University Hospital.

"Mrs. Pomfrey, I've come to see Miss Hermione Granger," Felix said.

"Oh, her," Mrs. Pomfrey complained to him. "These young wizards these days are such a handful, abusing magic potions and having no sense of respect whatsoever... She'll be in the hospital for at least three weeks."

Felix asked with interest, "Can you determine what kind of drug caused this effect?"

"It must be a polysaccharide potion mixed with cat hair. It's ridiculous. I don't know where they found the potion." Madam Pomfrey said, pouring half a cup of the potion from a large bottle. "When those two little wizards brought her here on Christmas Eve, I was shocked. I almost thought it was an irreversible magical injury."

“Compound decoction…” Felix murmured the word, and after a few seconds, he said gently to Mrs. Pomfrey, “Madam, I’ll take the medicine to her on my way.”

Felix pushed open the door and entered the ward.

There were seven or eight beds in the room, but only one was covered by a white curtain. As Felix approached, the curtain was opened from the inside.

"Madame Pomfrey? You've come to deliver the medicine?"

A furry head popped out; the voice belonged to his assistant.

Hermione and Felix's eyes met, and she froze instantly.

"what!"

The little witch let out a terrified scream, immediately shrank back, and forcefully pulled the curtains shut, causing the entire hospital bed to tremble violently.

But in that brief glance, he had already seen what his assistant looked like.

Her face was covered in dark brown cat fur, which mixed with her own hair. Several whiskers were distributed on both sides of her cheeks, her eyes were ginger yellow, and she had two pointed ears standing up on her head.

"Miss Hermione Granger, I heard about your ordeal from Potter and Weasley, so I came to visit you," Felix said with a forced smile.

He waited quietly for a few seconds, and then Hermione's trembling voice came from behind the curtain, "Professor, hello."

"I brought your potion, and—" Felix said, "if you don't mind, I can take a look and see if I can be of any help."

"Professor, you mean... you can solve my problem?" Hermione asked expectantly from behind the curtain.

Felix's image was still replaying in his mind. He tried his best to remain calm. "All I can say is, give it a try. Your situation is quite rare."

Hermione slowly opened the curtain, glanced at him quickly, and then buried her face in her hands.

Felix placed the potion on the table beside him and carefully examined the little witch's current appearance.

This situation is extremely rare. Compound potions are difficult to prepare, and even potion masters don't have many in stock and wouldn't use them easily—the chances of something going wrong like this are even lower.

Hermione noticed his probing gaze and asked softly, "Professor, do you have a solution? Mrs. Pomfrey said it will take me at least three weeks to recover. Oh my god, how many classes will I miss!"

"Hmm, it's a mistake in using the compound decoction, right?" Felix thought about it seriously; this situation was indeed difficult to resolve.

He extended his wand and gently touched Hermione's forehead, the tip of the wand emitting a ring of golden light.

The little witch's face didn't change at all.

"Hmm, Transfiguration won't work; it might be conflicting with the potion's effects... How interesting, uh, I mean, how troublesome. Well then, let's try some less common spells."

In Hermione's eyes, Professor Hyp was enthusiastically casting spell after spell, and he even took out a piece of parchment on which he recorded the effects of various spells.

"This won't do!"

"It does have some effect, but it's not obvious."

"How about trying this?"

Hermione stared blankly at Felix. "Are you trying to help me? I've seen through you, Professor!"

Finally, a rather obscure spell took effect.

The brown hair on her face quickly fell out and disappeared, and her skin regained its fair and clean appearance. Hermione noticed this change; she first touched her face, then picked up a small mirror from under her pillow to examine herself carefully.

"Oh my God." Hermione covered her mouth.

At this moment, her appearance had changed drastically. Most of the thick, bushy brown fur on her face had disappeared, but her whiskers and a pair of pointed ears on her head had stubbornly remained.

But this effect alone was enough to make Hermione, who was on the verge of a mental breakdown, extremely happy.

Hermione looked at herself in the mirror with a delighted expression.

"Professor, what kind of magic is this?"

"It's a lightweight transformation spell that can correct minor imperfections on the body. Of course, it's temporary, and the magical effect can last for about two hours," Felix explained.

"Is it shapeshifting?" Hermione asked knowledgeably. She had originally planned to learn this spell, but she couldn't help feeling a little disappointed, because shapeshifting was an extremely difficult spell.

It is so difficult that even most adult wizards cannot master it.

"That's one way to put it, but its effect might not be as good as you imagine—it can only modify a limited area. You know, this spell was invented by a vampire, and its original purpose was simply to conceal their fangs."

"Vampires?" Hermione asked with great interest. Most of the trouble that had been bothering her had been resolved, even if it was only temporary, which made her feel much better.

"Yes, in the Middle Ages, vampires were universally hated. To hide among people, they developed this magic. But to be honest, the effect was mediocre at best, not comparable to shapeshifting or the Disguise Magus. Nowadays, hardly anyone uses it."

"Professor, I've heard that Disguise Magus can change his appearance at will?"

“Yes, one of my junior classmates has this talent, it’s really convenient.” Felix glanced at her, “That way you don’t have to risk taking compound decoctions.”

Hermione lowered her head, and her pointed ears drooped down.

"Professor, I..."

"You guys secretly brewed the Compound Elixir, didn't you? I mean you, Potter, and Weasley."

Hermione looked up at Professor Hyp with a surprised expression.

“Yes,” Felix said casually, toying with his wand. “That’s easy to guess, especially when I think about how you specifically asked me about special potions. I introduced six powerful potions, but you were clearly more interested in Polyjuice Potion.”

"Compound decoctions can change a person's appearance, which can indeed be used to extract information without anyone noticing—"

"So, what I want to know is, who are you suspecting?" Felix asked Hermione.

After a long silence—

"Malfoy," Hermione whispered. "We suspect he's Slytherin's heir."
