Uchiha Puppet Master, Starting from One Piece
Chapter 88 Schemes
Robin then walked to the window, lifted a corner of the curtain, and looked towards the end of the street.
As night fell, the once bustling town gradually quieted down, with only a few streetlights casting a dim yellow glow. Under the cover of darkness, the residents seemed to be quietly gathering near the square, holding knives, guns, and halberds, their eyes fierce, a stark contrast to their previous enthusiasm.
"They're waiting for us to fall asleep."
Robin said softly, "The surrounding houses have all been modified, probably to surround us."
Unohana gently placed Kanna on the bed, covered her with the blankets, and asked as she turned around, "Should we deal with them now? They all look so weak, I don't even intend to draw my sword."
"No rush."
Bai Yu looked at the snowflakes falling outside the window: "The weather on the Grand Line is really unpredictable. These people, were they once pirates who ventured into the Grand Line?"
Robin paused for a moment, then nodded: "Judging from their movements and weapon usage habits, they are indeed not ordinary people. They seem to be people who have experienced seafaring adventures but chose to stay here because they are afraid of the dangers that follow. Their moves should all have some basics, but they have become rusty due to long-term comfort. They can only rely on disguise and their numerical advantage to plunder passing ships."
"Afraid of danger, yet unwilling to give up the wealth of the Grand Line, they chose to become hosts here. Sure enough, most pirates are despicable people."
Bai Yu chuckled, tossed the fruit in his hand into the air, and caught it steadily: "How interesting. Let them prepare for a while longer. After all, we should stretch our muscles. As for those who slipped through the net and didn't participate in the operation, let's just forget about them. Although they are despicable, they are not entirely useless."
"Wouldn't it be simpler to use Conqueror's Haki?"
"We probably don't have any interest in wielding a knife against a weak person who's already unconscious, right? But I really don't have much affection for these guys..."
"That's true, pests need to be dealt with at specific times."
As night deepened, the snow fell heavier and heavier, covering the footprints on the streets and concealing the footsteps hidden in the darkness.
Hundreds of pirates disguised as residents had assembled, their weapons gleaming coldly in the night.
The leader was the town mayor, whose face had long lost its previous kindness, replaced by greed and ruthlessness.
"Listen up, everyone!"
The mayor lowered his voice, his tone icy: "These people look intimidating, but we outnumber them and they've definitely had a lot to drink; they're probably fast asleep by now! On my command, charge in and leave no survivors! Their ships, weapons, and treasure are all ours!"
"Understood!" the crowd responded in unison, their voices low but filled with barely suppressed excitement and tension.
Indeed, they were all losers on the Grand Line, having been repeatedly defeated by raging waves and powerful enemies, and ultimately choosing to hide on Whiskey Peak, making a living by plundering passing adventurers.
Over the years, they have sent away one batch of souls after another with false enthusiasm, and have long been accustomed to this immoral way of life. In their eyes, Bai Yu and his group are nothing more than another batch of prey delivered to their door.
The mayor glanced in the direction of the wooden house, and seeing no movement inside, slowly raised the long sword in his hand: "Make your move!"
At a command, hundreds of pirates pounced on the wooden house like hungry wolves, their weapons slashing at the doors and windows, instantly smashing the once tidy house into a shower of splinters. However, when they rushed into the room, they found it empty, with only the fire in the fireplace still burning quietly, and the bedding neatly laid out on the bed, as if the owner had only temporarily left.
"Where is everyone?!" The town mayor looked around, his face full of astonishment and panic.
Just then, a clear, cold voice came from the rooftop, accompanied by the rustling of falling snowflakes: "Are you looking for us? You can't even find such a simple hiding place? I overestimated you."
Everyone looked up and saw Shiraha, Robin, Unohana, and Rangiku standing on the roof. Snowflakes fell on them, but they did not affect their imposing presence in the slightest.
Bai Yu stood with his hands behind his back, his black cloak fluttering in the night wind. His black eyes, like icy pools, swept over the panicked pirates below: "It seems your welcoming ceremony is even more special than we imagined."
Snowflakes pattered down on the rooftop, and Bai Yu's voice, carried by the night wind, gently pattered into the hearts of the pirates. The mayor's face was deathly pale, and his hand gripping his longsword trembled uncontrollably. He couldn't understand why the sleeping prey he had scouted out would appear on the rooftop like a ghost, showing no sign of panic, but rather a lazy, detached air of watching a show.
"Go! There are only four of them!"
The mayor roared in a show of bravado, trying to bolster his courage with his numerical advantage.
Hundreds of pirates exchanged glances, and greed ultimately overcame fear. They brandished their weapons and rushed toward the rooftop. The chaotic footsteps and the sound of snow being crushed mingled together, creating quite a spectacle.
But this show of force was futile in the face of Bai Yu and his group.
Unohana made the first move. She didn't even draw the long sword at her waist; her figure moved like a ghost between the rooftops and the crowd.
Whenever someone's weapon was about to touch her, it would be deflected by a gentle yet irresistible force. Immediately afterward, her wrist would go numb, the weapon would slip from her hand, and she would fly backward like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily into the snow.
Don't think that people won't die just because you don't swing your sword. Unohana won't show mercy to evil people, and these guys are basically already dead.
Rangiku leaned against the railing, casually ripped off the bandage from her waist, and with a flick of her wrist, the white bandage seemed to come alive, instantly wrapping around the ankles of five or six pirates.
She lightly touched the ground with her toes, and the bandages tightened suddenly. The men lost their balance and crashed into each other, rolling like a snowball. Then she drew her sword and began to slash.
"This is really troublesome. This is the first time I've used this style after learning it from Sister Hua."
Rangiku yawned, her tone languid: "I could have had a good night's sleep."
Robin's ability is even simpler and more direct: countless arms emerge from the snow, walls, and rooftops, forming an invisible net that firmly holds down the dozens of pirates at the forefront.
Those arms were incredibly strong, and no matter how the pirates struggled, they couldn't break free. They could only watch helplessly as their companions fell one by one, their faces filled with despair.
"The house renovation skills are good, but it's a pity that they were used in the wrong place. I quite like this kind of environment."
Robin commented softly, her fingertips twitching slightly, and another group of pirates were pinned to the ground.
These guys have no chance of making a comeback.
