Pirate: I'm about to do something big!
Chapter 4: What made you have the illusion that I am an ability user?
"Nice to meet you, my name is Alyosha Ran."
Alyosha stood in the Sun Pirates' temporary camp and politely greeted the three fishmen who came out of the main tent.
If you ignore the fact that your companions in the other tents have already been taken into custody, and only look at Alyosha himself, then his appearance and attitude can indeed put people at ease.
Alyosha was also observing the three fish-men in front of him: the sea bream fish-man Fisher Tiger, the whale shark fish-man Jinbe, and the sawtooth shark fish-man Arlong. Of these three fish-men, Alyosha only had a deep memory of Jinbe and Arlong.
Jinbe, the former, first became one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, and later became the helmsman of Luffy's chosen one's ship.
The latter, Arlong, was a major rival of Luffy when he was adventuring in the East Blue in his early days. It was also because of Arlong that Luffy was able to meet Nami and become her partner. He is a fish-man racist who has not yet completely gone to extremes.
"Headquarters Navy? How could you be so fast!"
Despite being surrounded, the three fishmen, led by Fisher Tiger, did not panic. Instead, they looked around in surprise and confusion, seemingly trying to find the reason.
"It's more accurate to say that you lingered in the Paradise Sea area for too long without changing locations, and you were discovered long ago."
Alyosha spread his hands, his face full of helplessness, as if to say, "I didn't really expect to be able to catch you."
This unpretentious expression first provoked Arlong, the fishman next to Fisher Tiger, who believed that fishmen were inherently superior to humans and could not accept Alyosha's attitude.
Ignoring Fisher beside him, Aaron charged at Alyosha, wielding a long saw blade and slashing down at Alyosha's head.
Ah Long, wielding a saw almost as tall as Alyosha, swung it down at Alyosha in front of him, but saw no sign of him. Then he felt a sharp pain in the back of his neck.
This racist, who believed that fish-men were inherently superior to humans, suddenly rolled his eyes, foamed at the mouth, and collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
Alyosha stood still, simply wiping his hands as if he had done something insignificant.
This scene also widened the eyes of the fish-men in the camp who were being controlled by the marines, unable to believe what they were seeing.
Tina, however, was unfazed by the presence of the marines and Smoker.
For fish-men, who are naturally stronger than humans, tranquilizer darts only weaken their limbs but cannot completely knock them unconscious.
"You can't be kidding, right? Ah Long lost just like that?!"
"Who exactly is this navy guy?!"
Hearing the exclamations of the fishmen around him, Alyosha felt a little satisfied. All those years of hard training were for the sake of showing off his skills in front of others.
After finishing with Arlong, Alyosha looked at Tiger and Jinbe, who were on high alert, and still had that harmless smile and gentle demeanor.
"Alright, where were we? Oh right, I'm here to arrest you."
"You think you can take all those marines?"
"Is that not allowed?"
Alyosha's question left Tiger speechless. He had effortlessly taken down his underling Arlong, something even Tiger couldn't do, especially considering the presence of two Devil Fruit users and a group of elite Marines.
Tiger knew very well that if a fight broke out, at best he would be the only one who could escape.
Sensing the change in Tiger's emotions, Alyosha continued to escalate the situation.
"If you're waiting for your other crew members to support you, then forget it. My position at headquarters is Commodore, which allows me to manage a large headquarters warship and mobilize the regional naval forces. I have 1000 marines directly under my command, and my warship is anchored ten nautical miles away, locked onto your ship."
"Are you threatening our comrades' lives?!"
"This is not a threat, it's a fact."
Jinbe, the fishman, was still angry and wanted to say something tougher, but Alyosha's one sentence left him speechless.
Captain Fisher Tiger raised his hand to stop Jinbe's argument, and took a few steps forward with a serious expression.
"You want to capture me. I'll go with you, as long as you release my companions and this child. She's not a fish-man, she's a child who was kidnapped from this village. I'm just taking her home. Ha, of course, how could the Navy, as lackeys of the World Government, believe the words of a fish-man like me?"
Tiger chuckled self-deprecatingly and pulled out the little girl, Kera, who was protecting him from behind.
Koala was born on Forsythia Island. As a child, she was kidnapped by a slave ship and sold into slavery to the Celestial Dragons.
She later escaped after the fishman Fisher Tiger caused havoc in the Holy Land of Mary Geoise, freeing the slaves. Among the many slaves who escaped at that time were Boa Hancock, one of the future Seven Warlords of the Sea, and her two sisters.
After escaping, Koala had nowhere to go and was picked up by the Sun Pirates. He joined their ship, where Tiger healed Koala's psychological trauma. After sending Koala back to Forshat Island, the villagers, fearing the fish-men, informed the Navy, which indirectly led to Tiger being ambushed and seriously injured by the Navy.
He refused a human blood transfusion and died from his injuries.
