Hogwarts Summoning Guide

Chapter 211 The Soul Returns to Heaven

With each step Catherine took, it seemed as if she were experiencing some kind of hellish torture firsthand. The closer she got to the angel statue, the more the cold glint of the sword stung her eyes, as if it were cutting into her skin.

But Catherine, with a courage and strength she didn't know where she got from, stubbornly resisted her inner fear and torment and walked towards the angel statue. In her eyes, the angel statue seemed to come alive, with six gorgeous and beautiful wings unfolding. But in her eyes, it was a deadly weapon, causing her both physical and mental torment.

A sudden thought flashed through Catherine's mind. In the corner of her consciousness, she suddenly thought of the starry sky at Hogwarts. That day, she and Bai Lin were by the window of the tower. She wrapped her arms around Bai Lin's neck, and their lips touched. At that moment, she felt as if she were floating in the air.

That single glimmer of light suddenly obscured so many of the cruel scenes of hell, leading Catherine to the angel statue. The six-meter-tall angel statue coldly looked down at her, but she calmly met its gaze, her heart utterly unmoved.

Catherine glanced at the angel's sharp sword, and the fear in her heart vanished without a trace. A sense of peace filled her heart, as if death was no longer a bad thing for her. She only cared about one thing: how to protect her beloved.

The statue of the Archangel actually came to life. Even Bai Lin and Caesar saw it. The Archangel gripped the golden orb in its hand, and its body rose from the base, hovering about half a meter above the ground, with its six magnificent wings fluttering gently.

"No! Xiao Kai! No!" Bai Lin gasped for breath, trying his best to shout, but he had already lost too much blood and could no longer make a sound.

Caesar, however, was extremely excited. He seemed to already see the golden Dawn Orb within his grasp, and he would, according to Barnard's plan, fuse the Dawn and Night Sky Orbs to gain divine power surpassing all magic in the world. The days when the world groveled at his feet seemed to be unfolding before his eyes.

The Archangel didn't speak, but swiftly drew his three-meter-long sword and swung it towards Catherine's head. His movements were slow, and if she changed her mind, it wouldn't be difficult for her to dodge.

Catherine remained quietly gazing into the angel's eyes, or rather, it wasn't the angel's sword before her. She seemed to have returned to the tower that night, where she had fallen into Bai Lin's arms, the sky ablaze with stars, as if they were all sharing her joy and contentment. A slight smile played on her lips; she felt she could be with Bai Lin forever.

Caesar shouted with excitement, but the scene of Catherine being beheaded did not occur. The sword of the Archangel gently rested on Catherine's forehead, just as a monarch would bestow a title upon a knight or lord.

Catherine felt a coolness on her forehead, followed by a burning sensation all over her body as if she had fallen into boiling water. However, this burning sensation did not cause her pain or aversion. She looked down at her body and saw that her skin first turned yellowish, then cracked and became grayish, and finally began to peel.

She had expected to see a bloody body beneath her skin, but instead, she saw a faint golden light. Before she could even react, her body felt light and she floated up from the ground of the cloud platform. Her original body seemed to have turned to ashes, and she transformed into an energy body emitting a faint golden light.

The feeling was indescribable. Catherine didn't know if she was dead, or if the gray-black dust scattered in the air was herself, or if she was the one who had now turned into an energy body. The angel of punishment in front of her had also turned into golden light. Before she could react, this golden light rushed into her body.

Catherine felt a tickle on her back. As soon as she turned around, she saw a pair of huge wings growing from her back. She had turned into an angel.

An even more dazzling golden light shone on her chest. She looked down and saw that the golden radiance had formed a magnificent suit of armor around her, and the Dawn Orb was embedded in her chest.

"Big sister! You did it!" Sifugar's voice rang out from beside her.

Catherine turned her head and saw that Sifgar, who was only the size of a fist, had flown out from somewhere and was happily flying around Catherine, like a little elf in a fairy tale.

