"Very good, let's exchange some information first," the traveler nodded. He removed his hood, not hiding his face. After all, for a traveler, his face was just a disguise that could be changed at any time. However, this action gave the others a slight shock.

"This lord, how handsome..." was Zavin's first thought. Honestly, even among the Emperor's Children, a Legion teeming with handsome men and showy figures, Zavin was incredibly confident in his demeanor and exquisite appearance. But this time, Zavin felt the man before him was exceptionally pleasing and handsome, no matter how he looked at him. He was completely different from any of the Emperor's attendants he had met before. The others, too, shared a similar admiration. Their relationship grew closer, almost imperceptibly.

"Hmm. Being handsome has its perks." The traveler felt a bit amused. Although the traveler had only a tiny amount of power to reach this point after traversing Slaanesh's blockade, this little power could be destroyed by a greater daemon, reduced to ash by a Titan's artillery. But a god was still a god after all. This body possessed the divine visage, which could be interpreted as +8 Charisma. Furthermore, it could not be divined by beings outside of the standard, either through psychic powers or other means. "Out of the standard" here refers to evil gods or beings of extremely high power, such as some of the beings in the ribs.

Afterward, the two sides exchanged their intelligence. Through the Traveler's information, Tarvitz and his companions realized a serious problem: the corruption's depths were far greater than they had imagined. The Traveler pointed out that Eidolon himself had been corrupted, whereas Tarvitz had previously believed Eidolon was simply deceived. Furthermore, the instigator of the Legion's corruption was no simple figure, but a certain entity within the Warp, a lifelong enemy of the Imperium and human civilization!

"If that's the case, we must obtain the evidence and report it to the Primarch immediately," Tarvitz said anxiously. He was already feeling the immense pressure.

"Tell this to Primarch Fulgrim? Then why would Fulgrim trust you instead of his left-hand man, Supreme Lord Commander Eidolon?" the Traveler countered. The Emperor's retainers held a special status, and this distinction was sometimes reflected in the way they addressed the Primarch. Simply put, when pleased, they could address the Primarch as "Sir." When unhappy, they could simply address him by his name and "Primarch." This was clearly evident in the Traveler's current attitude towards Fulgrim. The Emperor's children could find no fault with the Traveler calling him Primarch Fulgrim.

"You represent the Emperor, and your words have absolute credibility," said Tarvitz.

"Yes, I represent the Emperor. I can request that all problems be reported to the Emperor, but then what? Will the Emperor issue an order to clean up these cancers? This will delay for a long time. Even if Primarch Fulgrim decides to deal with Eidolon, I'm afraid this guy and the mastermind behind it will have escaped. This is a problem. And how the Emperor will treat Primarch Fulgrim is another problem. Primarch Fulgrim has done a very good job before, and you don't want this matter to become too big a deal, do you?"

"Everyone, I have a bottom line. The cancer of the Third Legion must be eradicated. Eidolon and his subordinates must be dealt with, but the honor and Primarch of the Third Legion can be spared. This is also the will of the higher-ups," the Traveler said sternly. Well, the will of the higher-ups is the Traveler's will. For various reasons, Fulgrim and the Third Legion must maintain their dignity. Even after the rebellion, the Traveler will still respect those loyal sons who stand by the Emperor. As for the Emperor's wishes? The Traveler has already communicated with the Emperor, and the Emperor has generally agreed.

"Thank you for the Emperor's kindness and tolerance." Hearing these words, Tarvitz and the others' favorability immediately soared. Morale was at its highest point! They truly loved their Primarch! "If you have any requests, please speak up."

"In fact, your actions are not secretive. I think Eidolon already knows your plan. He is even hiding here with the mastermind behind the scenes, waiting for your arrival and then catching you all in one fell swoop. This is a pit, an unavoidable trap. I may be able to get out, but if you go in, there is no hope at all." said the traveler.

"It's okay, sir. We are willing to sacrifice ourselves in exchange for the victory of the operation. We will cover you and obtain evidence of Eidolon's blasphemy. Then you can leave by yourself. We will fight to the last moment." Tarvitz said firmly.

"..." Tarvitz's overly straightforward and loyal words completely stumped the Traveler. Or perhaps it even touched the Traveler. The Traveler silently made a wish. If this guy could survive the Heresy, the Traveler would make him a Chapter Master, one with thousands of men, not a thousand-man Codex like Guilliman.

