Noticing that Fain was staring at her, Zeli wasn't shy. Although Zeli didn't realize it yet, ever since she had absorbed Fain's blood plasma, her attitude towards him had become much more relaxed, filled with a natural trust and inexplicable fondness.

Especially Zeli, because her arc magic is directly linked to her emotions, so Zeli could feel that the electricity in her body became more active than usual when she saw Faen. However, out of trust in Faen, Zeli didn't mind, and simply put on her goggles and said, "I'll modify the base's gate, so that even if I'm not there, you can come back by yourself!"

“Okay.” Farn nodded, then beckoned a ball of water to him. “I’ll clean this place up first.”

"Hehe, this is troublesome!" Zeli chuckled. Although she loved cleanliness, she was born in a place like Zu'an. No matter how clean she was, she was still a member of the underworld. Under her parents' influence, she was an engineering and handicraft girl. Although Zeli would keep herself clean, when she got busy, some dust would inevitably accumulate in the house.

Although the secret base, which wasn't very large, wasn't dirty or messy, even the corners and crevices of the beds had faint traces of grease.

Considering that Zeli spends her days either playing cat and mouse with the Alchemist Baron or creating her own Mickey Mouse gadgets here, she simply doesn't have time to clean properly, so the current environment is truly frustrating.

After she finished speaking, Zeli didn't stop. Soon she was sticking out her round little bottom and using her fingers to shoot electric sparks and weld.

After admiring her for a moment, Faen praised his own aesthetic sense in his heart—Zeli's firm and energetic figure was perfect for tight-fitting clothes! Her pert little buttocks were raised high, swaying back and forth with her work, which was a pleasing sight to behold.

She didn't stare at it for too long, after all, she had already admired it for a while when she was washing it yesterday. Then, Faen controlled the water balloon to soak into the bedding next to her. The water balloon submerged and emerged, quickly bringing out the fine gray-black dirt. After a few rounds, the half-dry bedding and needles were as soft and white as new.

While cleaning, Faen also paid a little attention to Zeli.

Zeli didn't know much about the spiritual realm, but as an Ionian, Fane couldn't possibly be unaware of it. Add to that the blessing from Osiris…

Will they develop feelings for me after taking my blood plasma?

Thinking to himself, but not quite sure, Faen also looked at Zeli beside him.

Zeli, who had just finished a welding job using arc magic to modify the welding process, also raised her goggles and wiped the fine sweat from her brow. Noticing Faen's gaze, Zeli showed no nervousness or restraint, but instead returned a bright and energetic smile.

And along with that smile, the joy and happiness that it brought to Fane in the spiritual realm became part of the happiness that Fane needed, further confirming Fane's inner suspicions.

However, Farn didn't say it directly. Instead, he smiled and continued organizing his thoughts—having just encountered Osiris's Blessing, Farn needed time to figure out and process his situation. For example, what he had gained and what he had lost.

As Faen finished tidying up the house, Zeli's surprised voice came from behind him.

"This...you cleaned it?!"

Turning her head, Zeli's face was filled with surprise and disbelief.

The plush mat, which was originally a bit dirty due to its environment, is now as clean and tidy as if it were just bought from a store. Its fluffy texture, which can be seen with the naked eye, makes Zeli, who has been wandering alone for a long time, eager to use it.

Seeing this, Faen smiled and gestured for her to enjoy. Seeing this, Zeli also lunged forward and landed on the soft mat, rolling around with her pillow in her arms.

"Hooray! Finally, we have a clean place! Hooray!"

Feeling Zeli's joy, Faen also smiled. He then manipulated the cleaning water ball to compress the stains inside into a small, dry piece and discharge it. He then manipulated the clean water to flow onto Zeli's body, rolling and washing away the sweat and stains from her work.

The water balloon gently washed over her body, like a pair of slightly cool hands. This reminded Zeli of something, and her pretty face flushed. She then buried her head in the soft cushion and stopped talking, but when the water balloon reached her inner thighs, she couldn't help but let out two soft whimpers.

