Chapter 35 Instructor Cade
(Everyone, the previous parts have been revised. I added 2000 words to Chapter 5. If you've been following along, you can take a look.)
"Caesar, go and call Wang Ling, and also gather a few of the more capable brothers in the gang to meet in that small room in the processing workshop. I'll be there in a bit."
Rosen gave the order to Caesar.
Although Caesar had a moment of doubt, he regarded the Father's instructions as divine pronouncements. He nodded heavily, turned around, and strode out of the community.
At this moment, Wang Ling was training with "God's Iron Guard" in an abandoned open space outside.
This squad was not just ordinary gangster thugs to the Iron Claw Gang; they were more like professional soldiers under the command of the Holy Father.
They do not engage in recycling or business operations; every second of their time is spent in endless military training.
"Alright, you can all get back to your posts now." Rosen turned around and waved to the gang members who remained in place.
"Yes, Father." The crowd responded in unison, their eyes still filled with fervor as they looked at Rosen.
Rosen watched them return to their posts, his thoughts unaffected by Buck's earlier provocation.
To put it bluntly, in his eyes, the Blind Man's Gang, a third-rate gang composed of dozens of drug addicts and thugs, was nothing more than a bunch of clowns.
If a conflict were to break out, these guys who only know how to bully the weak and fear the strong would have no chance of defeating those Iron Claw gang lunatics who are determined to "martyr themselves for the Lord".
He returned to his office, locked the door, and dialed an encrypted number.
The phone rang for a long time before being answered, and a slightly weary male voice came through: "Hey, Rosen, how's the situation?"
It was Cade.
A few days ago, because of the harassment from the Blind Gang, Rosen told him to go to a cabin in the suburbs to lay low for a while. Rosen would send him a message when things calmed down and he could come over.
"Quite a few days have passed, and you seem to be in a good mood."
Hearing the somewhat excited voice on the other end, Rosen's lips twitched slightly.
"Hahaha, awesome, so awesome!" Cade on the other end of the phone seemed to be sitting by a simple fireplace, the firelight illuminating his faded old combat uniform.
He was slowly tearing into a sizzling, oily wolf leg, talking casually.
"When I first arrived here, I found three coyotes gnawing on the corpse of an unfortunate man. When they saw me, the beasts even tried to make me their dinner, so I just killed them."
"Wolves?" Rosen was taken aback when he heard the news.
In his previous life, he knew this thing as a beast that would spend its life in jail, and you had to buy a ticket to the zoo to see it.
But upon closer inspection, Rosen quickly realized that this wasn't a protected gray wolf in the American wilderness, but the infamous coyote.
They have eaten many people and even actively attack humans, making them typical harmful animals. Their numbers have grown to the point of becoming a threat, and the government even offers rewards for efforts to clear out coyotes.
"How many did you kill?" Rosen asked casually.
"I don't know, maybe a dozen or so," Cade mumbled indistinctly.
"Anyway, this area is quiet now. There should be very few wolves left, just panting."
"You know what, these animals are actually quite valuable. Their carcasses can fetch $300. Anyway, I've pretty much cleared out all the coyotes in this area."
"Alright, forget about those beasts for now," Rosen said seriously. "I'll send you my location. Come over here right now; it's important."
"Can."
---
Half an hour later, the atmosphere in the small room of the processing workshop was oppressive and solemn.
Wang Ling, two of God's Iron Guards, Caesar, and Cade, who had just returned from the suburbs and still carried a faint smell of smoke.
Rosen pointed to Cade beside him and introduced him to everyone: "This is my uncle, you can call him Cade. Before retiring, he was a member of Delta Force."
They are both from Delta Force, but one might be in real life and the other in a game.
"delta?!"
Upon hearing Cade's identity, everyone in the room changed color.
Even in the gang-ridden Ronnie neighborhood, the name Delta Force is legendary; it is America's most elite killing squad.
Seeing everyone's reaction, Rosen smiled and then said, "So, starting today, I will arrange for him to be your daily military training instructor."
As soon as he finished speaking, the other two Iron Guards showed a hint of hesitation.
They instinctively looked at Wang Ling, because over the years, the Iron Guard had been personally led and trained by Wang Ling. Without any prior preparation, the sudden appointment of an instructor was tantamount to stripping Wang Ling of his military power.
But they dared not refute it, for the one who spoke was the Holy Father who had performed miracles and was supreme.
The Father is the embodiment of God; those who disobey God's commands will have their souls wail eternally in hell.
Wang Ling did not resist at all, but pursed his lips and replied in a low voice, "Yes, Holy Father."
Rosen saw all of this.
He didn't want his subordinates to think he was conducting an internal purge. After all, there were only a handful of powerful figures, and he didn't need to alienate his subordinates. So he quickly offered his explanation:
"Wang Ling, I have reviewed your training and teaching methods. The main focus of the training is on infiltration and assassination, which is good, but not enough."
Rosen walked slowly to the long table, his eyes sharpening:
"However, you still lack a bit of discipline in some specific special operations coordination and physical training for frontal assaults."
The Iron Guardians are God's protectors and also the guardians of our Iron Claw Gang.
Your current training is training assassins, not guardians.
When he mentioned the word "assassin," Rosen glanced at Wang Ling, seemingly unintentionally.
Wang Ling met Rosen's meaningful gaze, a look that seemed to pierce through his current disguise, which sent a shiver down his spine and made him lower his head even further.
However, Rosen only mentioned it briefly before continuing:
"So my idea is this: from Monday to Friday, Cade will teach you daily military training and tactical coordination."
From Saturday to Sunday, Wang Ling will teach you reconnaissance and assassination techniques.
You must master both of these skills.
At this point, Rosen turned to look at Cade, a playful smile playing on his lips: "Uncle Cade, you have to attend Wang Ling's class too."
"Huh? I have to learn those low-level tricks too?" Cade wanted to refuse, as a veteran of Delta Force, he was very confident in his skills.
But seeing Rosen's unyielding gaze, he could only purse his lips and nod helplessly.
"Fine, you decide."
Seeing the power allocated in this way, and after Rosen explained the reasons to them, the guards breathed a sigh of relief. Wang Ling's initial dissatisfaction vanished, and now he was somewhat afraid of Rosen. The other man could discern his identity simply from the training regulations; his insight was truly remarkable…
"Now that everyone's here, let's get down to business."
Rosen placed his hands on the table, surveyed the core members of the gang, and said in a low voice:
"Selling scrap metal is too slow to cover the shortfall of several hundred thousand US dollars for building the factory."