"We can actually adopt some better methods. For example, find some external help and take action at a time and place that the other party least expects." said the traveler.

"Can you tell me a little more details?" Tarvitz asked with some surprise.

"You see, since the other party has already received news about you and has even made arrangements, if we jump in now, it would be simply courting death. So we can't act now. We can change the time and place. For example, before they complete the desecration ritual, we can lurk on their ship." said the traveler.

"You..." Tarvitz was speechless. On the ground, they could still exploit the vast expanses of space and the complex terrain to maneuver, but in space, with just this one cruiser... Look at the opposing fleet, look at Eidolon's massive battle barge, the Paragon (battleship-class). Wasn't that destroyed in a single round?

"I will lead a group of people to teleport to this flagship, and then I will try my best to destroy its power system. According to your intelligence, those blasphemous artifacts and equipment are all on this battleship. As long as we can keep it, it will be fine."

"And your mission is to go to the Talon 5 base immediately. The Luna Wolves' fleet will be stationed here soon. The commander of the vanguard fleet is Torgaddon. You have a good relationship with him. Persuade him to bring the fleet here, and tell Primarch Horus about this matter so that he can handle it personally." said the traveler.

The plan, in simple terms, was to leave evidence and quickly call in someone capable of handling the situation! At the very least, Horus had to arrive before Fulgrim arrived. No matter how arrogant or headstrong Fulgrim was, Horus could control him.

"Eidolon is an excellent warrior, his subordinates are also carefully selected people, and there is also the mastermind in the shadows. They are very powerful. I don't think it is realistic for you to destroy the power system of this battleship." Tarvitz said.

"Hmm..." After pondering for a moment, the traveler decided to give the other party a little shock from the emperor's servant. He took out something the size of a large thermos from his four-dimensional pocket...

"Holy crap..." Tarvitz was stunned. He hadn't expected to see something so forbidden and dangerous after the Terran Conquest. Some others had no idea what it was.

"Don't be afraid, this is a last resort," the traveler said with a smile. The weapon in his hand was called a vortex grenade. Indeed, the killing principle was the same as the vortex torpedo used to blow up planets, except that this thing was smaller. Because it was so small, it was also very difficult to manufacture and was rarely used. As for its power? Let's put it this way, blowing up a planet is impossible, but if it is properly installed, it should be able to blow up a Titan or something. Therefore, this thing has no problem dealing with the reactor and outer protective shell of a battleship.

"I'm actually quite peaceful. I don't particularly enjoy complete destruction." Looking at the flustered expressions of the Imperial Children before him, the Traveler began to explain. "This is just a backup plan, a last resort. Actually, we could try to talk to the Machine Spirit. Perhaps it can understand my difficulties..." However, watching the increasingly gloomy expressions of Eidolon and the others, the Traveler felt vaguely that his explanation was in vain. This was truly awkward.

"Okay, everyone, I need a group of volunteers to work with me." The traveler decided not to worry about these things anymore.

"I am willing to follow you," said Tarvitz.

"You can't. Only if you go to see Torgaddon will he believe you and bring us vital assistance and let Primarch Horus come here." The traveler directly rejected the other party's suggestion.

"I am willing to follow you, my lord," said Zaven.

"Okay, then you go find a group of people who are good at hiding and boarding, and have them prepare for battle. As for how to board Eidolon's flagship, that's my business," said the traveler.

"Sir, do we really want to let Lord Horus handle this matter?" asked Eidolon. He originally thought that this matter could be resolved within the legion.

"This is the bottom line. You know your Primarch. He is surprisingly stubborn and willful about the things he likes. If the Emperor does not take action himself, then Primarch Horus is the best choice," said the Traveler.

"Okay, then let's arrange it this way. My warship will wait until you and your subordinates are transported away, and then we will take action immediately. You must hold on until we arrive." said Tarvitz.

Chapter 321 Traveler: This ship is ours

"My lord, have you decided to jump over like this? The hyperspace signal generated by the transmission will be captured by the other side, and then they will notice it. A war will be inevitable." Before setting off, Tarvitz said with some concern.

"This is the general situation, but no matter what, there will always be some abnormal situations." The traveler said indifferently.

