When the plane landed at London Heathrow Airport, snow was falling outside the window.
Qi looked at the vast expanse of whiteness outside the window and was stunned.
"Little cat, do you like watching snow?" Xi looked at Qi's reaction and smiled.
Qi nodded. When she was in the United States, whenever it snowed, she would stay quietly in the house, staring at the white snow outside the window in a daze.
Xi took Qi's hand, Qi was a little surprised by the naturalness.
"Is it different from what you remember?" After passing through the customs, Qi asked Xi in a low voice.
"It seems to be okay now, but I think it will be different when I get out of the airport." Xi said with a smile.
"When was the last time you were here?"
"The summer vacation of senior year has been more than ten years."
"Will you be nervous?" Xi held Qi's hand coldly.
"A little bit," Xi admitted.
"I will accompany you." Qi squeezed Xi's hand tightly.
They took their luggage and followed the crowd towards the exit.
Xi stopped in front of the automatic door, took a deep breath, and continued walking.
"Yuxi! Here!" As soon as they stepped into the hall, they saw Kate waving to them from a distance.
"It's Kate." Xi said, walking over with her luggage in one hand and Qi in the other.
"Hi, I'm Kate." Kate held out her hand towards Qi.
"Luo Kaiqi." Qi shook his hand.
"Let's go, Soren is waiting outside." Kate took Xi's luggage and led them to the car.
As soon as she stepped out of the airport gate, Xi was hugged firmly by a handsome man.
"My baby sister!" The other party kissed Xi's cheek forcefully despite the frightened and uncomfortable look on Xi's face.
"Second Brother, that's enough." Xi was a little embarrassed.
"Ten years! The second brother finally let you go home." Soren said happily.
"Yeah." Facing the enthusiastic brother, Xi's reaction was cold.
"Hi, I'm Yuxi's second brother, Xia Yulun, just call me Soren." Soren said.
"Luo Kaiqi." Qi introduced himself briefly.
"Your temperament is very similar to Yu Xi's. Get in the car, everyone is waiting for us." Soren helped them put their luggage into the rear compartment.
"Going to Woking?" Xi asked Kate who was sitting in the front seat.
"Well, we are all celebrating the New Year there." Kate turned her head and said with a smile.
"Kaiqi, are you Yu Xi's colleague?" Soren slowly drove the car away from the airport.
"Sister." Qi answered briefly.
"Yuxi, how have you been these ten years?" Kate asked.
"With the assets you left behind, I'm fine, thank you." After all, what Soren did before leaving Taiwan allowed Xi to live without any worries.
"It's actually very sad when a brother can only help his sister in this way," Soren said.
"Second brother, at that time this was already all you could do, we all knew that." Xi said looking out the window.
"Yu Xi, do you hate us?" Soren asked again.
"I'm not qualified. Since I chose this path, I have to bear the consequences of this kind of life. It's not that my father didn't give me the opportunity to choose... Moreover, at that time, you didn't really abandon me." Xi speaks in a "social" tone as if she were in a hospital, as if "family" to her is the same as the colleagues, patients, and family members she meets in the hospital.
Qi can feel Xi's estrangement from her family.
"Because it's snowing, there's a bit of a traffic jam. You can sleep first." The car moved very slowly.
Xi nodded, leaned sideways on Qi's body, and fell asleep holding Qi's hand.
Qi held Xi's hand and looked out the window. Before Xi was "kicked out of the house", what was it like?Is it because of her family that Xi decided to put away all her feelings and enthusiasm?Or are there other reasons? Is Xi happy?
"Yu Xi?" After an unknown amount of time, Qi heard Kate call Xi.
"She's asleep." Qi responded, looking at the sleeping Xi.
"Aren't you tired in Taiwan?"
"I'm fine. Xi just finished her shift before getting on the plane, and she didn't seem to sleep well on the plane."
"I'm sure you can't sleep well on the plane...Yu Xi is also a hard sleeper." Soren interjected.