Catherine's mind was flooded with a large amount of information in an instant. She didn't have time to think carefully because the Summoning Encyclopedia sub-machine, which had disappeared, suddenly lit up and underwent a great change, becoming as large as Bai Lin's main machine.

The most important thing now is what's in front of him. Caesar has silently approached from the side, his eyes fixed on the Dawn Orb on Catherine's chest. He's about to take advantage of Catherine's fascination with the "transformation" and kill her.

Caesar moved with lightning speed, even faster than when he fought Bai Lin. He leaped into the air, because Catherine was now floating more than a meter off the ground. His sword could only pierce Catherine's side waist. In his eyes, it didn't matter whether Catherine was an angel, a human, or a demon. Having long abandoned his faith, he wanted to kill anyone who stood in his way and prove that he was the final god.

However, he seemed to have completely underestimated Catherine's condition. When his short sword was still fifty or sixty centimeters away from Catherine, it was as if he had pierced an invisible rubber body. The short sword was deeply embedded in it and could not go any further. He roared and thrust the short sword in his left hand fiercely, but the result was the same. His sword was tightly bound in mid-air by some unseen force and was almost hanging up.

Caesar pushed off with both legs, and long daggers emerged from his toes. He flipped over and kicked at Catherine's abdomen, but he failed again and was frozen in mid-air in an extremely contorted position.

Sifgar said angrily, "How dare they attack the Star Angel Aphrina in the Heavenly Cloud Palace! It's outrageous! It's simply..." She didn't seem to know any vicious words, so she could only pout and be angry.

But Catherine had no time to pay attention to Caesar, who was frozen in place. She flapped her wings and flew to Bai Lin, who was lying on the ground with serious injuries.

Looking at Catherine, who had transformed into an angel, the dying Bai Lin's lips curled up slightly. It seemed that Catherine had not only survived but had also gained some extraordinary power, or rather, a legacy.

"Sifgar, how can I help him?" Catherine asked.

"Sister, focus your attention on his wounds, think about healing him, healing him, and the power of the Star Angels will restore him!" Sifugar said in her clear voice.

Catherine crouched down, her eyes gleaming slightly as she looked at Bai Lin. To Bai Lin's surprise, all the wounds on his body began to feel numb and itchy, and then they began to heal at a visible speed. Many pale golden particles appeared in the air, helping to heal his wounds and replenishing the blood he had lost. In less than two minutes, Bai Lin felt as if he had completely recovered.

He touched his still tender, newly healed skin and couldn't help but marvel. He knew that even the most powerful white magic couldn't heal his injuries so quickly.

He scrambled to his feet and pulled Catherine into his arms. Never before had he experienced such a life-or-death situation, and been willing to give his life for her, moved him so deeply. He kissed Catherine's lips passionately, but after about five seconds, as if sensing something, he gently released her and asked with a complex expression, "Are you... still Little Catherine?"

Catherine hugged him gently, assuring him not to worry. She said, "I'm still Catherine Lambert, but I'm a little different now... I'm still the Star Angel Aphrina, the soul mentor of the Dawn faction... We've become one..."

Sifgar leaned closer and said, "No one has ever successfully fused with her before, and I don't know how long a complete fusion will take, but don't worry, Catherine Lambert's soul and memories will not disappear. She will only gain a lot of memories and knowledge... as well as the power of the Star Angels." Sifgar, now in her sprite form, was in a physical form, and Bai Lin could see her.

"There's too much information... It might take me several days to sort through these memories. Before that... we need to deal with him..." Catherine pointed to Caesar, who was still hanging in the air, struggling to break free, but to no avail.

Catherine took a few steps toward Caesar, and with a gentle wave of her finger, Caesar floated before her like a puppet on a string.

"You must be in a lot of pain... Perhaps your pain comes from your limbs..." Catherine whispered. As she spoke, the mechanical arm that Bai Lin hadn't been able to remove detached itself automatically from Caesar's body, then naturally disintegrated into a pile of parts, followed by his legs and many organs from his abdomen. In no time, Caesar was left with only a head and part of his upper body; even one eye had fallen off, and many parts were protruding from his ear.