"So, you're the second case?" Tarvitz asked.

"No. I'm being modest. I'm in the third category." A faint smile played on the Traveler's lips. While the Traveler's clone's power was indeed weak, it still possessed the strength of a high-ranking Great Demon. Furthermore, travel was the Traveler's specialty, and he also possessed some mechanical powers. He could fly through the warship's teleportation room simply by concealing the transmission signal, a feat that required minimal effort. It was a classic case of "knowing it is easy." He could even easily bring his own people to a designated location, then converse with the warship's machine spirit through metaphysical or scientific means...

"...You are so humorous." Tarvitz said somewhat embarrassedly.

"Alright, everyone, get down to business," the Traveler said. Being a human or a god requires a positive attitude. The Traveler had survived such a devastating disaster, so these things now seemed like trifles. The Traveler had seen plenty. As for the people accompanying him on this mission, the Traveler was prepared. He couldn't guarantee their survival, but he could at least guarantee that if they fell, he could collect their souls. After all, he had personally participated. When it came to studying and manipulating souls, how could those "lower-level" demons compare to him?

"Have you memorized everything I told you, along with the accompanying rhetoric? Have you prepared the data and evidence?" the Traveler asked. Because the Traveler could observe the galaxy from a higher dimension, some of the information they obtained was obtained through metaphysical means. While this wouldn't convince the possessed Fulgrim, it would convince the normal Horus and Torgaddon. As for an explanation? That was easy enough, too. Just make up a reason. The Emperor's sons couldn't question them, right?

"I've got it all. I will convince Lord Torgaddon and persuade Lord Horus to resolve this matter personally." Tarvitz nodded.

"Very good, then let's prepare for action." The traveler nodded.

--------

"We're getting in now? Without any obstacles? And it doesn't seem to have triggered the alarm inside the battleship!" Karion Zavin said in shock after he recovered from the brief trance after being teleported.

"Yes, we got in smoothly, and we are now in the core area of the Thinker sequence of this battleship." The traveler nodded.

"Are we here to disable this battleship?" asked Zavin.

"No, I tried to persuade this battleship to cooperate with me. Watch your words, Emperor's Child. This machine spirit has discovered us." The traveler said with a mysterious smile.

"Has the Machine Spirit discovered us? Will it sound the alarm?" Zavin suddenly felt nervous. The warship's equipment was extremely complex, much of it even reaching the realm of metaphysics. Naturally, there would be some defensive measures in the core areas of this warship. And if the Machine Spirit sensed it...

"I feel like we can discuss something," the Traveler began. His voice seemed to possess a certain magical power, calming those who heard it. What followed shattered Zavin's entire understanding of the world. It seemed as if the Traveler was somehow communicating with the warship's Machine Soul. And the warship's Machine Soul actually responded. He could faintly sense a slight vibration in the machinery, and inexplicable streams of information flashed across some data panels. The low hum of the surrounding Thinker engines and the whirring fans seemed to come alive.

"Is this even possible? As expected of the Emperor's attendant." Zavin was genuinely shocked. However, the actual communication process was completely different from what Zavin had imagined.

The Traveler was indeed communicating with the warship's Machine Soul. This was a historic vessel, its construction dating back to the end of the Golden Age. The Machine Soul itself was complex, encompassing mechanical and technical components, as well as echoes of the souls of past captains and individuals. This was true even on Titan, so how much more so on more advanced warships? And as a renowned inventor and galactic street slicker in human history, the Traveler somehow found some common ground...

After more than half an hour, the battleship's Machine Soul was persuaded and said it could provide some help that did not violate the basic rules! That's right, Machine Souls are also restricted. The Mechanicus worships Machine Souls, but at the same time, they also restrict Machine Souls. They can't just do whatever they want. And the Traveler accepted it. In fact, He also had a backup plan. If the Machine Soul disagrees, then He will use force! Pai Gu's Heart-Locking Beetle is ready, and the vortex grenade in his hand is also ready! If it doesn't work, I'll blow you up!

"I have always convinced people with reason." After the Traveler finished communicating with the Machine Spirit, he turned around and said this to a group of stunned Emperor's children.

"So shall we start now?" asked Zaven.

