Falling in love with Severus was as easy as breathing; Emeric was like a ray of morning sunlight shining into the cellar, prying open Snape's dark protective shell. (Kids are just so powerful.)
Emeric, through his own abilities, is always at the forefront of gossip, eating whatever's going on, no matter whose it is, and even finding ways to glean information from unconventional sources. To keep up with the gossip, he studied many Muggle-like psychology courses. He's quick-witted and physically strong; the moment he saw Snape, he felt the character's story was fascinating. He has a knack for finding humor in things, and the more he pays attention, the more he invests, naturally falling in love with Snape. He's skilled at smoothing things over, communicating immediately when there's a problem, never stubbornly refusing to admit it.