"Oh, maybe she's eavesdropping on us right now!" Kate joked.
"No, she really fell asleep." Feeling Xi's steady breathing, Qi said.
"You know her well, how long have you been together?" Soren asked, automatically defining their relationship.
"It's better to ask Xi about this." Qi handed over the decision to Xi.
"Yu Xi has changed a lot in these years." Soren's words were filled with distress.
"Haven't you all returned to Taiwan to see her?" Qi asked the first question.
"Yes, whenever Kate returns to Taiwan to visit relatives, we will meet Yuxi. The last time we met was two years ago."
Maybe Xi met Soren and the others when she was on duty.Except for two people who are on duty, they are almost together at other times and work from home.
"Thinking of Yuxi's change, I feel like a negligent older brother who can't protect my sister." Soren blamed himself in his words.
Qi suddenly felt distressed by Soren's self-blame.
But it is not difficult to understand that if I am in the role of Soren, I must feel this way too.
"Thank you for taking care of her, without you, she would not come back." Kate said.
Qi didn't say much or ask any more questions, although she really wanted to know more about Xi, but that shouldn't be told to her by others, she wanted to listen to Xi herself.
"You are very similar to Yu Xi, you are both cool and don't like to talk." Soren seemed to be looking for a topic.
"It's okay." Qi replied politely.
"You should be pursued by many people, right?" Even Kate joined the topic.
"Maybe." Qi herself didn't know if anyone was chasing her, just like Xi, her eyes would not scan the people around her, she only looked at one person, Xi.
"Here," Soren pointed out the window when they passed a park, "When Yuxi was young, she went back to England on vacation, and her grandfather would take her here for a walk. In the summer, there was an ice cream vendor in the park, Yuxi I really like chocolate flavors."
Qi suddenly became a little jealous of Soren, who was involved in Xi's past, and she also wanted to see Xi in the past.
"Aren't you there yet?" After an unknown amount of time, Xi slowly sat up.
"Here we go," Soren said.
"Are you tired?" Xi looked at Qi and asked.
"It's okay." Qi smiled slightly, seeing Qi's smile, Xi also smiled.
Not long after, the car drove into the garden that Qi had only seen in movies.
"This is a rich family in England. This is a holiday villa." Xi whispered in Qi's ear as if seeing the surprise under Qi's calm appearance.
Soren parked the car at the door, and immediately two people came out to open the door and carry the luggage.
Qi was a little uncomfortable, looking at Xi beside her, as if she was familiar with everything here, Xi calmly got out of the car, walked around to her, and held her hand as well, she could feel that this was Xi's world, Xi originally belonged here.
Entering the entrance, Qi opened his eyes again, "It's like a movie scene." She said in Xi's ear.
Xi couldn't help laughing, "Give me the coat." After Xi handed her coat to the butler, she also handed Qi's coat to the butler.
"Xia Yuxi, Dawn Sheffield." A majestic male voice came, it was Xi's father, Xia Lei.
They looked up at the same time, and on the steps, a thin but still standing man appeared in front of them.
"Father." Xi said respectfully, and Qi could feel Xi trembling slightly.
After hesitating for a few seconds, Xi walked forward, stepped up the steps step by step, and stood in front of the man.
The others came out of the living room and looked at them with bated breath.
Suddenly, Xia Lei's hand was raised, and Qi saw Xi Se shrink back, but the broad palm was only lightly placed on Xi's shoulder.
"You've grown up." After Xia Lei finished speaking, he turned and entered the living room.
"Go in." Qi didn't know when Soren stood behind him.
"Yu Xi!" A gray-haired woman stepped forward and hugged Xi.
"Mom, I'm back." Xi leaned on her shoulder and said.
"Come into the living room, it's cold here." Soren led Qi to Xi's side.
"A friend who came with you?"
"Well, Mom, this is Kaiqi, Luo Kaiqi; Qi, my mother." Xi introduced among them.
