Struggling to survive at Hogwarts
Chapter 47 Losing Both Wife and Army
The Christmas holidays came to a quick end, and the Hogwarts train once again rumbled back to school life for the young wizards.
Ever since Dumbledore took Thea to see the Mirror of Erised, Thea wasn't overly fixated on everything she saw in the mirror that day, but she was still somewhat downcast.
The mirror that day was more like a fuse, igniting the panic hidden in Thea's heart. Since transmigrating, she had been forcing herself to adapt to this seemingly familiar but actually unfamiliar world in order to fill the insecurity in her heart.
Draco's holiday was not very good; he spent a traditional Malfoy Christmas—spending a lot of time on boring parties of costumes, satire, and ostentation.
Although he understood that this was his responsibility as a Malfoy, he was still unhappy, which made him start to wonder about Thea's life at school.
During the short holiday, even though Draco wanted to write to Thea every day to complain about those pretentious adults, Thea's replies made Draco keenly aware that she was not paying attention.
"Did someone bully her?"
"Is she having some trouble?"
"Does she regret not going home?"
Countless questions swirled in Draco's mind, but he resisted the urge to ask Thea directly in the letter and chose to ask her in person.
However, Draco was greatly disappointed by Kassia's answer: "I haven't encountered any difficulties. Maybe I'm just a little tired these past few days and can't muster any energy."
Seeing that Thea's expression was normal, Draco's unease grew stronger.
Ultimately, Draco gave up on directly questioning Thea and instead turned his attention to the unusually active Harry Potter!
Speaking of Grandis,
On her first day back at school, Hermione had a heartfelt conversation with Harry and Ron, her anger having mostly dissipated during the holidays.
After much persuasion from Hermione, Ron finally agreed to go with her to find that evil Slytherin!
Seeing Ron agree, Harry breathed a sigh of relief; he had been wanting to talk to Thea for a long time.
Just as the trio was about to go find Thea, Thea wrote a letter to Hermione.
The letter not only summarized Thea's complete understanding of Nicholas Lemaître, but also specifically noted the source of the books.
Furthermore, at the end of the letter, he thoughtfully expressed that he understood Gryffindor's consistent prejudice against Slytherin and was no longer fixated on the sincerity of the three of them.
The trio passed around Thea's letter, and Ron's face flushed red again as he looked at the neat handwriting on the letter.
Hermione received the book list from Thea and rushed to the library as if it were a treasure. Harry looked at Ron's flushed face, hesitated, and patted him on the back.
For the next two days, the trio spent time in the library, hoping to uncover Snape's hidden conspiracy!
Since Harry discovered Snape warning the usually honest Professor Quirrell during his last nighttime stroll, the three righteous little lions now consider Snape to be the biggest threat to Hogwarts.
Knowing that Hagrid had written to them, they invited the three groups to visit his cabin.
The three of them readily agreed and headed excitedly toward the cabin.
Such a big move by the trio naturally attracted the attention of Draco, who had been keeping an eye on them.
Seeing the three heading towards the Forbidden Forest, Draco chose to follow them even though curfew was approaching.
"I must uncover their conspiracy!" Draco thought excitedly.
Thea was sitting on the sofa doing her homework when she caught a glimpse of Draco and Goyle whispering something to each other before rushing out excitedly.
Thea put down her pen, calculated the time, and realized that it should be time for the next plot point!
Thea knew what Draco was going out to do, but she didn't say anything. She looked down at her paper assignment and figured she'd finish it before going out to see Draco.
Thea happily made her decision!
Draco never expected that Gryffindor would be so audacious!
That big guy actually kept a dragon as a pet!
No wonder he went to the library before! And he was acting so suspiciously!
My family doesn't keep dragons!
Why?! Why?!
Jealousy made the young master's face ugly, thus lowering his guard.
"Someone's spying on us outside!" Harry exclaimed.
"Oh no! It's Malfoy!" Ron quickly recognized the person outside by his distinctive platinum blonde hair.
"He might go and tell the professor! That we went out at night!" Hermione thought of this worst-case scenario and turned pale with fright.
Harry and Ron realized what was happening, and the three of them said goodbye to Hagrid before hurrying towards the castle.
Thea had finished her paper. She stood up casually, looked around, and asked knowingly, "Where are the Dracos? Weren't they just here?"
Given Thea's prestige in Slytherin, soon young wizards began reporting to her all at once.
"What? Draco hasn't come back yet?" Thea's face showed just the right amount of confusion.
She took two seemingly anxious steps in place, then turned to the crowd and said, "Thank you all for your help. I think Draco might be in trouble. I need to go find him. You all stay in the lounge."
After saying that, Thea refused the others' company and walked alone towards... the dean's office.
Since her classmate hadn't returned to the dormitory and was likely in trouble, Thea, as an ordinary first-year wizard, naturally had to ask the professor for help!
The office door swung open from the inside, revealing Snape's dark face: "If you don't have anything urgent to say..."
Thea met Snape's gaze, which seemed to wish she could be chopped up and used as potion ingredients, and simply reported, "Draco went out alone half an hour ago and hasn't returned yet. Curfew is about to start, and I'm worried he's run into some trouble."
A classmate told me that he followed... Mr. Potter and his group out, and they were both heading in the same direction, towards the Forbidden Forest.
Thea keenly noticed that Snape's eyes had changed ever since she mentioned Harry's name. If he had wanted to cut her up and turn her into potion ingredients just now, he now wanted to cut both her and Harry up and turn them into potions!
Snape had a terrible headache! A splitting headache!
He knew it! Ever since this troublemaker came to Slytherin, he hadn't had a single good night's sleep!
Last time, it was because she said she wasn't feeling well during her flight lesson that Dumbledore took her to his office and lectured her for a long time.
This time it's because Draco hasn't come back, and I have to go out and look for him again!
“Miss Black, since you are Draco’s sister, I expect you to quietly finish dealing with that bucket of potion ingredients in my office before Draco and I return.”
Snape knew he was taking his anger out on others, but he just couldn't swallow it!
Why should I have to work three jobs for the same bee when we all get the same salary?
