doing well.
"You are very loyal to your master." said the Lord of Radiance.
"Loyalty is our foundation. We will be the most powerful and reliable subordinates of the Lord of Mankind," said Marius.
"The most powerful?" The Radiant Lord's voice was peculiar. "Are you as powerful as the Adeptus Mechanicus? While a good portion of them mutter nonsense all day, they are indispensable to the Imperium. Tell me, what makes the Custodes so powerful?"
"In essence, you are an extension of the Emperor's will and his assistants. But you are doing a very bad job. In the eyes of outsiders, you are the Emperor's spies and the Emperor's military supervisors. You look at everyone like a thief, and through you, many people think that the Emperor is a tyrant. However, for the people of the Empire, what they need is a capable, fair and benevolent ruler, at least on the surface. Isn't it?" said the Lord of Radiance.
"Hmph, what do mortals know? We inherit the Emperor's genes and expectations. We know the darkness and dangers of the galaxy. Everything we do is for the continuation of humanity." A Guard retorted.
"Mortals? Hahaha." The majestic Titan let out a roar of laughter, its massive body flexing as if at a ridiculous joke. "A bunch of scoundrels! Have you ever witnessed the grandeur of humanity's Golden Age? Did the Emperor's genes bestow upon you extraordinary powers just so you can mock mortals?"
"Look at you, fragile bodies filled with a head full of incomprehensible arrogance and stubbornness. You possess so little knowledge and no ability to innovate. Human strength lies in creativity and progress, not brutality and stubbornness. You are too weak. A so-called extinction machine could kill a whole group of you! You flaunt the technology and weapons created by our mortal ancestors. Without them, what could you do?"
"Have you ever seen the darkness of the galaxy? Don't be ridiculous. During the Iron Man Rebellion and humanity's previous wars, the darkness and conspiracy there were beyond your imagination! You can't understand the glory of humanity in the Golden Age, and you know very little about the horrors that exist in the warp. Your research on technology and rationality is even worse than those weirdos on Mars! Those guys do have problems with their brains, but they do work on technology. What about you?"
"The Emperor envisioned humans to be progressive, rational, wise, understanding, tolerant, and kind. As for the Emperor's will, which of these do you possess?" The Lord of Radiance mocked mercilessly.
"Our mission requires us to be strong. Understanding and tolerance are not our responsibilities. We are warriors, the sharpest spears of the Empire. We hate intelligence. If it were not for the Emperor's order! I would have destroyed you completely long ago." A guard said angrily.
"Ehmmmm, you know nothing about power," the Lord of Radiance sneered. "Sometime, with certain permission, I'll let my bodyguards spar with you. Don't embarrass your master."
"A grumbler who only knows how to dwell on the past," Marius began. "Perhaps, humanity did achieve glory in the past that we can hardly imagine, but that is history. Dwelling on the past, rather than focusing on the present, is worthless. This is the Age of the Emperor, and we are striving to establish a galaxy ruled by humanity. And what about you? What are you doing? You identify with human civilization and consider yourself a predecessor, yet while humanity struggles in the darkness of the past, what are you doing?"
"We fought with blood and loyalty as we reestablished order and made the dying human civilization flourish again. What about you?" Marius asked.
"Me? I'm looking for someone who can accept me and work with the remaining brothers." said the Lord of Glory.
"So, you finally accept the Emperor's rules, don't you? Even if it is very different from what you once knew. Different times always have different rules." Marius said.
"But this doesn't stop me from disliking you!" The Lord of Radiance replied. Naturally, the Lord of Radiance could not point out the peculiarity of Balder. In fact, the Lord of Radiance did not know much about Balder's situation, and Tarasim did not say much to him.
"A lot of people see us as executioners, but we don't care," Sanders said.
"Whether you care or not is not of my concern. It's just that your attitude has worsened the Emperor's image among the people of the Empire. You are smearing the Emperor. I am merely stating the facts objectively. Your arrogance and stubbornness are without reason. The Emperor gave you power and authority to better serve humanity, and you have done a poor job."
"You are simplifying all problems into surveillance and violence, which is wrong. You justify your actions without learning from others' better practices. You are lazy. Ask yourself, are you doing well enough?" asked the Lord of Radiance.
"Lord Balder is indeed doing better than us." Marius said.
"Many people do better than you. You are the Emperor's emissaries. When you are deployed to the Legion, you are not just to supervise the army, but also to provide help and advice to the Legion, so that they can unite around the Emperor. Put your position correctly and do your job well."
"Stop staring at me. You are here just for a ritual. I will not betray human civilization. I will do as agreed with humans. That's all." The Lord of Radiance stopped the conversation.
"Let's go." Sanders said, and led the way out.
--------------
"I feel offended." On the way back, a guard said to Sanders.