"Kaiqi, just call me auntie, thank you for bringing Yuxi back." Auntie held Qi's hand vigorously, Qi was a little embarrassed, but she was relieved when she saw Xi laughing aside.
"Auntie." Qi said with a smile.
Then he went into the living room with Xi.
It took a lot of time for the self-introduction of the family members, and Qi could see that Xi was tired of such social interaction, even if it was the family members.
"Your luggage can be put in Yuxi's room, right?" The person who spoke was Xi's eldest brother, Xia Yuxin, Vince.
"Well, thank you brother." Xi replied.
After dinner, the two of them yawned frequently because of the jet lag, although they tried their best to hold on.
"I think they are both tired, let them go back to rest first." It was Kate who was careful again and found out their condition first.
"Well, jet lag." Xi nodded and yawned again.
"You guys go to bed first, and we'll go see Grandpa tomorrow when Nathaniel and Sophia come," Vince said.
Xi looked at Xia Lei who was sitting next to Vince, and he nodded slightly.
"Then let's go upstairs first." Xi stood up and left the living room with Qi one after the other.
"Miss, I'll take you up." The old butler Ken was waiting for them at the stairs.
"Ken, sorry for your trouble."
"Where is it, miss, in fact, everyone has missed you all these years. The old man also missed you when he was dying!" Ken said as he walked.
Xi just listened quietly, without replying.
"Oh, but the old man is too stubborn, even the old man refused to get you back." Ken continued.
"When Grandpa left, were you okay?"
"Fortunately, it passed peacefully in my sleep. It was the same when the old lady left the next year. The two elderly people didn't have much pain... When we arrived, we helped the lady tidy up. Let's go to bed early!" Ken cleaned up the room for them. The door opens, the room is tidy, everything is meticulously in its place.
"Thank you." The considerate butler closed the rooms for them after they entered the room before leaving.
"Little cat, I'm so tired." After Ken left, Qi stepped forward to lock the door, and Xi fell directly on the bed.
"Thank you, take a shower and sleep." Qi sat next to Xi.
"I'm going to visit the grave tomorrow..." Xi stared at the ceiling and said.
"Did no one tell you when your grandparents passed away?" Qi asked.
"Yes, Kate told me, but I didn't ask much... I don't think I have the right to ask more." Sadness climbed into Xi's eyes.
"Xi, you have always been their family, no matter how strongly and firmly they deny it, the blood relationship is unbroken... Besides, they want you to come back, don't treat yourself as an outsider anymore... There is a family, I am very happy." Qi said while lying on the bed, holding Xi's hand.
"Perhaps, the problem lies with me. I still don't feel that I am qualified to be a part of this family. I let them down, and... I can't prove to them after all that my persistence and choice are right... ..." Xi looked at the ceiling with empty eyes.
"What do you mean?" Qi was confused by Xi's words.
"It's nothing... just take a bath and sleep with me." Xi got up and walked into the bathroom.
"Your housekeeper is too professional." Qi followed up the bathroom and said when he saw the bathtub filled with hot water.
"Little cat, you have been in a state of surprise today." Xi looked at Qi and didn't know how many times he showed a surprised expression.
"Ordinary people know it... For ordinary people like me, if I didn't know you, I probably wouldn't have seen such a life in my life." Qi said innocently.
"Then should I say, welcome to the world of the rich? I don't want to at all, I am much more comfortable in Taiwan." Xi said as she stepped into the bathtub.
"Well, I feel very reserved here, even the housekeeper is polite."
"Ken's family has always been the housekeeper of our family. It seems to have been from his grandfather. His son James is now taking care of Nathaniel and Sophia, my niece and niece."
"It's also the one I'll see tomorrow... a child?"
"Haha! They are not young anymore. I am fifteen years younger than my elder brother, and Nathaniel is fifteen years younger than me. Sophia is two years younger than Nathaniel..." Xi said while lying on the edge of the bathtub.
