The weapon by the pillow

This was the thirteenth time. Cheng Tan had been having strange dreams, and each one was different. In each dream, he killed the same strange woman with a different weapon: an ice pick, an electrical wire, a rusty key… until he saw a report in an old newspaper about a cold case from thirteen years ago—the victim's face was exactly the same as the woman in his dreams. And the weapon mentioned in the report was the same pair of pliers, stained with dried blood, that he had found under his pillow last night.
