Hogwarts: The Witch Education Handbook
Chapter 7 The Cunning Bokin
"Narcissus root powder, mugwort, valerian root, and sleeping beans." A hunched-over man behind the counter muttered, examining the parchment in his hand. "These are the ingredients for the 'Potion of Life and Death' (the 'Living Hell' potion)..."
"Fire-ash snake eggs? Their uses as potion ingredients are rather limited..."
"You want to make... an aphrodisiac?" Before the black-robed man in front of him could say anything, the hunchbacked man, without even raising his head, continued, "And the grass worm and the sap-producing grass stem... If I'm not mistaken, you want to make Felicis, right? That's not a potion that an ordinary wizard can make..."
After saying all that, the hunchbacked man finally turned his gaze to the young man in front of him.
Dressed in a black robe, judging from his voice and physique, he should be a young man in his 20s or 30s, wealthy, and seemingly from a pure-blooded family... These experiences and conclusions are the skills he has accumulated over the years of running his shop.
He used this experience to distinguish who he could mess with and who he couldn't...
The man in the black robe was Sean.
His face, hidden beneath the black mask, was already ashen.
He didn't expect that even if he scrambled all the potion ingredients on the list and added many ingredients similar to the recipe to deceive others, the other party would still be able to easily guess what kind of potion he wanted to make.
It seems that his experience is not as sophisticated as the other party's.
After all, the other party was the famous Mr. Borkin in Knockturn Alley—the owner of Borkin Burke Antique Shop. Voldemort had worked for him back in the day, and his sharp eyes were undeniably keen.
"Stop talking nonsense. When did Borgins Shops start cooperating with the Ministry of Magic? Why are you meddling in our business?" Sean said in an unfriendly tone.
Seeing that the customer in front of him was about to get angry, Mr. Bokin was not annoyed.
"I apologize, esteemed sir, please forgive my rudeness," Mr. Borgin said in his slick, oily voice, "There are very few Potions Masters as young and knowledgeable as you, so I need to confirm with you again."
"If you hand over any excess potions you've made to our shop for recycling, you'll get a 20% discount on all your future potion material costs..."
20% off?
It sounds a bit low, but it's actually a very reasonable price.
Sean Guang spent over three figures in Galleons on this purchase of potion ingredients.
Little by little, you can save a lot of money.
Just to appear more composed, Sean paused for a moment before slowly nodding, "Okay."
Mr. Bokin bowed deeply and said, "I wish us a pleasant cooperation."
After saying that, Mr. Bokin left the counter and went to the back warehouse.
It will take some time to gather all these materials.
So, taking advantage of this time, Sean wandered around the store aimlessly, trying to find some "good stuff".
He saw a withered human hand, a stack of bloodstained playing cards, and a lifeless glass eyeball on a mat in a glass box next to him.
A hideous mask looms down on the wall, various human bones are displayed on the counter, and rusty, tooth-like instruments hang from the ceiling.
There was also a magnificent opal necklace with a plaque that read: "Warning: Do not touch. It has been cursed—it has already taken the lives of nineteen Muggles."
It seems...it appears...probably...there's nothing that a "highly respected" Hogwarts professor in his reserve could possibly need.
If I bring these into Hogwarts... and if Dumbledore finds out, I'll definitely be... sent to Azkaban, right?
Sean thought to himself, somewhat uncertainly.
As he circled the small shop for the fifth time, Bojin finally hurried back to the counter carrying a sack.
"Please take a look at the inventory." Bokin handed the heavy sack to Sean.
"Do you have a leather case with the Seamless Stretch Charm?" Sean didn't reach out to take it, but instead asked.
"Yes, yes." Mr. Bokin nodded hurriedly, pretending to suddenly realize something, and pulled an old black leather briefcase from under the shop counter. He then stuffed the sack into the briefcase. "Look at my memory, a customer like you..."
Sean cut Mr. Bokin off on his lengthy pleasantries: "How much is it in total?"
"I'll accept 230 Galleons, exactly 200."
Without haggling, Sean simply took out the corresponding number of Galleons from his purse and placed them on the counter.
When he got home.
It was already afternoon.
Sean slowly walked down into the dark basement and found Bella still in the same position he had been in when he left.
She lay quietly and peacefully on the floor, her eyes closed, a faint smile on her lips.
I don't know what a wonderful dream I had.
Sean conjured a bucket of ice water and poured it over Bella.
Cold water cascaded down like a waterfall, instantly soaking Bella's body and face. Bella shivered violently, and her once serene face now showed some surprise and confusion.
She opened her eyes, sat up, and looked at Sean in front of her with a hint of anger in her expression.
Sean, however, was observing Bella with great interest.
Her clothes were completely soaked, clinging to her graceful figure and revealing patches of white skin, which accentuated her rather voluptuous figure.
Her wet hair clung messily to her cheeks and neck, water droplets slowly sliding down the ends, gathering like peaks flowing into valleys, adding an indescribable charm.
Noticing Sean's gaze, Bella opened her mouth slightly, as if she wanted to say something, but was choked by the sudden cold water and couldn't speak.
So she wiped the water from her face, her dark eyes almost solidifying her anger: "You rescued me, what do you want?"
"Trying to toy with me?" Bella continued through gritted teeth. "Then you've succeeded."
Bella emphasized every word, each one conveying deep resentment and anger, as if she wanted to pour out all her grievances.
"Toying with you?" Sean glanced at Bella's alluring body. Although he enjoyed the taste of mature women, he couldn't let his enemy's morale rise and his own spirit be dampened at this moment.
So, he feigned disdain and said, "You? You're over thirty years old, aren't you ashamed to say something like that? Don't you even look at yourself? What do you have to compare with those young people..."
Upon hearing this, Bella was taken aback at first, and then she laughed.
Sean's mouth can lie, but his body seems to disagree.
She clearly saw that Sean's Guan Yu had already raised his Green Dragon Crescent Blade, looking ready to pounce.
"That's it?" Bella licked her slightly dry lips.