"This hateful intelligence makes no secret of its dissatisfaction with us," Marius said suddenly. "But I have to admit, some of what he says is quite right. Sometimes kindness and gentleness are indeed more effective than surveillance and violence."
"Do you agree, or partially agree, with this statement about aversion to intelligence?" Sanders paused and said in a serious tone.
"If we want the Legion to fight wholeheartedly for the Emperor and humanity, why can't we become friends with them while remaining vigilant? Encouragement and help are often more effective than spurring them on," Marius said. Under Balder's influence, Marius was also trying new methods. After accidentally drinking mead with some members of the Wolf Legion, Marius clearly found that the relationship and cooperation between them had improved a lot.
"We only want results, regardless of the means." Sanders said after a moment of silence.
"I will use whatever means I deem appropriate to complete the Emperor's mission. I am determined in my heart," said Marius.
"Great. I'll wait and see," Sanders said.
--------------
"This abomination intelligence is quite interesting, isn't it? Or perhaps a bit naive," the Emperor said to the Traveler. It was clear that the scene just now had not escaped the eyes of the two.
"And what you are pursuing, isn't it the innocence you once had? Imperial truth, rationality and technology, tolerance and kindness, and your feelings towards the Primarchs. Even if you need to disguise your original intentions," said the Traveler.
"But we live in a dark galaxy. The light of reason and virtue is so weak."
"Being cruel and brutal to the enemy does not conflict with being kind and tolerant to one's own people. Humans are social animals. Rough and simple rule is inefficient and has serious consequences. It will push many people who could have been gathered under one's command to the side of the Chaos God. When an individual is wrapped in hatred and despair, I am not surprised by anything that happens. It is the vast middle and lower classes that constitute human society, not a few Primarchs, Guards and Legions." said the Traveler.
"That makes sense. I hope you can uphold the light in your heart." The emperor said after thinking for a long time.
"I will certainly do that," said the traveler.
Chapter 145: Ruth, you have to stand up! (Rewards for extra chapters!)
"The Emperor is a guy with a flexible moral bottom line." After the Emperor left, the Traveler also withdrew, and the human side took the lead again.
Balder knew that the AI known as the Lord of Radiance had passed this test. As long as this creature didn't commit suicide, the Emperor had no intention of dealing with him. The Emperor described the Lord of Radiance as "naive." Actually, in a sense, this was a compliment. After all, after witnessing the darkness and cruelty of the galaxy, he still pursued glory and virtue. What else could that be but naive?
The Emperor was very tolerant. He opposed religion and the use of AI. But look at the Mechanicus—is it a religion? And are there no AI within the Mechanicus? Clearly, both of these offenses were grave. Yet, the Emperor still needed the Mechanicus' services for the Great Crusade, even granting them the status of Imperial allies, not subordinates. Naturally, the Emperor would not actually take action against an AI whose "naive" ideas could aid him in rebuilding his technological development.
However, necessary precautions must be taken. The Custodians are, to some extent, an extension of the Emperor's will. When the Emperor focuses on them, what they see is what the Emperor sees. After absorbing the power of faith, the Emperor's power is even greater than before. If the Lord of Radiance could be targeted by both the Emperor and the Traveler, and if he could still escape, he would truly be a Deus Ex Machina! Therefore, the scolding Marius and the others deserved was their duty; it was their mission to receive it!
"I'll have to talk to Rus about this sometime." Balder thought for a moment and decided to place at least one avatar of the Lord of Radiance on Rus's ship. After all, he couldn't stay with Rus for long, and if anything went wrong, someone would be needed to handle it. As for whether Rus would fly into a rage upon seeing the AI? Definitely not! The Primarchs, all so self-important, couldn't control an AI? Although sometimes, it certainly wasn't possible.
On the one hand, it was Dad's permission. On the other hand, it's human nature to hide little secrets. Which group doesn't have their own little secrets? The Daemon Alliance has more little secrets than the stars in the Milky Way. The loyal Blue has an alien beacon, the Blood Angels and the Wolves have their own genetic flaws, and the Iron Hands are full of high-tech. If they get an ancient relic, why not hide it first?
"Collate today's situation and send it to Ruth. I'm going to take care of something else first," Bader instructed. Meanwhile, what was Ruth busy with? Ruth's pressure was even greater than Bader's.
------------
"Everyone, I have called you here to discuss a very important issue." Rus sat on his throne in the largest conference room on Rus's flagship, the Heracles.
The meeting room on the Heracles Fenr was different from the others. At the highest level, there were two thrones, one decorated with crossed swords and axes. That was Rus's throne. His throne was on the left. On the right, there was an empty throne, its back adorned with flames and forge hammers. That was the place Rus had reserved for Balder.
In the hall, there were two columns, left and right. On the left were the thirteen captains that Russ had entrusted to him, while on the right were Russ's most trusted wolf guards, priests, and other qualified advisors from the legion.
