Chapter 47 Arrival
Styx Galaxy - Death Song Academy
Holy Keisha's enormous throne, shaped like a cross-shaped sword, hovered silently above Deathsong Academy, exuding a suffocating sense of oppression. She leaned lazily against the throne, her long legs crossed, her gaze calmly looking down at the humble and unassuming scholar in blue robes, "Death God Karl."
Karl looked up at the high-ranking guardian angels in the sky, clad in silver armor and with outstretched wings, and at the King of Gods seated on his throne. His voice was calm, without the slightest hint of emotion:
"Queen Keisha, as you know, the only force I can call an 'army' is the Taotie Legion. And they just suffered a crushing defeat on Earth." He shrugged, adopting an extremely humble posture. "How could I, in such a state, dare to oppose the great angelic civilization? So, please believe me, Morgana... she is on Earth right now. She is all alone, and can only rely on a group of Earth children to barely keep her company."
As Keisha listened to his account, a subtle, disdainful smile played at the corners of her lips. She didn't directly address the topic of Morgana, but instead steered the conversation to another, more fundamental disagreement:
"You're still insisting on researching your so-called... 'Void Theory'?" Her tone was full of disdain for the theory.
"I believe that conducting academic research in the distant Styx Galaxy does not violate the angels'...just order." Karl's voice remained calm, yet carried an unwavering conviction.
"To this day, that's still not the case." Keisha's voice suddenly turned cold, carrying a clear warning. "However, lying to me will have a different consequence."
She slightly turned her head and gave an order to a young, resolute-faced guardian angel beside her:
"Zhixin, stay."
Her gaze returned to Karl, her words like a final judgment:
"If we feel cheated... then you represent justice and burn them."
In the angel's encrypted communication channel, Angel Yan's voice rang out with a hint of concern: "Your Majesty, Zhixin is still too young... Will she be able to control Karl?"
Keisha's answer was without hesitation, filled with absolute trust in her civilization and warriors: "If even the right-wing guards of Holy Keisha cannot control a student from an academy..." Her voice, clear through the channel, reached the ears of every angel, carrying an undeniable power, "then our angelic legion is in grave danger."
She said no more, and gently waved her hand.
"Let's go."
The enormous angelic throne changed direction and, surrounded by a host of high-ranking guardian angels, transformed into streaks of light, departing the Styx Galaxy with its sights set on Earth.
Meanwhile, the young right-wing guard, Zhixin, remained behind alone. Holding her flaming sword, she stared intently at Karl below, fulfilling the seemingly simple yet dangerous surveillance mission entrusted to her by the Queen.
In Lin Yu's home, the atmosphere remained calm, seemingly out of place with the turmoil outside. He walked to the sofa and looked at He Xi, who was staring intently at the television screen, which was playing a mindless Earth entertainment program.
"Pipi Xi," Lin Yu began, using the nickname he'd given the Celestial King, "your good sister, Keisha, is almost here." His gaze seemed to pierce through the rooftops, looking towards the endless, distant starry sky. "Aren't you going to greet her?"
He Xi didn't even take her eyes off the TV; she just waved her hand casually, her tone as languid as if she were discussing tonight's dishes:
"No need. She has her own plans and her own path to follow." Her attitude was indifferent to the point of being cold, as if the King of Gods who was leading his angel legion to a potential trap was just a stranger.
Upon hearing this, Lin Yu clicked his tongue lightly, uttering a cryptic "tsk." He turned around, his tone becoming somewhat deep, carrying an unspeakable premonition:
"What if... something 'accident' happens to Keisha this time, you angels...?"
He didn't finish his sentence, but the meaning was clear: the foundation of the angelic civilization might be shaken.
This time, He Xi finally reacted differently. She slowly turned her head, her azure eyes, which contained the wisdom of tens of thousands of years, looking at Lin Yu. There was no panic, no rebuttal, only a calm that had seen through the changes of the world, and even a hint of determination.
"You old hag..." she repeated Keisha's address to each other, her voice soft yet carrying immense weight, "You've been meddling too much."
Her gaze passed over Lin Yu, as if looking towards the distant future of the Angelic Civilization:
"A civilization needs new changes; it can't always rely on... us old folks."
Lin Yu fell silent, not continuing the topic. He turned back, his gaze returning to the sky outside the window. His dark eyes became unusually deep, as if piercing through the atmosphere, crossing planetary orbits, and clearly "seeing" the Taotie fleet waiting in ambush outside the solar system, and also "seeing" the Angel Throne, which was tearing through the starry sky, carrying justice and destruction, and rapidly heading towards this star field.
A storm is approaching. And many people at the eye of the storm seem to have made their own preparations, or... are prepared.