"I will heal your pain..." As Catherine spoke, many golden particles appeared in the air again. They floated over and began to repair Caesar's damaged body. Bai Lin's eyes were filled with surprise. He really wanted to shoot Caesar, but he did not interrupt Catherine. She must have a deeper meaning.

The organ repair took about five minutes. Soon after, Caesar became a complete and robust naked man, still restricted in his movements, floating in front of Catherine and the other two. However, only Bai Lin seemed slightly embarrassed. Catherine and Sifugar seemed to be looking at Caesar as if he were a stone.

"Your physical disability has deprived you of many human senses, and your body is unable to secrete hormones that generate positive emotions. All of this makes you lack empathy for other humans... However, even if you were healthy, your heart still belongs to the ruthless camp. You would cause great harm to humans, just like you killed those innocent villagers..." Catherine's expression was very sad.

Caesar then regained his ability to speak, and he sneered, "Witch! Freak! Don't think I'll let you go just because you've restored my body! You'd better kill me with one blow, and even if you do, I'll return from hell, find you, and..."

Sifugar, who was standing to the side, couldn't stand it anymore. She waved her hand and said angrily, "How rude of you to interrupt Sister Avrina!" Caesar fell silent again and couldn't make a sound no matter what he did.

Bai Lin rolled his eyes. Was Caesar, such a villain, only "rude"?

Catherine said sadly, "You once said that you came to find the Dawn Orb to repair your body, and I have already fulfilled that wish. The Dawn Energy that just repaired your body actually came from the souls of the villagers you killed."

Bai Lin was stunned. He hadn't expected Catherine to use so many precious souls of good people to repair Caesar, a villain comparable to a demon. Was this the kind of absurd value system that existed in the Order of Good? He was so shocked that he couldn't speak for a moment.

However, Catherine continued, "Now that you have gotten what you wanted, you must bear the punishment you deserve... I will extract your soul, and then Yefim... the Son of Dawn you kidnapped from the train, his soul will take over your reconstructed body and fulfill his wish."

Caesar's eyes widened, as if he wanted to curse. He never imagined that Catherine would punish him in this way. He had just regained his long-lost complete body and all the sensations he had ever dreamed of, but Catherine was going to tell him that this body would be given to that short and weak child. He could no longer remain calm and tried desperately to break free and scream, but how could he resist the power of an angel?

Catherine drew the sword from her waist, the same one from the Star Angel statue, but now a normal size. She pointed the blade at Caesar's heart, and Caesar immediately felt extreme pain. His soul seemed to have been kissed by a Dementor, and it was surging wildly out of his heart. At first, Bai Lin saw some human figures, but they quickly turned into a cloud of golden dust and disappeared into the air.

Catherine cast her spell again, and some dust particles formed the shape of the little boy Caesar had killed. Then, along Catherine's sword, they entered Caesar's body.

Caesar's body trembled slightly. Sifugar leaned closer to take a look and said happily, "The soul is merging with the body, it's going smoothly!"

Catherine glanced at Bai Lin, who was staring in disbelief, and explained, "Caesar's greatest wish is for his body to be restored so he can become a normal person. The villagers' greatest wish is for their chosen Son of Dawn, Yefim, to survive, because even if he isn't killed by Caesar, his congenital disease will take his life... And Yefim's greatest wish is to revitalize his village... But there isn't enough energy in the world to fulfill everyone's wishes. I can only do my best to help them..."

Bai Lin scratched his head. Perhaps this was the philosophy of the Order of Good. It felt strange. Although Yefim had spent some time in the world, he should still be able to accept Caesar's body. However, Caesar probably never imagined that his wish would be fulfilled in this way. But Bai Lin felt that he deserved his punishment, which was very fair. Being able to return to the heavens should be a blessing for him.