For the next two days, the two chose to live a low-key life. Apart from purchasing supplies, they spent most of their time going to the junkyard with Zeli to collect scrap metal.

Zeli's mother was a craftswoman, and Zeli grew up with her mother, where she also developed excellent mechanical skills.

Meanwhile, Fain was also constantly trying to understand what Zaun was really like in this world...

No wonder Faen wanted to learn about it specifically, because the official League of Legends management and planning of the world view is really terrible.

It's hard to imagine that a game that has been running for fourteen years still has a backstory that's only just beginning, and even major events have been handled in a rushed and unsatisfactory way.

Not to mention Zaun and Piltover. It underwent seven or eight revisions before finally settling down, only for the Twin Cities arc to become an instant hit, prompting Riot Games to immediately declare it the main universe story. This completely disregarded the fact that the Twin Cities arc completely erased the origins of Hextech Crystals, the tragedy of the Shellmen, the unknown killer 'Jin' (not Jhin), and the foreshadowing of the Piltover Shadow Government.

Although born in Ionia, Ionia's isolation was beyond imagination; as far as Fahn knew, it had been cut off from the world for over a thousand years. Now that he had come to Zaun, he at least needed to determine which version of Zaun this world was referring to—Zeli wasn't involved in the Battle of the Twin Cities.

After three days of gathering information, Fain gradually learned about the situation in this world. In general, the story takes place after the first three episodes of Battle of Two Cities 1 have concluded.

Vander has left the stage, and Hillco is the uncrowned king of Zaun. But according to Zeli, Hillco doesn't seem to be as glamorous as he claims. Many alchemist barons are not interested in Hillco's so-called rise of Zaun. Instead, they are happy to sell out Zaun's own interests for greater gains, thereby obtaining something more valuable from the trading families in the upper city. They are willing to become Piltover's black gloves and cooperate with each other.

But what exactly happened... Zeli was just a nobody in Zaun, and her resistance against the Alchemist Baron was only just beginning, so she didn't know the full story.

The reason Zeli is now unable to return home and is resolutely fighting against the Alchemist Barons is quite simple... She has long been dissatisfied with the Alchemist Barons' tyranny, especially after the Alchemist Barons claimed a few days ago that they had discovered a resource better than Hextech Crystals that could make Zaun richer and stronger, and thus built mining facilities nearby. However, the Alchemist Barons did not inform people of the risks involved in this mining.

Coupled with the harsh production environment, the vibrations generated during underground excavation soon formed a regional devastating earthquake under Zaun's unique geological conditions. The Alchemist Baron knew about this risk, but still refused to provide any safe production equipment for his own benefit, instead forcing the workers of the alchemy factory to risk their lives.

During the earthquake, Zeli used her abilities to find and rescue many people—but Zeli knew this could have been avoided, so she decided to fight them.

However, more than these things, Farn was concerned about dinner tonight.

He bought some fresh vegetables with the money he'd swindled from the factory thugs—quite expensive in Zaun, but as an Ionian, Fain simply couldn't stomach the thick green soup made from alchemically contaminated rats mixed with all sorts of mushrooms.

Too ha.

When Zeli handed him the soup bowl, Faen wanted to ask what the price was...

Could this be the fate of the Ionians?

This was the third day, and Faen couldn't take it anymore. Ignoring Zeli's mutterings about being a spendthrift who had taken some money from the factory thugs, he immediately came to sell vegetables.

Although it was forced upon them, they were still the messengers of joy of the original demon Osiris, and now they were using this ability to steal money to buy groceries... It's really speechless.

Speechless as he was, Faen hadn't eaten properly for two days in a row, so he excitedly cooked three dishes and a soup.

At first, Zeli had some objections to Faen's extravagance. She felt heartbroken watching Faen use all kinds of seasonings so lavishly. But after seeing the delicious and colorful dinner, she obediently shut her mouth.