"A young adult." Kei followed into the bathtub.
"They're all pretty." Xi said with a smile, with pride in her words.
"A jealous half-breed, just like you." Qi said, lying on Xi's back.
"What's there to be jealous about? You look good too." Xi turned her head and looked at Qi and said.
Qi smiled and kissed Xi's lips.
"Thank you for coming back with me." Xi bit Qi's lip and said.
"It's my honor. My honor." Qi said, starting from behind Xi with restless hands, walking back and forth on the seductive body.
"Hmm..." Xi closed her eyes, she still couldn't resist Qi's touch, and couldn't help but utter a sexy moan.
No one can remember how they got back to bed. The memory in their minds restarted at the moment when they embraced naked. On the soft big bed, their white and flawless bodies gradually became rosy under each other's teasing. It turned into a tantalizing panting, and the gentle and slow rhythm at the beginning gradually became more intense under the catalysis of desire.
The small screams came into the ears clearly, like a spell of charm, lingering in the mind to let reason exit; people who are overwhelmed by pleasure can only swing their bodies to welcome the baptism of lust.
At the peak of lust, the world stops, time stands still, and they feel each other's passionate breath, and there is nothing more enamored than this.
When the world turned back on again, Qi leaned on Xi's back and kissed her ear.
"Xi used to come to England for vacation, what did she do?" Qi asked.
"Walking around London, we don't usually live here, we only come here when everyone is on vacation or during festivals." Xi said while recalling.
"Oh, I didn't know the British celebrate Chinese New Year too."
"British people don't celebrate Chinese New Year, but our family celebrates Chinese New Year. It seems to be a rule that started from grandpa. After grandma married grandpa, she followed grandpa back to England. During Chinese New Year, grandpa would accompany grandma back to Taiwan to visit relatives as much as possible. Until the death of great-grandfather and grandmother, grandpa He decided to "Celebrate the New Year" with his grandma in England. This is a way he thinks he can make grandma feel less homesick, so it has become a tradition in our family. Moreover, in a family business, the boss can take a holiday according to his mood... two It’s enough for the child to take a few days off, this is a rich family...” Xi said, revealing a little disapproval in his words.
"The rich people's world is really different from mine." Qi rolled down from Xi's back and looked at the gorgeous ceiling.
Suddenly a thought appeared in my mind, is it because Xi always knew that we are people from different worlds, so...
"Little cat, don't think about it." As if sensing something, Xi supported her head with her hands and looked sideways at Qi.
"What?" Qi was startled by Xi's sudden words.
"This is indeed the world of the rich, but it's not my world, nor my home." Xi said, looking into Qi's eyes.
"But your relatives are here..." Qi still couldn't understand Xi's logic.
"It is your loved ones who will make you constantly forgive, but home is where you feel at ease, relaxed, and at ease. The two do not conflict, and there is intersection or overlap between them, which is the happiest situation. And happiness , can’t be obtained by force. My world, my home is in Taiwan, and I have a free cat.” Xi said, gently stroking Qi’s face.
"I think," Qi smiled, "this is probably one of the most romantic words you have ever said."
Xi shrugged, lay back beside Qi, and held Qi's hand.
"Good night, kitty." Xi fell asleep with her head on Qi's shoulder.
The two of them were still jet-lagged the next day, so they woke up early in the morning.
Qi opened his eyes and saw the silhouette of Xi sitting beside her reading a book.
"It's been a long time since you woke up?" Qi asked.
"A little bit, but everyone should still be awake." Xi said.
Qi stared at Xi's side face. She liked Xi's relaxed and lazy demeanor during the holidays, which was different from the strict and sharp one who was busy in the hospital on weekdays.
"Little cat, what are you looking at?" Xi felt Qi's gaze on her, put down the book and turned to ask her.
"Did you notice that you were very relaxed and gentle during your vacation?" Qi was still under the covers.
Xi couldn't help laughing.
"You," Xi patted Qi's head like a kitten, "would you like to go out with me?"
