Chapter 95 Harry's Suspicion

This afternoon is the last magical creature protection class of the semester. Hagrid intends to teach the students at the hunting grounds and discuss next week's exam topic with Whitescale.

Bai Lin had been living in a daze these past few days, and now that he thought about it, something seemed off. The three little Harrys hadn't spoken to him for a long time. To be precise, Harry had told Bai Lin about the prophecy of the three Dark Lords. Ever since he returned from Ross Manor, Harry seemed to be intentionally avoiding Bai Lin.

Bai Lin really couldn't understand what a thirteen or fourteen-year-old was thinking. Hermione, who was usually quite "clingy" to him, seemed to be preparing for more than a dozen exams, and her feet were almost always on the ground. Sometimes when Bai Lin looked down from upstairs, he could see Hermione running around with her schoolbag on her back. Bai Lin was really impressed by her study spirit. No wonder she was going to be the Minister of Magic in the future.

Ron, as always, was a bit of a scatterbrain, but he was the only one who would go up and greet Bai Lin warmly when he saw him from afar.

Hagrid was the main lecturer for the afternoon's Magical Creatures Protection class. Since learning that Aragog was still alive, Hagrid's mood had improved considerably. Of course, even if he was in a bad mood, he wouldn't make things difficult for the students. Throughout the class, he hinted at (Bai Lin felt that this was already an explicit hint) the exam questions for the course. However, the students were not happy at all because they still couldn't escape dealing with the four-foot-long Blasttails. These creatures had molted four or five times, growing larger each time, and their tempers had become even more volatile.

When class ended, Bai Lin casually patted Ron on the back. Ron followed Bai Lin into the grove, where Bai Lin asked in a low voice, "I've noticed Harry's been a bit... down lately. Do you know what happened?"

Ron said with a troubled expression, "Maybe it's because exam week is coming up soon. The students are all pretty irritable, and Hermione doesn't play with us anymore..."

Bai Lin thought to himself, "With your carelessness, how could Hermione possibly have fallen for you?"

However, Ron thought for a moment and said, "Oh, I see. But Professor, you can't tell Harry that I told you... He might feel a little embarrassed..."

Bai Lin nodded, and Ron said, "He had another dream! Just a few days ago, and then he seemed really unwell... It seems he dreamt about the mysterious man... He didn't tell me the details; he's a little worried that if he told Dumbledore or the other professors, they'd think he was being overly paranoid..."

Bai Lin frowned, thinking that something was wrong. If it were before, he would definitely have taken the initiative to seek his advice!

After letting Ron go, Bai Lin calculated the days and realized the problem: Harry hadn't dreamt of himself digging up a grave, had he? But Harry only dreamt about things related to Voldemort because of the fragments of Voldemort's soul. Why would he dream about digging up a grave at Riddle Hall?

Unless... unless he and Voldemort arrived at Riddle Hall one after the other, and in the original story, Harry's dream followed in Frank's footsteps and discovered Voldemort's conspiracy with Peter and Barty Jr., it wouldn't be surprising if it were him this time. Of course, Harry couldn't understand why he would dig up old Tom's grave. He would only feel that he was doing something shameful, which led to a crisis of trust.

Bai Lin sighed. He wasn't in a hurry to prove his innocence or drag the thirteen- or fourteen-year-old Harry to the front lines of the war against the three Dark Lords. Instead, his dream reminded him that Voldemort had arrived at Riddle Hall several months earlier and begun his conspiracy against Harry.

According to the original plot, Barty Jr. infiltrated Hogwarts and served as a professor for several months (it's unbelievable that Dumbledore didn't even notice). He went through a lot of trouble to turn the Triwizard Tournament trophy into a Portkey and teleport Harry to Riddle Hall. Bai Lin said, why not just turn something more ordinary into a Portkey, like a Blackmail textbook, and let Harry just grab it and teleport away immediately? Why go through all that trouble to force Harry into the competition for older students, and have Bach find a way to make him win, which was full of uncertainties?

For example, in the first challenge against the dragon, why did Barty think Harry would definitely win just because he knew his opponent was a dragon? And in the second challenge, the underwater rescue, everyone had their own unique methods, so why was Harry, with his gill stalks, guaranteed to win? Had he even seen the movie? Since the goal was to teleport Harry away, there should have been countless methods with a high success rate, yet Barty chose this roundabout way, leaving Bai Lin speechless.

Although Bai Lin could teleport to Riddle House at any time, even taking Dumbledore with him to catch Voldemort off guard, it would be pointless to kill him until all the Horcruxes were eliminated. Who knows where he would pop up from next time and jump onto someone's back.

Just as Bai Lin was getting more and more confused, a sticky note appeared in front of him, swaying back and forth as if afraid that Bai Lin would miss it.

Bai Lin took the message and saw that it was a message from Kaka: To Kelin, there seems to be a split within the Spellbreakers. One group has entered Lombardy in northern Italy, and another group has just disappeared again.

Southern France borders northern Italy, so it makes sense that the lawbreakers fled to Italy after committing their crimes. They don't have the convenient teleportation abilities of wizards and can only use Muggle transportation, so finding their trail shouldn't be difficult.

Bai Lin sorted out his thoughts and suddenly realized a detail: Spellbreakers are all Muggles, and they don't have magic power in their bodies, so they definitely can't use Apparition or Floo Powder. Moreover, they can't teleport with rune equipment. If Bai Lin were a Spellbreaker, he would transport the rune equipment to the designated location via freight, and then travel by car or boat to bypass security checks to reach the destination. He could also reach the destination using a Portkey, just like the female assassin who used a Portkey to escape after committing murder last time.

Where could she get the right key?

Bai Lin looked up and suddenly saw a painting on the wall, depicting a knight charging at a dragon (actually a windmill), from the famous story of Don Quixote. He imagined the windmill as a giant dragon.

Bai Lin suddenly stood up; it was the zoo ticket!

Lulu designed a special ticket when the zoo opened, which could teleport you to the square in front of the zoo island. If a lawbreaker bought several of these tickets, they could go to the zoo anytime, anywhere, and then follow the crowd through the two-way gate back to Paris.

This is why the cyborg Kiki chose Charlie Street for the first attack—it was too convenient. I wonder what Lulu would think if she knew her design had been used to assassinate Elder Ross.

Bai Lin might not care what kind of trouble someone caused elsewhere, but he couldn't tolerate this kind of antics on his turf. He rushed out of the lounge, mounted his broom, and flew towards Hogsmeade. He needed to get to the zoo as quickly as possible; since a group of spellbreakers had just disappeared, they might use the dragon doll to teleport to the zoo.

It was a little awkward to have to use the secret passage under the clothing store after breaking up with Catherine, but Bai Lin couldn't care less about that now.
