Hogwarts: The Witch Education Handbook

Chapter 92 Exclusive Interview

Kramer is ten years older than Sean, and he also graduated from Hufflepuff.

The two have been working together for five or six years.

Even when Sean was still in school, he would often submit articles to Kramer.

Kramer valued his junior schoolmate highly.

He always felt that Sean's mind contained another world, and his endless stream of ingenious ideas always amazed him.

Whenever Sean submitted a manuscript, Kramer would read it eagerly, and each time he was deeply attracted by the unique and wonderful stories.

Therefore, there is a hidden relationship between the two—writer and book fan.

Hearing Kramer's relentless teasing, Sean was starting to feel overwhelmed and quickly changed the subject: "Senior, why did you call me here this time...?"

Seeing Sean's somewhat embarrassed expression, Kramer couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Alright, alright, I'm just teasing you. The main reason I called you here is to give you an exclusive interview."

"An exclusive interview?"

"Hmm." Kramer nodded and continued, "Ever since your book 'The Days I Lived and Eat with the Wild Man of Shennongjia' was released last year, it broke Lockhart's record on the Daily Prophet's bestseller list for 'I Am Magical'."

"We received inside information a few days ago."

Lockhart is going to hold a book signing event for "I Am Magic" at Flourish and Blotts in a while to reclaim the top spot on the bestseller list.

"And..." Kramer lowered his voice, looked around to make sure no one was watching, and continued, "There's another rumor: Lockhart let something slip at the banquet a few days ago."

"What?"

"He said he's already sent his resume to Dumbledore; he's going to Hogwarts to take your place as the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor..."

"Replace me?" Sean exclaimed in surprise.

That's good?

And some people are actually eager to jump into the fire pit?

Are these the course materials that his Slytherin students found for him?

This behavior is difficult to evaluate; it's hard to say whether Lockhart came up with this idea on his own or if someone was whispering in his ear.

While others may not know Lockhart's true strength, Sean is well aware of it.

Lockhart's mediocre skills are barely enough to get by in the wizarding world, but he insists on teaching at Hogwarts, the most dangerous place in the wizarding world right now. Isn't that like an old man drinking poison?

Sean had initially thought that with him as the butterfly, Lockhart would be spared from trouble, but unexpectedly...

Sean suppressed a laugh, frowned, and feigned disbelief: "Replace me? How is that possible? My work at Hogwarts has always been highly praised, and the students and professors have a high regard for me. How could Lockhart possibly replace me so easily?"

Kramer looked at Sean and nodded seriously. "I know this sounds absurd, but Lockhart's network in the Ministry of Magic is not to be underestimated. Moreover, his public image has always been very positive, and many people are drawn to his books and speeches."

"If he really intends to submit his resume to Hogwarts and Professor Dumbledore is considering it, then we do need to be wary of this matter."

Kramer then changed the subject and continued.

"But you don't need to worry too much. I called you here today precisely for this matter."

"Lockhart is planning a book signing to boost his popularity, right? We can do that too." Kramer paused, and after Sean looked at him with a questioning expression, he continued, "The company has contacted Mr. Barnabas, the editor-in-chief of the Daily Prophet, and he has agreed to do an exclusive story about you, which will be on the front page of the Daily Prophet for a month."

"What Whitshard can do, we, the Obscurials, can do too."

Kramer patted his chest, vouching for Sean.

"You just need to casually mention your experience as a professor over the past year in an exclusive interview; I think your fans would love to know that."

"It would be even better if you could write another book based on your experiences from the past year."

As he said this, Kramer's eyes shone, and he seemed to have already pictured the exciting and spectacular scene in his mind—the bookstore was packed with people, readers were scrambling to buy Sean's new book, and the major media outlets were reporting on it, with praise pouring in.

Sean had never seen his senior, who always considered himself a scholar, have such a crazy side.

Sean involuntarily took a half step back, avoiding the spittle that Kramer was about to spray onto his face.

Looking at Kramer's passionate face, he felt both amused and touched.

Although there was a conflict of interest involved, it did not diminish his gratitude towards his senior and the Muran Book Company.

"Senior Kramer, can you calm down a little?" Sean said with a smile. "I only wrote about my own experiences and observations, it's not as you're saying..."

Before he could finish speaking, Kramer impatiently interrupted him, his emotions running high.

"Sean, you're too modest!" Kramer waved his arms enthusiastically, emphasizing his point. "Your work is far more than just a collection of personal experiences; it presents readers with an unprecedented magical world! This unique perspective is irreplaceable, possessing not only extraordinary literary value but also enormous market potential!"

Kramer was even more excited than the author himself when it came to Sean's work.

He began to ramble on about obscure and difficult-to-understand things, such as the death of literature and the supremacy of entertainment.

When Sean realized he wouldn't be able to leave for a while, he thoughtfully poured Kramer a cup of honey lemon tea and handed it to him.

In the past few days, he has researched a new ratio of honey, lemon, and tea, which has improved the taste to another level.

The topic was about to end when Kramer said there was no hope left for literature.

To avoid being labeled the savior of "wizard literature," Sean steered the conversation back to the topic for the second time.

When will the interview take place?

"Look at my memory, I'd completely forgotten if you hadn't mentioned it." Kramer slapped his forehead in regret. "The interview is scheduled for this week, what do you think?"

Sean nodded slightly. "I'm fine this week."

He secretly breathed a sigh of relief; at least now he no longer had to face those overly heavy praises and expectations.

However... he suddenly remembered something very important.

"By the way, who is the reporter who's going to do an exclusive interview with me?" Sean asked casually.

Kramer replied nonchalantly, "Rita Skeeter, I don't know if you've ever heard of that name..."