"No, let me divine first and see where our enemies are," the Traveler said, shaking his head. As a deity, He could divine silently and undetectably when divining lower beings. He soon had a result: Eidolon and most of his men were on the planet's surface. The Slaanesh Archdaemon Enkari was also aboard the fleet, but she and her demons were aboard another cruiser. Because it wasn't time to reveal themselves yet, Enkari and her demons had to remain carefully hidden. Furthermore, the environment aboard the battleship Exemplar was far too clean, making the Slaanesh demons somewhat uncomfortable.

"We can wait a while. Time is on our side. Think about it. Eidolon got the news that you would come here to collect evidence, and his response was to set a trap. So, before he was sure you wouldn't come, he would wait for you for quite a long time, which would buy us time. Before Eidolon reacts, we just have to wait quietly and make some preparations."

"Okay, we can wait, but we can't do nothing," said Zavin.

"Then let's first understand the situation of this battleship, and then find the dreadnought storage room of this battleship." The traveler said after thinking for a while.

"Why do we have to go to the Dreadnought storage room? If I remember correctly, according to the intelligence, all available Dreadnoughts have been deployed to the ground. There are only aircraft bodies in the Dreadnought storage room now, no personnel." Zaven said.

"This just meets my needs. I can make them move with just a small thing." The traveler said, taking out something, the Traveler version of the Heart-Locking Beetle...

"So, once the war starts, we will have an extra team of Dreadnoughts to cooperate in the battle?" asked Zawen.

"Yes, but Dreadnought alone is not enough. We must also try our best to control the internal defense and monitoring systems of this battleship and turn this place into half of our home ground." said the traveler.

"Are you planning to kill them all here?" Zavin asked in shock. It was obvious that this arrangement was intended to turn the Exemplar into a trap.

"I originally had this idea, but unfortunately, I don't have enough strength. And I can't kill them all." The traveler looked at his weak body and said with some regret.

The Traveler's plan was simple: once Eidolon returned to his flagship, he would immediately seize control of the warship's Machine Spirit, seize control of the entire vessel, and then restrain the occupants. The Traveler couldn't eliminate all of them, as a fleet of Imperial Children was present. If the other Imperial Children commanders were certain that the Legionaries aboard the Paragon, along with Eidolon, were dead, they would destroy the Paragon, along with the evidence aboard, with torpedoes and macrocannons. That would leave no evidence. Furthermore, the warship was occupied by at least 300 elite Imperial Children, many of them Phoenix Guard. Nearby, a Slaanesh Archdaemon and her daemon host were watching closely. Honestly, from a power perspective, capturing all of them would be difficult. The Traveler's plan was to buy time, waiting for Horus and his Legions to arrive and settle the matter.

Of course, the traveler was prepared. What if Fulgrim's fleet arrived? That would be a tragic story. The traveler's only option was to obtain evidence and then find a way to escape with the surviving warriors and the souls of the fallen. He could simply open a portal, escape to the planet's surface, and find a place to hide. He could wait until his mana bar was full before escaping.

"Come on, let's get started and wait here for the traitors to come back." The traveler said after introducing his plan.

"Could it be that some people were coerced or deceived?" Zaven said with some embarrassment after listening to the traveler's plan. After all, he was directly beating his former legion comrades to death...

"You will soon see the depth of their depravity. Eliminating them is the last resort," the Traveler said meaningfully. "Also, be prepared. The malevolence from the Warp is pervasive and can destroy a person's mind and body without them even realizing it."

Later, with the help of the Paragon Battle Barge Machine Spirit, the Traveler and his followers successfully reached the storage area for the Dreadnoughts. As soon as they entered, a strange aura caught the Traveler's attention! With a serious expression, the Traveler reached out and slightly gestured. A pink tentacle suddenly shot out from behind an unoccupied Dreadnought. It seemed to be sensing something, but then, under the Traveler's psychic attack, it was transformed into a noodle.

"This Dreadnought has been contaminated. I wonder how many more are contaminated within the Imperial Legion. You can take a look," the Traveler said to Zavin behind him. Then, a group of people opened the Contemptor Dreadnought's body and discovered a heart-like growth within, beating continuously. A fleshy growth resembling blood vessels, muscle, or something else had already covered half the Dreadnought. The thought of an Ancient Warrior being placed within it filled everyone with shudders.

