Then he went to the living room, sat down on the sofa, and picked up his phone to order takeout.

She was rowing intently with her head down, and out of the corner of her eye, she saw the man walking over.

Then the area next to the sofa sank slightly.

I swiped through the same few shops on my phone screen, but I couldn't focus on anything.

He then pretended not to notice and raised his phone slightly to cover half of his face.

That gaze was still there, resting on her face through the phone screen.

Su Wuli bit her lip, then suddenly put down her phone and turned to glare at him.

"You were the one who smeared foam all over my face first."

He said this with his chin slightly raised, his tone carrying a hint of self-righteousness despite a lack of conviction.

"What did I say?" the man asked quietly.

As soon as she finished speaking, Su Wuli paused, her lips moving as she realized what she had just heard.

He didn't seem to say anything; she was just making excuses because she felt guilty and said she was hungry.

Su Wuli glanced at him, then held her phone up again, placing it between the two of them.

"I'm not ordering for you," her voice muffled behind the phone. "I'll just order for myself."

He tapped the screen twice as he spoke, as if confirming an order.

A large hand reached over from the side, grabbed the edge of her phone, and pressed it down slightly.

Su Wuli peeked out from above her phone and looked at him.

The man's gaze fell on her face, then moved to her lips.

He didn't speak, but simply raised his hand to touch and rub her earlobe, his fingertips slowly tracing its surface.

My ears went from being cool to being hot.