"it is good."
The two went downstairs after washing up, and saw James opening the door and coming in.
"Miss Yuxi, you are back." James said respectfully when he saw Xi.
"James, long time no see, Nathan and Sophia are not with you?" Xi asked.
"Young master and the others said they need to go shopping before returning."
Xi nodded, indicating that he understood.
"Are you Miss Kaiqi? My father mentioned you to me yesterday. Welcome to England." Like Ken, James is a very typical British gentleman.
"Thank you." Qi was still uncomfortable.
"Miss is going out?" James asked, looking at Xi who was putting on her coat.
"Well, let's go for a walk. It's still early anyway, so breakfast time is still the same?" Xi asked while handing her coat to Qi.
"Yes, eight o'clock." James opened the door for them.
"Okay, I see." Xi and Qi walked out of the room one after another, and James closed the door.
It didn't snow early this morning, but the night fog hadn't all cleared yet. After walking for a while, Xi took Qi's hand and put it in his coat pocket.
"Not used to it yet?" Xi asked Qi.
"It's too hard for me to get used to it in less than 24 hours." Qi complained slightly.
"Then you'd better get used to it quickly, or you will suffer when you come back in the future." Xi said with a smile, and Qi looked at Xi blankly.
"What do you mean?" Qi was not sure what he had heard, Xi said "come back again", does it mean that he will bring her back again in the future?
Xi just walked forward with a smile, didn't say anything more, but held Qi even tighter.
Qi knew that although Xi still didn't say anything, that sentence had already said everything.
They walked along the stone-paved path next to the house, which Xi was still familiar with.
"Your house is too big..." Qi said, looking at the garden in front of him, which still had some residual snow.
"For rich people, just get used to it." Xi shrugged, and then walked into a greenhouse.
"Here, grandpa's favorite orchid, he and grandma used to plant flowers here." The temperature of the greenhouse is clearly controlled precisely, and they felt a burst of warmth as soon as they entered.
"Your grandpa, I love your grandma very much!" Qi looked at the pots of flowers in front of him, and thought of what Xi said last night that their family started the Chinese New Year.
"Well, they love each other very much." Xi nodded.
Xi took Qi to look at each pot of flowers carefully in the greenhouse, and told Qi what she knew about orchids like a few treasures.
"How do you know so many things?" Qi asked.
"When I was a child, I came to the UK for holidays. I always stayed here with my grandparents. I stayed here all morning and afternoon. They told me that." Xi stretched out her hand, holding a leaf carefully and looking at it.
"Ten years ago, they were also very sad." After Qi finished speaking, he was also taken aback. He didn't expect that he would say that.
Xi's movements stopped, "I never doubted this, it's just... When I was young, I always thought that I would grow up and have the ability to make the right decision without regret, but when I grew up, I found that I always overestimated No one can say that the decision they made must be right and they will never regret it, those convictions are just the illusion of being overwhelmed by self-confidence at the moment, and only time will prove everything.” Xi said thoughtfully , Qi felt the sadness and a little despair in those words.
"Xi," Qi stepped forward and hugged Xi, Xi gently leaned on her shoulder, "No matter what happened to you, or what wrong decision you made, I am grateful for all of them, because those past, let me Meeting you is the happiest thing I've ever done." Qi whispered in Xi's ear.
Xi nodded slightly.
"So Xi, I don't know what makes you despair, but I want to tell you..."
"Shhh," Xi didn't let Qi finish speaking, her index finger was lightly pressed against Qi's lips, "Don't say anything, it's fine." Xi looked at Qi with pleading eyes.
Qi took Xi's hand and kissed it gently.
"That's good." Xi said again, and then kissed Qi's lips.
Xi's kiss is gentle and non-aggressive, but it can easily capture Qi's reason, so she can only respond obediently.
After a kiss, they hugged without saying a word, did nothing, didn't think about anything, just quietly felt each other's existence.