"It's merely contaminated. Once possessed by some dark consciousness within the Warp, the damage would be a hundred times more severe than you see," the Traveler stated solemnly. Slaanesh's corruption of the Emperor's Children is comprehensive, from Fulgrim at the top, all the way down to the lower ranks of the Legion. They also use the power of the Warp to corrupt combat machinery. Daemon engines are nothing new to the Traveler. But for ordinary Legionnaires, they're truly difficult to defend against. This method used against the Dreadnoughts is only the most basic; those enhanced sonic weapons are the most lethal.

"Is there anything we can do?" Zaven asked.

"We will defend around the reactor and engine of this battleship. I have talked to the machine spirit of this battleship, and he will shut down the engine. We will not destroy the core power compartment of this battleship unless it is absolutely necessary. We will set up a defense line with this as the center. I will deal with the dreadnoughts here and the defense system inside the battleship. You take your brothers to this location. There is a small weapons depot here, and you can get what you need." The traveler ordered.

The Traveler then set to work, bringing out the Heartshaker Scarabs. These modified creatures were specifically designed to target the Legion's various Dreadnoughts. They crawled into the Dreadnought's control and logic circuits. With a gentle beep, these electronic control systems, a fusion of AI and Necrontyr technology, quickly took control of the Dreadnought. The Traveler and Zavin continued to refine the trap. Meanwhile, on the planet's surface, Eidolon continued to wait.

--------

"Ms. Enkali, our intelligence shows that those annoying guys will follow us and look for evidence against us, but up to now, our work has been completed and we haven't even found any trace of the attackers. This is not normal." Eidolon reported to Enkali.

"Just wait quietly. Maybe, for some reason, these guys were delayed on the road. We must remain vigilant. The other side's real commander is very insidious and cunning. His plan will be beyond your and my imagination." Enkali's sweet but somewhat hoarse voice sounded in Eidolon's ears.

"As you command, ma'am." Eidolon nodded, then once again led the guards to check all aspects of the deployment. He also specifically asked the fleet in orbit if there was any new information. The fleet in orbit said everything was normal, and they had not even detected any signal of the fleet jumping.

"Hmm..." Meanwhile, aboard the cruiser Banquet, Enkali was equally restless. She knew a terrifying entity, known only as the Invisible One, was approaching. Though its power was severely suppressed, even high-ranking demons could rival it in sheer strength. But for a demon who had experienced so much, Enkali knew that strength was only one aspect of strength. A person's status, knowledge, wisdom, and other aspects could make a world of difference in actual combat effectiveness between beings of similar power. For example, Enkali couldn't gather any information about the other party through divination, but if they wanted, they could probably even figure out how many souls she had consumed today...

As for combat wisdom, countless Chaos Daemons were completely annihilated before the Invisible Ones ascended to godhood. Some even date back to when humans were still monkeys... At this point, age and combat experience are of little use to certain beings. Otherwise, why would they ascend to godhood while you, at best, remain the evil god's lackey? The thought brought even Enkali to tears.

Enkali even thought, if it really doesn't work, forget it... Her life is her own, her job is her boss's. She wasn't ashamed of her thoughts. After all, even if she sent Slaanesh's number one archdemon, Serasi, the Scourge, over, would it make any difference? Even if she humiliated the other party, wouldn't she be afraid that one day, when Slaanesh's power was no longer sufficient, the other party would recoup their losses with interest? Enkali believed that the Dark Prince understood this. After all, his specialty was to tempt Fulgrim to fall, not to challenge the enemy's true masters in a one-on-one duel.

Enkali had assessed her own combat capabilities. While she had no trouble taking down a few commonplace-looking company commanders and chapter masters, she figured she'd be better off avoiding even the great demons of the Abominations and the Hidden Ones, the beings known as the Emperor's servants, let alone the incarnations of the True God. Cutting people down wasn't her job.

"Enkali, fulfill your duty!" A voice coming from the High Heaven made the Slaanesh demon tremble all over. She quickly realized that if she offended the Traveler, she might die in the future, but if she offended Slaanesh, she would be living a life worse than death...

"As you command, my Lord," Enkali said with deep fear. Perhaps his urge to slack off was too strong, and Slaanesh had sensed it and could no longer tolerate it.