The Sun Pirates disbanded as a result, and Koala joined the Revolutionary Army along with one of the fish-man crew members. There, she met Sabo, Luffy's second brother whom he thought had been dead for many years. She is also known as "Second Sister-in-law" by One Piece fans.
Seeing the little girl Kerla stubbornly refusing to loosen Tiger's trouser leg, Alyosha boldly stepped forward.
He bent down, ruffled Kella's hair, and smiled at Kella, who was looking at him with fear.
"Don't worry, I was just chatting with Captain Tiger. You see, that Aaron just passed out. He seems to have a bad temper, right?"
Kelra glanced at Arlong, the fishman foaming at the mouth, not far behind Alyosha, and nodded.
"So it's okay. Your name is Koala, right? Go to that naval lady."
Alyosha pointed in Tina's direction, took Kella's little hand, and the little girl slowly lowered her guard. She could feel that Alyosha was not lying to her.
Only then, glancing back every few steps, reluctant to leave Tiger who was looking at him with gentle eyes, did he walk towards Tina.
"Of course I believe you took the child home."
"Huh? You believe me? You believe me, a merman?"
Tiger was taken aback. How was this different from his usual battles with the Navy? Back then, the Navy would greet him with accusations of being a naturally evil fish-man...
"Because you did exactly that, and I saw it. Children's eyes don't lie, but that doesn't contradict my decision to arrest you."
"Yes, that's not contradictory." Tiger agreed with Alyosha, and he was also prepared.
"So I'm willing to give you a chance. As the great hero Tiger in the eyes of Fishman Island and the slaves, the hero who wreaked havoc in the Holy Land Mary Geoise, you have to let me see what you're capable of. If you defeat me, you can take your crew and ship with you."
Alyosha looked up at Tiger, who was half again as tall as him (two meters), and saw that same harmless smile.
-----------------
"Fishman Karate, Gun Wave Barrage!"
The voice of Fisher Tiger, the fishman, rang out in the woods of Forchart Island.
Meanwhile, dense water-wave projectiles rammed into the forest, snapping trees in half.
Fishman Karate is a skill that all mermaids and fishmen in the One Piece world possess. Its principle is to use their racial advantage to condense moisture in the air into water balls and launch them, and its power should not be underestimated.
It is most effective near a water source.
Of course, humans can also practice, but it's difficult for them to become as powerful as fish-men and mermaids.
Alyosha strolled leisurely amidst the barrage of water cannonballs fired by Tiger, none of which hit him. He shook his head in regret as he looked at the forest destroyed by the water cannons.
"Fishman Karate, Tsuchi-no-Ken!"
Just as Alyosha was lamenting the loss of the trees, Tiger changed his attack again, unleashing a powerful shockwave that swept Alyosha away like a fallen leaf towards the shore.
Tiger gave chase, while Smoker and his crew, who were holding back some of the Sun Pirates' members, followed behind the two.
"Well done, Tiger! Let this commodore know how powerful we fishmen are!"
"Exactly. Just look at him with those glasses. He looks like a civilian brigadier general from the Navy Headquarters. Otherwise, how could he have risen so quickly?"
The crew, oblivious to the situation, continued to cheer Tiger on, only to be interrupted by Jinbe, a fishman who offered no resistance.
"Shut up if you don't know what's going on! Didn't you all realize that this Brigadier General Alyosha never really meant anything by it from the start?!"
"I didn't expect that a merman could see Alyosha's strength. Tina is very happy."
"After all, he's Tiger's second-in-command, much better than that idiot fishman from before."
Smoker and Tina worked together seamlessly, showing no racial prejudice. They viewed the operation as a mission, and Smoker even offered his cigar to Jinbe.
Continue watching Alyosha and Tiger's battle from the shore.
Under the moonlight, Alyosha hung on the sea surface, watching Tiger, who had been panting heavily while chasing him, but was now full of energy as he stepped into the sea.
"Now, you should be able to perform perfectly, right?"
"Are you letting me have my way?"
"I just wanted to see the full power of Fishman Karate in the sea. I can't help it if that's how you interpret it."
"As a Devil Fruit user, you shouldn't have let a Fishman who knows Fishman Karate touch the seawater! Alyosha Ran, you lost!"
Fishman Karate Secret Technique: Budaikan!
Tiger roared, and seawater gathered in his hands, blasting a dense jet of water towards Alyosha in the air.
These water jets can be understood as high-pressure water guns controlled by Tiger, each powerful enough to penetrate an ironclad warship.
Tiger believed that Alyosha's near-flying movement was not the Moon Walk from the Six Powers of the Navy, thus defining Alyosha as a user of a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit.
Upon hearing this, Alyosha simply smiled slightly.
He let these high-pressure water jets cover him, and the water jets collided with each other in the air, turning into a mist that filled the sky.
But Tiger didn't see Alyosha among them; he only heard Alyosha's voice behind him.
"What made you have the illusion that I am a Devil Fruit user?"