The fresh, spicy, and flavorful stir-fried meat slices were a completely new taste experience for Zeli, who hadn't eaten much good food before. She didn't even have time to say anything, and kept eating while giving a thumbs up.

But after the meal, Zeli was also puzzled – “You cook so well, why didn’t you cook before?”

Fain glanced at the rat skull, which was as big as a human fist, not far away, and shook his head in despair. Even a skilled cook can't cook without rice. The ingredients in Zaun weren't even enough to sustain life; it was literally drinking poison to quench thirst. However, most of the Zaun workers wouldn't live to see the toxins explode before they died suddenly during processing or in a production accident.

Pollutants and toxins only affect health, while the alchemy dukes are vicious tigers that devour people without spitting out the bones... Neither of them are good, but the people of Zaun have no choice.

Seeing that En remained silent, Zeli didn't know what to say either. After all, she had grown up in this environment and was used to it. Besides, she was still a young girl, and her experience was limited; expecting her to understand was simply asking the impossible.

After finishing her meal, Zeli continued her crafting work with great enthusiasm. Her previous spark gun had broken after being soaked in water, so she planned to modify it. She also planned to strengthen the spark plugs on her electric jacket to try and store more electrical energy.

Farn, on the other hand, directly controlled the water ball to clean the pots and pans.

Fane was quite happy when he first discovered how convenient Ossilash's demonic power was, but as he got used to it, the happiness it provided reached a threshold, and he could no longer escape the emptiness of disordered pleasure.

After Zeli finished her work, Faen patted the bed, and then Zeli ran over and pounced on the bed.

She lay on the soft mat, her face filled with happiness—a clean and tidy environment can also make one feel good. Unfortunately, just like using her ability to control water to assist in daily life, this was already the third day, and Zeli's little joys could no longer satisfy Faen's needs.

The secret base was small, with only one bed, but considering that Farn mostly substituted meditation for sleep, the space was more than enough.

But today is different... While it's good that we've completed the current intelligence gathering on Zaun, the three days we've spent together have meant that the pleasure Zeli can provide is no longer enough for Faen's daily needs—his threshold has been raised, and the pleasure Zeli provides in the usual way is no longer enough for Faen.

Feeling the torment of emptiness within him, Fain knew he couldn't wait any longer. He then glanced at Zeli, who was already asleep beside him, his eyes flashing with malice... He quietly covered himself with the blanket and left the secret base under the cover of night.

Unbeknownst to Fane, after consuming his blood plasma, Zeli's senses towards him had become exceptionally acute, or rather, highly sensitive. Furthermore, Zeli's arc magic was directly related to emotions; shortly after Fane left, Zeli opened her eyes.

5. Did you leave in the middle of the night to do this?

They just... quietly left?

Looking at the empty seat beside her, where Fane should have been meditating cross-legged, Zeli felt a pang of disappointment for some reason. But quickly, a serious look appeared in her eyes—born in Zaun, though seemingly carefree, Zeli had always told herself to stay calm. Now that Fane had finally slipped up, she immediately decided to secretly follow him and see what he was up to.

If he was also working for the Alchemist Baron, and that's why he approached me...

Zeli pursed her lips, feeling utterly confused, yet unsure how to accurately express her complex emotions. Taking a deep breath, Zeli forced herself to calm down, then grabbed her flintlock pistol just in case, and quietly followed them.

Regardless, that guy Fane saved me... If he really had ulterior motives... then I should cut ties with him completely!

Zeli had intended to be more ruthless, but thinking of Faen's care during this time, as well as his approval and praise of her behavior, she couldn't help but soften her heart. She then followed Faen secretly, carrying some inexplicable grievances.

A moment later, Zeli finally learned why Farn had come out in the middle of the night...

Acts of bravery and righteousness!