After an unknown amount of time, Xi raised her head, "It's dawn." She said looking at the sunlight outside the window.
"Today is fine weather." Qi also looked out the window together.
"Well, it's almost time to go back and have breakfast." Xi looked at his watch.
The two walked towards the big house hand in hand.
When they got home and stepped into the restaurant, everyone was already seated and waiting for them.
"Sorry, I'm late." Xi said, and Qi pulled a chair and sat down.
"It's okay, Nathaniel and Sophia are not here yet," Vince said.
"These two children are late again." It was Angelina, Xi's sister-in-law who spoke.
"Ok, we're here!" is the voice of a girl, Sophia.
"Yea...and late again." Boy, Nathaniel.
"That's because..." followed by a series of bickering between the two, with voices approaching from far away.
"Okay." It was Xia Lei who spoke.
"Grandpa." The two put away their smiling faces in an instant and greeted respectfully.
"Okay, sit down and see who's back." Vince said, motioning them to look at Xi.
"Aunt Yu Xi!" Sophia called out first, and happily ran to sit down opposite Xi.
"Auntie, long time no see." Nathaniel sat next to his sister.
"You've all grown up," Xi said with a smile.
"Ken, it's time for dinner." Soren turned to Ken and said, Ken nodded, and the table was filled with food in no time.
During the dinner, the two children didn't care about their tutoring and manners, and chattered endlessly to Xi. Xi just listened to them with a smile from the beginning to the end, and occasionally interrupted to ask a few words.
"When did the two of you talk so much? From the beginning of the meal to now, you can't stop talking. My aunt also has to eat, and you keep talking, how can I keep eating?" Vince finally couldn't take it anymore.
"Brother, it's okay." Xi hurried out to smooth things over.
"They are not children anymore, Yuxi, don't spoil them like before." Vince said again.
"Dad, we haven't seen Auntie in over ten years! Do you know how long that was?" Sophia complained.
"Okay, let's finish the meal first, and we'll talk later, so your dad won't get really angry." Xi said looking at Vince's not-so-good-looking face.
The restaurant finally quieted down, and everyone's ears were also quiet for a while.
Qi was the first to eat.
"Are you full?" Xi noticed Qi put down the tableware.
Qi nodded.
"Then wait for me."
"No rush, take your time." Qi said.
"Nathan, Sophy, Aunt Kaiqi." Soren noticed that when Xi was talking to Qi, the two children were staring at them intently.
"Aunt Kaiqi." Although they were both "adults" in the age of eighteen or twenty, they still obediently followed their uncle's orders.
Qi saw the authority in the "family".
No one has an opinion; no one asks much or says much.Including Xi.
Qi tried hard not to show his surprise, but Xi still noticed it.
"Kaiqi is my school girl, and she is also a doctor now." Xi said to the other side with eyes full of "sizing".
"Sophy, if you have any questions, you can ask her. She is also very good." From the information just updated by the two children, Qi also knows the two siblings. The elder brother studies business and plans to inherit the family business; the younger sister studies medicine, just like them.
"Is there anyone better than aunt?" Sophia asked provocatively.
"Yes." Xi replied with pride.
"Really?" Sophia seemed incredulous.
"Tell them where you got your doctorate." Xi pushed Tuiqi's arm.
Qi obediently mentioned her "prestigious school" in the United States. Although she was unwilling, since Xi said it, she would do it.
Then she saw the whole table looking at her with surprise and a little bit of disbelief in their eyes.
Except Xi, Xi's smile says "I'm proud of you".
"That's amazing." Sophia's attitude changed 180 degrees in an instant.
So realistic.Qi thought in his heart.Due to Xi's face, she maintained her demeanor and chatted with the two of them answering every question.
"Okay, get ready to go." Xia Lei commanded majesticly.
Everyone stood up and started to move towards the door.
"Let's go, we're going to sweep the grave." Xi said in Qi's ear.
They followed everyone to the door and got into Soren's car.