This time, aside from Balder and the three captains who were away, all ten captains of the Russ Legion and the vast majority of the advisory council members were present. Clearly, this display of power meant something important was about to be discussed.
Russ spoke, but the audience fell silent. The Einhorgar advisory council, represented by the Rune Priests on his right, remained silent, while the Wolf Lords on his left had gloomy expressions, seemingly deeply unhappy. Seeing this, Russ felt torn. It was clear that his own Wolf Lords were opposed to the question he was about to raise. Before the meeting, Russ had already expressed certain ideas through various channels, but it seemed the effect wasn't very positive.
"I have decided to recruit new Space Marines besides the Fenrisians." Russ still spoke.
"My king, are the men of Fenris lacking courage and disappointing you, or have our actions tarnished their honor?" Captain Garner Ganhilt of the First Company stood up and spoke to Russ. "We may not be elite yet, but we are loyal, loyal to you and your father. We will do our utmost to improve our abilities, and we hope you will continue to trust and respect us as before."
"I know your loyalty. But don't you think that the number of qualified Space Marines we can recruit from Fenris is too small? We have suffered heavy losses in the battle for the Flaming Wheel sector. Fenris, our home, the Fenrisians, our brothers, how many more can we recruit? Don't you see? In order to capture such a sector, we have to drag in members of other brother chapters. We don't even have the ability to capture a sector independently!"
"So, tell me, how do we solve this problem? My captains and priests." Russ looked around the stage at all the wolf lords and consultants present.
In the battle that just ended, Russ successfully completed his mission, but the losses were enormous, with some companies losing nearly a third of their troops! Although it was much better than in the background, Russ was still very dissatisfied. After all, people are compared, and there was no Balder in the background. Russ had been heartless about this loss, but now he couldn't do that!
Because the Emperor's expectations for Rus had changed. Historically, the Emperor favored Rus, admiring his loyalty and fearlessness, and had therefore trained him as an executioner. But now, the Emperor felt the need to give Rus a greater responsibility, a more important mission. All of this depended on Rus commanding a more powerful Legion. In both overt and covert communications, both the Emperor and the Sigillite subtly suggested accelerating the Sixth Legion's expansion. The question now arose: how many soldiers could Fenris recruit in such a short period of time?
Furthermore, Balder had previously warned Russ to be wary of the Chapter's gene-seed, suggesting that the native Fenrisian genes might produce some undesirable mutations. Later, Russ indeed discovered the problems caused by certain genes. These various factors led Russ to recruit warriors from outside Fenris to expand the Legion. However, it was clear that his fellow Fenrisians were not interested in outsiders joining the Legion.
"We can recruit more people. Fenris has not reached his limit yet." Holmi Longgang said.
"Then what? You've only delayed the discussion of this issue, and you'll cause Fenris to bleed. War is cruel. In the future, we will encounter enemies even more terrifying than the orcs in the Flaming Wheel sector. And by then, if we are not prepared, who will be responsible for the losses and consequences caused by this?" Russ asked.
"We need to ensure the population of Fenris. In the future, the Legion will own multiple worlds, and we need to rule these worlds effectively. Ruling a world requires people, a large number of knowledgeable and virtuous people. The bureaucrats of Terra are not trustworthy, and we have to use our own people. So Fenris cannot lose too much population, and we need to absorb new blood into the Legion." At this time, the Rune Priest Horton spoke.
"Fenrisians are born warriors and should be warriors, but now you want Fenrisians to manage other things like bureaucrats. Your ideas are cowardly and you will destroy Fenris." Captain Lufen said dissatisfiedly.
"The Fenrisians are also proficient in casting. It is inappropriate to arbitrarily label the people of a planet." Captain Walder Abyssal Dawn spoke. Most of the people in his company were Terrans, so he did not mind introducing soldiers from other planets. He was one of the few captains present who fully supported Rus.
Naturally, Walder's words were met with dissatisfaction and even hostility from other wolf lords.
"Everyone, we have been fighting side by side with a large number of mortal legions. There are also very good and outstanding people among them. So now, can we give these colleagues who are weaker but also worthy of the name of warriors a chance to improve themselves and join the legion sequence?" Rus showed his flexible skills at this moment.
The saying "asking for a high price, then paying the low price" is true. Russ first proposed setting up recruitment points on other planets, which was undoubtedly unacceptable to the current Captains of the Space Wolves. Well, now Russ had to settle for the next best thing: recruiting suitable personnel from the Space Wolves' auxiliary forces and implanting them with the gene-seed of Space Wolves warriors from Terra.
"As a reward for the best of the mortal legions?" the Grand Captains pondered. The Space Wolves might have many problems, but after Russ's return, the Legion's attitude towards mortals and their comrades had become much better. It's not an exaggeration to say this was a belief ingrained in their gene-seed. After all, in the 40th Century, Logan had fought the Inquisition for his mortal brothers on Armageddon.