Seeing Fane easily defeat the factory thugs who were beating up the labor representatives, Zeli looked bewildered. Following closely behind, Fane became even more ferocious, running to the next block and knocking out a thug in a fit of rage who was indiscriminately firing his gun with a left punch, and kicking to death an evil alchemist who was trying to harvest organs from orphans in the sewers…

After helping others for a while, and feeling the emptiness brought by the Curse of Happiness gradually dissipate, Fane finally had enough energy to notice the sneaky figure hiding in the distance.

"Uh... Zeli?" Farn asked in confusion, "Weren't you asleep?"

"Weren't you asleep too?" Zeli grumbled, tiptoed to look at the gang thugs behind Fain who were being beaten to a pulp, and then said with a hint of speechlessness, "I thought you were going to do something... Turns out you're here to do a good deed? Why did you hide this from me?"

“Aren’t you being hunted down by the Alchemist Baron? Besides, this is ultimately my own problem, and you know about what happened in Osiris.” Fane shrugged helplessly.

"Isn't that the curse of happiness? Does doing good deeds count as happiness?" Zeli asked, puzzled.

“Why doesn’t helping others count?” Farn said, stretching his muscular arms. “It can’t be that only harming innocent people counts as happiness, can it?”

"Hmm..." Upon hearing this, Zeli scratched her head, then hummed, "You obviously aren't from Zu'an... Of course, I don't dislike you!"

As she spoke, Zeli jumped up and patted Faen on the shoulder: "My equipment has just been upgraded, let's start working together tomorrow!"

He discovered that Farn had secretly come out to help those in need, and that he hadn't been invited because he was currently wanted by the Alchemist Baron...

This is like meeting the right person, someone who cares about you deeply and encourages you...

On the way back, seeing the smile that had appeared on Zeli's lips, Faen could feel that the happiness Zeli provided was worth the cost of his curse tomorrow.

After a good night's rest, the next day, Faen discussed their first target with Zeli—it sounded a bit evil, but it was absolutely righteous.

“The Alchemist Baron Winchester Spindlaw,” Zeli said angrily, pointing to the man on the front page of the Gutter Daily.

"This guy insisted on developing the so-called underground resources, talking a good game but not mentioning a single risk during the development process! Now, because of the excavation work, about one-tenth of the city in the Zuan Ditches has collapsed, and he claims it's because the workers didn't listen to him! He deserves to die! That bastard!"

Zeli grew up in the neighborhood. Because of her mother, Zeli had a good relationship with the workers and knew very well that it wasn't because the workers didn't want to produce in a safe environment, but because the alchemist barons who controlled the alchemy factories simply didn't want to pay the workers an extra fee.

"What are you planning to do?" Farn looked at Zeli with curiosity.

“Attack his factory! Teach them a lesson!” Zeli said angrily.

Upon hearing Zeli's answer, Fain stroked his chin meaningfully. Zeli, who had been secretly observing Fain's reaction, noticed the change in his expression and asked hesitantly, "Was... I wrong?"

“I can’t answer you now whether I’m right or wrong.” Facing Zeli’s gaze, Fain said frankly, “Some things and experiences in the past have taught me that this won’t solve the real problem. But at the same time, I don’t really know what Zaun is like. So I want to try it first, and then we can discuss together whether this is right or wrong.”

As he spoke, Farn patted Zeli on the shoulder and said with a smile, "Although I personally despise bullshit politics, one thing is undeniable: truth becomes clearer through debate! Anything that makes people happy without harming them must be the right thing to do!"

"Haha! That's good!" Hearing Fan's concern, Zeli laughed and said, "Anyway, we're going to make the Alchemist Baron pay! People will be happy!"

Having reached an agreement, the two began preparations. At midnight, Farn and Zelly set off under the cover of darkness, heading towards Spindlough's alchemy factory. They soon infiltrated the factory through abandoned pipes.

Farn and Zeli's goal was to sabotage the energy system of the Spindlelaw Alchemy Factory, its most valuable asset and the very heart of the facility. Once destroyed, the entire factory would cease production, a devastating blow to the alchemical barons' coffers.

