When Bai Lin arrived at the zoo, it was almost closing time. The sunset was beautiful, but Bai Lin had no mood to appreciate the scenery. He found a high spot and glanced around, immediately spotting a seven or eight-year-old child playing with a red fire dragon doll on the grass.

A burst of multicolored light flashed before Bai Lin's eyes, and before long, he was standing on solid ground, reappearing on Charles Street.

The streets were bustling with people, a constant stream of tourists and pedestrians, a mix of all skin colors that made Bai Lin dizzy. He finally managed to slip out of the crowd, only to find the female assassin had vanished without a trace.

Bai Lin didn't have time to notify the Auror office. His mind raced; he immediately deduced that the female assassin would leave Charlie Street as soon as possible to hide in the Muggle world. After all, her wanted posters were still plastered all over Charlie Street. Although they didn't show her face, being seen by the wanted individuals would still cause them considerable psychological pressure. The female assassin's small backpack clearly couldn't hold much equipment; she definitely didn't want to fight wizards head-on.

Bai Lin headed straight for the exit of Charles Street. From afar, he spotted the female assassin. She had somehow acquired a Bulgarian national team jersey (Bulgaria was a favorite to win the Quidditch World Cup) and was mingling among a group of fans as she walked out of Charles Street.

Bai Lin didn't recognize her by her appearance, but by the familiarity of her entire figure. Even though she had changed her clothes, Bai Lin still recognized her at a glance. Moreover, she was wearing a jersey on her upper body but long pants on her lower body, probably to cover her mechanical prosthetic leg.

Bai Lin wasn't in a hurry to alert the female assassin. He wanted to confirm if she had any accomplices nearby, so he followed her from a distance. However, she seemed very alert, often glancing behind her out of the corner of her eye, and almost discovered that Bai Lin was following her several times.

Bai Lin carefully followed them for several streets. As darkness fell, it would be even more advantageous for Bai Lin. As a wizard, it would be too embarrassing if he couldn't even keep up with a Muggle.

The group of fans went straight into the bar on the corner, and the female assassin followed. But she quickly changed her clothes and came out again. Only then did Bai Lin, who was standing in the shadow of the building across the street, see her face clearly.

She appeared to be of mixed Slavic and Arab descent, with a beautiful face and delicate features, though a lingering melancholy seemed to hang between her brows. She looked no more than seventeen or eighteen, and was dressed in a typical French student uniform, making her appear like a student from the Sorbonne or Descartes University. However, Bai Lin had his eye firmly on her; no matter what she wore, she couldn't escape his notice.

Bai Lin thought she would go to the Breakers' stronghold in Paris, but after following her for another two hours, Bai Lin realized that she was just wandering around aimlessly, neither drinking water nor eating. Even Bai Lin felt so hungry that her stomach was sticking to her back, but she showed no sign of stopping.

As she walked, the female assassin gradually seemed to relax her guard, not even noticing that Bai Lin was only a dozen meters away from her.

Finally, the female assassin walked to the banks of the Seine, looked at the bustling city of Paris in the distance, and actually leaned on the railing and cried.

The female assassin was startled and quickly reached for her lower back, but Bai Lin was one step ahead of her, grabbing her arm and saying, "We've fought before, you should know that even with a sword, you can't beat me, let alone the fact that you don't seem to be wearing runic armor..."

The female assassin turned around and swung her elbow at Bai Lin's face, completely disregarding his threat.

But the female assassin was very agile. Like a snake, she swiftly pulled back her restrained arms and thrust her knee into Bai Lin's groin.

Bai Lin was startled. "You girl don't play by the rules! Your leg is a mechanical prosthetic? If it's on my little brother, how am I supposed to have a good life for the rest of my life?!"
