Pirate: I'm about to do something big!
Chapter 3 The Sun Pirates
Forshat Island is a small island located in the "Paradise" sea area in the middle of the Grand Line.
The reason this sea area is called "paradise" is mainly in contrast to the perilous New World in the second half of the Grand Line.
The sea area known as "Paradise" is home to several member states and non-member states of the world government.
Pirate crews, some with ambitions to set sail on adventures and others who had been taught a lesson by the New World, have settled here. Their strengths vary, and each crew occupies its own territory.
They satisfy their various needs by oppressing and exploiting the residents of the island, and some even collude with the branch navy stationed there and the local government to exploit the people together.
Forchard Island is such a small island that suffers from the bullying of pirates and the oppression of the government.
For the island's residents, pirates are more terrifying than the local government. After all, the local government knows that this is their base of operations, so they will be more restrained in exploiting the island and continue to exploit it to the point of exhaustion.
Pirates don't care about any of that. They'll steal whatever they want, pack up their money, capture people and sell them. Anyone who dares to resist will die.
Alyosha led his team on this mission after receiving a secret tip from the residents of Forsythe Island that the Sun Pirates had arrived on their island.
When the news reached Marineford headquarters, Alyosha immediately led his team to set off. However, halfway there, a branch major general named Stoberi came to join the fun, wanting a share of the spoils.
Alyosha vaguely remembered that if it weren't for him, the captain of the Sun Pirates, the fishman Fisher Tiger, would have died here, ambushed, severely injured, refused a blood transfusion, and died from excessive blood loss.
He was curious whether capturing or releasing all the members of the Sun Pirates here would affect the timeline.
Will Luffy, the chosen one, be able to reconnect with his two crewmates, Nami and Jinbe?
Alyosha accepted the mission to hunt down the Sun Pirates for only one reason: he wanted to use the Sun Pirates as an experiment.
Alyosha's forces quickly made contact with the villagers who had informed the navy.
An elderly man, judging from his appearance, should be the village chief.
However, this honest and simple old man was also startled when he saw the fierce and powerful army behind Alyosha. No matter how the marines around him questioned him, he stammered and did not know how to answer.
For the islanders in this sea area, there is actually no difference between the navy and pirates.
"Captain Roy, how many times have I told you to speak to the locals in a gentle and humble manner? You're here to arrest pirates, not ordinary people. Watch your tone and attitude when you talk to the old folks."
Alyosha said something to the lieutenant, then walked up to the old man. He wore black-rimmed glasses and had short, brown hair. His gentle and refined demeanor gradually made the old man lower his guard.
"Sir, I'm sorry to have startled you. My name is Alyosha Ran, from Naval Headquarters, and I'm their commander. Could you tell me what happened?"
"The Sun Pirates are all in the village. They even brought Koala back with them."
"Who is Kella?"
"A little girl from our village was kidnapped and sold by pirates when she was eight years old, but she's back now."
"Isn't this great? The family is reunited."
"But sir, they are the Sun Pirates, wanted by the World Government and your Navy. They brought Koala back with no good intentions. They're going to capture our whole village and sell them. I saw their ship; it's huge, enough to hold everyone in our village."
So it was all a misunderstanding?
Alyosha immediately understood the reason. He knew about the Sun Pirates led by Fisher Tiger, but the island's residents and most of the Marines did not. Confused by the World Government's propaganda, they would only think that the Sun Pirates had ill intentions, which is why they informed the Marines.
In that case, if he wants to let the Sun Pirates go, he'll have to put on a show.
"Old man, we don't know anything about this place. Could you please show us the way? We're here to deal with the Sun Pirates."
"Yes, I know there's a path that leads to our village."
"Thank you very much, sir. Smoker, pass on the order: no firing a shot without my permission, and no harassment of the village!"
"Pass down the order: no firing is permitted without permission, and no harassment of the village is allowed!"
The orders were passed down one after another, and Alyosha, led by the old man, took a small path and quietly entered the village, telling everyone not to fire.
Soon, they saw the outline of the village, a village with only about a hundred people, completely silent.
At the village entrance, in an open space, there was a temporary campsite where the fishmen of the Sun Pirates were resting. One of the tents was lit by a fire, and several fishmen could be seen arguing around a small figure in the center.
Alyosha listened intently, catching the entire conversation inside the tent.
"Boss Tiger, if you ask me, just leave this brat here. Let them take him or not. Don't forget the Navy is still chasing us."
"This time I agree with Ah Long, boss. There's no need to delay any longer. Can't you see they're all afraid of us?"
"That's precisely why we need to let them know what we're doing!"
Listening to the conversation, Alyosha also knew who the three fishmen in the camp were: the leader Fisher Tiger, the second-in-command Jinbe, one of the future Seven Warlords of the Sea, and Arlong, a fishman who hated humans but had not yet gone to extremes.
Looking at his two comrades beside him, Alyosha signaled to retreat before giving his orders: "Tina, take notes."
You lead Team One and Team Two to secretly surround the camp. Use your Devil Fruit powers to ensure no Fish-Man escapes. Smoker, you lead Team Three and wait for my signal. Once the signal sounds, you must cover the entire camp with your white smoke. Team Four, pay attention to Smoker's signal, coordinate your actions, and switch to tranquilizer grenades. Don't tell me you forgot them.
"Tina understands."
Alyosha waved his hand, signaling for action.
Tina and Smoker each led their teams away. As the messenger informed Alyosha via Den Den Mushi that he was in position, Alyosha pulled out a signal gun from his pocket and fired it into the air.
The signal flare soared into the sky with a whistling sound and a burst of fire, illuminating the Sun Pirates' camp, and Tina was the first to activate her ability.
She is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit user, the Cage-Cage Fruit, which allows her to pass her arm through other people's bodies, leaving iron bars to imprison them. She is also known as "Black Cage" Tina by the Marines of Headquarters.
Alyosha's tactic was simple: Smoker, a Logia-type Devil Fruit user with the Smoke-Smoke Fruit, rushed into the camp and immediately released a thick, indistinct smoke to confuse the other fish-men of the Sun Pirates. He then used the smoke to mark their positions, allowing Tina to follow the bodies of the marines who rushed into the camp and set up temporary prisons around the fish-men, restricting their movements.
Then, the fourth team followed up with a shot, using tranquilizer darts to take down the fishmen, rendering them incapable of fighting in the shortest possible time, thus reducing casualties and conflict on both sides.
As for himself, he headed towards the only unattacked main camp to meet the great merman hero, Fisher Tiger.
The signal sounded, the battle began, and the battle ended.
Alyosha had executed this tactic with Smoker and Tina countless times, and his troops were veterans of three years, truly elite regular soldiers.
Their numbers and tactical coordination far surpassed those of the Sun Pirates led by Fisher Tiger.
The battle ended in less than three minutes. Fisher Tiger, Jinbe, and Arlong, who came out of the camp, watched as the smoke cleared and their comrades, who had been subdued by the Marines, and Alyosha, wearing a Justice Cloak, walked towards them in the moonlight.
He was dressed in white, with a black uniform underneath, and a straight sword at his waist.
He had short, brown hair and wore black-rimmed glasses.
Alyosha strolled through the Sun Pirates' temporary camp, bathed in the night light. He pushed up his glasses and gave a harmless smile to the three members of the Sun Pirates and the little girl Koala they were protecting behind them.
"Nice to meet you, Fisher Tiger, the great hero of the fishmen, and you, little one, my name is Alyosha Ran."