"Just thinking about it makes their hearts ache so much they can't breathe!"

Zeli spoke enthusiastically as the two walked through the filthy ventilation ducts. Due to years of neglect, they were filled with all sorts of dust and grease. Fain, who didn't consider himself a germaphobe, couldn't resist using the water jets to sweep the grime away as he crawled through the filthy passage.

Through the gaps in the pipes, Faen also understood why Zeli hated the Alchemist Baron so much.

In an environment filled with alchemical fumes, alchemical slaves, dressed in rudimentary work clothes and using crude tools, carried out dangerous engineering tasks.

Aside from a few essentials, the alchemist barons clearly wouldn't provide any valuable tools to make their work safer. Even the most basic breathing apparatus worn by these workers varied in style, though not uniform, they were all equally crude. Each breath required immense effort to filter out even a tiny bit of clean air, and the jarring noise, like a broken bellows, made one question whether the filtered air was even up to standard.

However, this is already quite good; at least it's much safer than those who cover their mouths and noses with wet towels.

"I told you, you're too small to come in and do any work."

A voice came from not far away, and the impatience in the words caught the attention of Fan and Zeli.

He was a man far stronger than the average alchemist, his face a mass of flesh, one arm modified into a thick, enhanced prosthetic. A cigarette dangled from his lips, his face filled with arrogance and disdain as he stared at the group before him.

"I hired you out of pity, but who knew you'd turn into such a coward. Look at your skinny arms and legs! Hurry up and sign this contract! Then we'll cut off those arms and replace them with a prosthetic body!"

"I...I have no money."

The man, who looked to be around thirty years old, said timidly, "I can't afford these prosthetic bodies either..."

"Then borrow the money, you idiot!" The foreman spat viciously at the man and slammed a contract in front of him.

"Baron Spindlelaw already knew you poor wretches were broke! I'm too lazy to waste words with you, I'll just take out this loan agreement and work to pay it off after I get my new cybernetic body!"

With his exceptional eyesight, Farn could clearly see just how appalling the contract terms were. Even with his meager wages, at least 70% of his monthly salary would have to be handed over to the Alchemist Baron to repay the loan for his alchemical prosthetic body. Other working hours and wear and tear on factory machinery caused by production were separate considerations.

"what happened?"

Noticing the disgust in Fain's eyes, Zeli turned around and asked softly.

Without hiding anything, Fain quietly recited some of the terms mentioned above.

Although she already knew the Alchemist Baron was a ruthless man, Zeli had never truly experienced what it was like to be a factory worker in Zaun. Upon hearing the contract's requirements, disbelief immediately flashed across her face, followed by furious clenched teeth as she exclaimed, "These damned guys… they're Zaun workers too, why are they helping the Alchemist Baron now… ugh!"

Zeli possessed strong magical talent, but had not received systematic training. As she became emotionally agitated, sparks of electricity crackled in her hair. A creak came from the already dilapidated ventilation duct, the rusted iron edges cracking, the jarring sound quickly attracting the attention of the foreman below.

Upon seeing Zeli's striking bright green braids, the foreman's face immediately lit up with excitement and murderous intent.

"Haha! It's Electric Rat! Catch him! The Baron will surely reward us handsomely!"

Seeing Zeli fall, Fain landed on the ground and caught the weightless girl. The warmth of his embrace quickly calmed the panicked Zeli. She regained her composure and looked around. Seeing the thugs who had rushed over after hearing the noise and hearing the orders, Zeli's face paled. She then said with some self-reproach, "I'm sorry...it's all my fault for not controlling myself..."

"fine."

Upon hearing Zeli's words, Faen shook his head, his eyes showing little blame. Instead, when he looked at the thugs who had surrounded him, his gaze was filled with indifference and disgust.

"It's not your fault, and even without this incident, I was about to lose my temper."