"God, I need support. I don't know what the Invisible One is going to do, but I feel that He will not act alone." Enkali argued.

"Reinforcements will arrive. Just be prepared," Slaanesh responded. Gambling and warfare have their limits. Slaanesh didn't want to confront the Gods of Order head-on before the Heresy erupted. After all, Chaos was vacillating. Who would come to its aid after he took action? Slaanesh framed this encounter as a limited test.

However, for a while, the place was strangely peaceful. Aboard Eidolon's flagship, the Paragon, the Traveler and a group of loyal Imperial Children awaited Eidolon's return, while Eidolon, on the ground, awaited the uninvited guest mentioned in the intelligence. And so, both sides waited... until one side could no longer bear the wait. The Traveler was content to see this outcome, because by then, Tarvitz had already arrived at the designated location with the evidence and had reconnected with Torgaddon!

Chapter 322 Brother Dun, there is no time to explain, please help me!

"Tavitz, what brings you here? Did Lord Fulgrim give you a day off?" Torgaddon asked in surprise, looking at the Tarvitz before him. Surprise and joy crossed his face. His fleet was merely a forerunner, with no mission to accomplish. It would be nice to catch up with an old friend. Of course, that was assuming he had the time.

"Torgadon, there is a very important matter here, which concerns the glory and future of the Third Legion. I want to meet Lord Horus immediately. I hope you can help me arrange it." Tarvitz said anxiously.

"If anything is going on, it should be Lord Fulgrim who should contact our Primarch, and again, Lord Vespasian. You're overstepping your bounds," Torgarton said after a moment's silence. Eidolon had been automatically ignored by Torgarton, and he now had a very bad impression of him. (In the background, Eidolon and Torgarton's relationship later became extremely bad, with dislike barely enough to describe it.) He only recognized Vespasian now. And Torgarton was right. While they were on good terms, it wasn't possible for a company commander to simply come and see the Primarch immediately, was it?

"It's really a very important matter, and... and our Primarch may have been deceived." Tarvitz said his words carefully, then he pulled Torgathon into a room and showed him some evidence and the token of the Emperor's servants.

"Damn it! I knew Eidolon was a villain, but I didn't expect him to be such a toxic mess! This guy should be torn into pieces and all traces of his existence completely erased from the Legion. Damn it!" Torgardon cursed. "Such a grave and blasphemous thing has happened, and Lord Fulgrim is simply not going to do anything about it?"

"Lord Fulgrim has been deceived." Tarvitz said in embarrassment.

"Blinded?" Torgaddon frowned at this, then let out a sigh. "So, you're saying, let Lord Horus and the Luna Wolves handle this?"

"That's better than letting the Dark Angels and Iron Warriors know about this and then having the Lion King and the Lord of Iron come to visit in person. The Emperor's servant has already agreed to reduce the impact of this matter. It is the bottom line that Lord Horus handles this matter personally, do you understand? It is the bottom line. Please, Torgaddon, my good brother, give me a chance to meet the Primarch. I must explain some things to him in person." Tarvitz pleaded.

"Hmmmm. Let me see the timeline," Torgaddon said, somewhat embarrassed. Horus's Grand Fleet would take time to arrive, and he had a mission to attend. He couldn't leave the fleet to take Tarvitz to Horus. And if it were someone else... even if they boarded the Vengeful Spirit, the queue would probably be endless. That's right, it needed to be queued. Unconsciously, Torgaddon felt that his Primarch was spending too much time entertaining various personnel, even to the point of compromising the Great Crusade. Although Horus said this was necessary and proper, watching the governors of various sectors, the Grand Magos of the Forge World, and the envoys of other Legions appear and disappear on the Vengeful Spirit like a revolving lantern, Torgaddon felt uneasy. So, he requested permission to take a fleet with him on the mission.

Although Tarvitz had proof of his status as an Emperor's Chamberlain, he wasn't one after all. Furthermore, allowing a Primarch to leave a meeting of dozens of Sector and Mechanicum leaders simply because a Captain possessed proof of his status was clearly a challenge. After all, this Captain wasn't here on the Emperor's orders. He lacked the Emperor's authority, so he technically still needed to wait in line, albeit slightly closer. Furthermore, the content of this matter was somewhat sensitive. At best, it was Fulgrim being deceived, but at worst, it wasn't too much of a stretch to call it dereliction of duty. Tarvitz didn't want this to spread.

