Struggling to survive at Hogwarts
Chapter 48 Trip to the Forbidden Forest
And so, when Draco, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, the four young wizards, arrived at the castle gate one after the other, panting, they were met by Professor Snape, whose face was grim.
"Draco, I don't remember when recklessness became one of Slytherin's traits," Snape said sarcastically, drawing out his words as he looked at the little snake in front of him.
This was the first time Draco had been ridiculed by his beloved headmaster, and his eyes involuntarily reddened. Knowing he was in the wrong, he sincerely apologized:
"...I'm sorry, Professor..."
Before Draco could finish speaking, Snape turned the gun on Harry, who was trying not to laugh.
“Mr. Harry Potter, do you think that mocking others will make your behavior seem more righteous?” Snape said grimly.
"Three wizards from Glenfield went out at night. Glenfield will be penalized 30 points and confined for a week. Draco will be confined for two weeks for his stupidity!"
Upon hearing his punishment, Draco almost couldn't hold back his tears.
Only after the young wizards were sprayed with his venom and covered in wounds did Snape finally lead them back to the castle, satisfied.
Harry and his friends were hoping that Professor McGonagall might come to their rescue, but they were disappointed.
Professor McGonagall received the news quickly and rushed over. With a stern face, she glared at the three lion cubs before turning to Professor Snape: "Severus, their confinement..."
“Professor McGonagall,” Professor Snape interrupted her, “I wish to administer this confinement.”
Professor McGonagall glanced at the two anxious students, took a deep breath, and said, "I understand. Thank you for your help."
Harry, Meghan, and Harry were startled by the look in Professor McGonagall's eyes as she left, and at the same time, they were worried about their upcoming solitary confinement.
Because Snape was in a bad mood, he walked faster, and the four young wizards behind him had to jog to keep up with him.
Soon, the group arrived at Snape's office.
As soon as the door opened, the four young wizards stared intently at Thea, who looked utterly disheveled in the office:
Thea was wearing an ill-fitting dragon-skin protective suit, the dried blood on which had congealed into a rusty color and emitted a strong smell of blood.
Thea heard footsteps outside the door and looked up in confusion. The number of people seemed off...
Looking at the professor's gloomy face, Thea tentatively began, "Professor Snape...who are they...?"
"Because of their foolish behavior, they will be placed in solitary confinement, and I will be in charge of that!"
"Potter! Weasley! Come and deal with this bucket of toads!"
"Draco! You finish dealing with the slugs that Black didn't get rid of!"
"Granger! You and Black brew the potion together. I need 10 doses of sneeze potion by tomorrow morning!"
Since you don't want to sleep, then let's deal with these potion ingredients.
Harry was somewhat relieved after hearing Snape's punishment; at least they weren't each made to deal with a bucket of toads!
Then his gaze shifted to Thea. He, Ron, Hermione, and Draco were there because of the night out, but why was Thea there?
Harry thought this, and then he asked it aloud. (That's just how stubborn the little lion is!)
Snape stared intently at Harry, then said in a slightly raised tone, "You should be thankful that if Miss Black hadn't come to inform me, you would probably be dried up by the dark creatures of the Forbidden Forest by now!"
"Given that Miss Blake hasn't managed her brother properly, let's both be locked up!"
"Professor! This is not fair!" Draco had been wondering why Thea was there, but now he realized that it was because of him that Thea was put in solitary confinement!
"Yes, Professor, Thea didn't go out at night, so why is she being put in solitary confinement!" This was an angry Harry.
Harry was initially a little angry that Thea had come to inform the professor, but then he realized that she was worried about Draco, and that he himself had also done something wrong.
Perhaps Thea was also implicated because of her own actions, after all, Snape had always disliked her!
Harry's sense of justice erupted, and he decided to join Draco in rebelling against Snape!
But their resistance was easily suppressed by Snape: "So, you want your confinement extended until the end of the term?"
Seeing the two angry young wizards in front of her, Thea quietly tugged at their sleeves from behind.
He then said, "I'm sorry, Professor, they were just a little surprised; they didn't mean to question you at all."
"Let's go deal with the potion!" With that, Thea grabbed the two of them and walked to the side.
Snape narrowed his eyes, then went to the desk, pulled out a book from the bookshelf, and began to read.
Since Snape's confinement was always at night, the next day, several young wizards came to Snape's office again.
To their surprise, Hagrid was in charge of the detention tonight!
This news instantly cheered up Harry and his friends.
Filch was the one who told them the news. Seeing the delighted look on Harry's face, he poured cold water on it, saying, "You don't actually think you're going to have a good time with that idiot, do you? Think about it again, kid. You're going to the Forbidden Forest!"
There are countless dark creatures in there; otherwise, why would you call it the Forbidden Forest?
Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Malfoy turned deathly pale, but Thea remained composed and politely asked, "Mr. Filch, what are we going to do tonight?"
“…Well…I’m not sure either. It was mainly Hagrid who arranged things for you.” Filch was a little uncomfortable with the young wizard’s polite attitude towards him.
Thea nodded obediently, indicating that she understood.
Before long, they reached the edge of the Forbidden Forest, where Hagrid's enormous body and his pitifully small lantern stood out starkly in the darkness.
“It’s about time,” Hagrid said. “I’ve been waiting for half an hour. How about it, Harry, Hermione, and Ron?”
Before Harry and the others could speak, Filch said coldly, "Hagrid, they are here to be punished."
Hagrid frowned, somewhat displeased, and said, "Your mission is complete. From now on, they are under my command."
Filch was also somewhat displeased, and turned around, picked up the oil lamp, and stormed off.
Seeing Filch leave, Hagrid clapped his hands to get the children's attention and said, "Now listen carefully, what we're going to do tonight is very dangerous, and I don't want anyone to be in danger. Come with me here first."
Hagrid led the group to the edge of the Forbidden Forest, held up his lantern high, and pointed to a path that gradually led into the depths of the forest, saying:
“Look over there, do you see that glittering thing on the ground? That’s unicorn blood.”
A unicorn in the Forbidden Forest was badly injured by something.
This is the second time this has happened in a week.
We need to find that poor unicorn and relieve it of its suffering.
The young wizards were a little scared and looked at each other in bewilderment.
Thea stared intently at the pool of blood, her eyes darkening.