In the 30th millennium, Russ even engaged in a battle with Angron to prevent him from harming the Warhounds. This was a unique occurrence in the 30th millennium era. Primarchs often fought each other for many reasons, but this was the only time he engaged in a duel with his comrades! This alone demonstrates that Russ and his Space Wolves were truly devoted to their comrades. Regardless of success or failure, at least Russ tried, which is far more effective than some Primarchs simply issuing statements.
"There are many outstanding and admirable people among the mortal brothers. I think this is acceptable." Qiao Lin Blood Howl spoke. As a blood relative of Rus, even if everyone opposed Rus, he would not object! He just needed to find a suitable opportunity to express his opinion.
"We can form a review body and list the specific requirements. If they are good enough, I think it's okay to let them become our real brothers. Especially in some technical positions such as pilots." The company commander Haval Hongren, who is responsible for fire support and breakthrough, also expressed his support.
Originally, this mission was supposed to be carried out by the Sturgard Company, but they left with the Supreme Lord Commander, so the entire army's fire support fell to him. Well, the Space Wolves are first-rate at slashing, and they're also good at artillery and covering fire, but flying really struggles for them. After all, it's a skill based on talent, not just physical fitness. We all learned aerial combat together, but some people are just awesome...
"I have no objection to the Legion adding personnel, but if you want to join my company, then my requirements will be higher." The captain of the 12th Company, Lumag, agreed with reservations. After all, his company was responsible for close combat, and he still did not trust the physical strength and willpower of mortals.
"So, have we passed this?" Russ looked down at the audience. The Rune Priests and Wolf Guards on the advisory council were relatively supportive. And on the Captain's side, four already expressed support. Even if everyone else opposed it, it wouldn't matter. After all, that didn't even include Balder's side. If it didn't pass this time, it would definitely pass at the next meeting.
"I also don't want ordinary people directly entering my Grand Company," Garner Ganhilt snorted. Unlike most First Company captains who had a close relationship with their primarchs, Garner Ganhilt's personal relationship with Russ wasn't particularly close. It was simply because of his considerable abilities and seniority that he became Grand Captain of the First Company. (Note: This is background information; this Grand Captain ultimately died protecting the fleet during the naval battle with the Alpha Fleet.)
"Yes, each Grand Company can choose whether to recruit newcomers from the Mortal Legion according to their needs." After completing the main task, Russ decided to appease his subordinates. After all, even if these ten captains were not wanted, didn't Balder still have three captains?
"So, that's the end of it. Now let's move on to the next thing." Rus's tone suddenly changed. If just now everyone was discussing the issue and convincing others with reason, now Rus's words were like a biting cold wind. "Ogwai Cankuei, Amledi Skarsson, shouldn't you explain how your assigned Bear gunship lost half its wing during training?"
Following Rus's roar, Captain Ogvai of the Third and Captain Amledi of the Fifth shuddered. The Third was the Space Wolves' assault company, tasked with carrying out deep strikes. Amledi's company, on the other hand, was a versatile unit, capable of carrying out a variety of missions. In the past, they had performed well and were active in meetings, but this time, the two men retreated into a corner, as quiet as moles.
Russ and Balder had different approaches to leading their troops, especially when acquiring new equipment. Balder first gathered the new equipment aboard his own ship, the Endless Journey, and then summoned the various Grand Companies to study it. After completing the basic training, he assigned technical personnel and then decided whether to distribute it to the subordinate companies.
Russ, a man of great generosity, was given 30 Frost Bear gunships. Ten remained on his flagship, and the remaining 10 were distributed directly to his companies, two per company. Each company was responsible for its use. Russ's Iron Priests would also be dispersed among the companies.
Each Grand Company of Space Wolves has its own specialized missions. The Grand Captains also have different personalities and styles, so it's inevitable that some Grand Captains will be more uninhibited than others when it comes to their use.
For example, in a training session not long ago, when the 3rd Company was flying in formation, due to formation problems, a Stormbird and a Bear gunship got too close to each other, so that the Stormbird was sucked into the latter's wake. The Stormbird was immediately defeated and half of the Bear gunship's wings were cut off. The latter didn't crash down directly because of the powerful Machine Soul!
Upon returning, the Mechanical Priest from Huangquan No. 8 was heartbroken upon seeing the Bear gunship with half its wing missing. He unleashed a stream of binary swear words. A conflict nearly erupted between the two sides.
The Fifth Company, however, had been forced to launch an artillery attack despite insufficient maintenance and the displeasure of the Machine Spirit, nearly burning out the capacitors of the triple turbolaser cannon at emplacement 1. This was something a Space Wolves company couldn't possibly repair. The incident was reported to headquarters, and the Iron Priests diagnosed it as improper operation.