Therefore, adhering to the principle of helping others to the end, Torgathon must find someone who is important and has the opportunity to meet Horus alone, and take Tarvitz to the Spirit of Vengeance. Only in this way can the news be conveyed as soon as possible.

"Ehmmmm, Sejanus has been following the Primarch all this time, so it's probably hard to contact him. Those two hotshots, Horus and Abaddon, are out on missions," Torgaddon pondered. "How about this? Talk to Loken, the Legion's Manufacturing Director and Governor of the world of Dalkan. He'll be bringing a batch of armaments to join the Legion. Lord Horus will definitely summon him personally, and he'll be in a very prominent position."

"Loken? Wasn't he rumored to have joined the Council of Four Kings decades ago? How is he now serving as Director of Armaments Manufacturing, and even serving as Governor of a planet? How could this be? Did he do something wrong to be demoted?" Tarvitz asked with some surprise. Back during the Randan War, rumors spread among the Warriors' Society that Loken's membership in the Council of Four Kings was a sure thing if he could survive the war. But now, he seems to have distanced himself from the core of the Legion. Based on Tarvitz's experience within the Imperial Legion, a general who fails to accompany his Primarch, or who leads troops independently, is essentially labeled undesirable.

"Shh..." Torgaddon gestured to silence him. "Stop the bullshit. It's common knowledge among our Legion's senior leadership that the Council of Four Kings consists of five members. Loken and his forging team supply a significant portion of the Legion's high-end equipment. He also frequently accompanies the Primarch in battle. His position in his heart is likely higher than mine. Besides Cyjanus, the only one who could argue with him is probably Abaddon."

"Master Loken is a very generous and strong man. He is an excellent commander, an excellent swordsman, and a skilled master forger. He has a very good relationship with Vespasian and Akultuna." said Torgaddon.

"I see." Tarvitz nodded slightly. Although he and Loken had met and dealt with each other, they could only be considered acquaintances, but not familiar with each other.

"That's it. I will contact him later, and then you go to his fleet, and he will take you to meet our Primarch." Torgaddon thought for a moment and said.

"Thank you for your help, brother." Tarvitz thanked him.

"Can you tell me about the Emperor's servant you met?" Togarton asked after a moment.

"Hmm, a very handsome and approachable man," Tarvitz said after a moment's thought. When discussing the Emperor's retainers within the Legion, the question of their strength is naturally overlooked. The reason is simple: none of these guys are weak! Judging from the current records, in "unrestricted combat," it seems the opponent has never lost to an ordinary Legionnaire. As Abaddon said, there may be counterfeit soldiers among the Custodians, but there appear to be none among the retainers.

The so-called "unrestricted" approach simply means free use of psionic powers and martial arts. A macho man like Abaddon, while incredibly skilled in combat, lacks psionic abilities. And while Akurduna possesses weapons that counter psionic powers, it's clear that such weapons are inappropriate for use in a duel. So, while there are a few among the Legion's elite who might have had a chance to challenge, for various reasons, either the fight didn't happen or the two sides disagreed on the rules...

"Handsome?" Torgaddon frowned, glancing at Tarvitz. After all, if the word "handsome" came from an officer of the Emperor's Children or Blood Angels, it had to be quite impressive. Torgaddon wasn't idle, asking questions. He was carrying out a directive from the Primarch: Horus wanted to know how many of these individuals were in his father's Chamber of Acolytes. Besides those who had accompanied the Primarch during the Battle of Randan, there were also those who carried out missions under concealed identities. These powerful individuals piqued Horus's curiosity, and he wondered when he could get one of them.

Now, Torgaddon was certain that the man Tarvitz was talking about was probably a new Emperor's retainer, at least one not yet enlisted in his own Legion. While the Emperor's retainers were certainly not bad looking, there didn't seem to be any who Tarvitz could describe as handsome.

"Would you mind telling me more?" asked Torgadon.

"Then let's talk about Lord Locke..."

"We'll arrange it as quickly as possible," Torgaddon promised. Half a Terran day later, Tarvitz and his warships joined Loken's fleet, and the fleet then set out to confront the Spirit of Vengeance. On the way, Loken invited Tarvitz to chat and have a few drinks.
