Struggling to survive at Hogwarts

"What did you say?!" Ron was shocked by the truth told by his two friends. He stared wide-eyed and asked in a terrified voice.

Harry was a little exasperated, but he explained again: "The reason Neville only twisted his ankle when he fell off the broom that day was because Thea saved him. Hermione and I saw it with our own eyes."

Seeing that his good friend wasn't joking, Ron turned to look at Hermione.

Hermione, however, had no intention of trying to persuade Ron any further. She frowned and said, "Alright, if you two don't mind, I'm going to sleep. Otherwise, neither of you should come up with any good ideas to kill us, or worse—fire us."

After saying that, the little witch turned and left.

Harry and Ron looked at each other for a while, then returned to their dorm room.

The three who left did not notice that someone was lying on the sofa in the lounge with their back to them.

Thea recently discovered that the trio's attitude towards her seemed somewhat complicated.

Harry always seemed to want to talk to Thea, but Thea was always surrounded by a group of Slytherins.

Ron, too, always looked at Thea with a hint of doubt and disbelief in his eyes.

Looking back, it seems that Hermione and Thea are the closest among the trio. Ever since Thea solved a problem that had been bothering Hermione in the library, the two have been sitting together in the library to study from time to time.

Draco and the others naturally knew that Hermione and Thea had a good relationship, but given Pansy's experience, they could only go along with Thea's wishes.

Thea then realized that Halloween had arrived.

Thinking about what would happen at the dinner tonight, Thea looked at the taciturn Professor Quirrell in the faculty seat, lowered her eyes slightly, and hoped that Professor Quirrell would act according to plan tonight.

Draco noticed Thea looking at Professor Quirrell and casually asked, "What's wrong with Professor Quirrell now? Is he calling you to his office again?"

Under everyone's gaze, Thea could only smile and explain, "I just remembered that I made a mistake on a point in my Defense Against the Dark Arts paper, so I subconsciously glanced at Professor Quirrell. He hasn't let me into his office for the past few days."

Upon hearing Thea's explanation, the sympathy in the eyes of her friends instantly turned into admiration, and even the little wizard at the Ravenclaw table nearby changed his expression.

Hmm, today is another day of wondering why Thea didn't go to Ravenclaw.

Thea was also puzzled by Professor Quirrell's attitude towards her, knowing that Voldemort was currently on the back of Professor Quirrell's head.

She had considered whether she should completely side with Dumbledore and take the opportunity to kill Voldemort.

But this idea only flashed through her mind for a moment before Thea completely dismissed it. Voldemort was still alive, at least that's what Dumbledore and the other pure-blood families thought, which is why Thea was able to develop stealthily amidst the various forces at play.

If Thea ever can't make it here, at least she can seek refuge with Voldemort and at least survive.

Based on Thea's understanding of Voldemort, and given his arrogant and cautious personality, he would never reveal his situation to Thea, his "daughter" who had been raised by a pure-blood family since childhood.

Because once Thea finds out, it means that the pure-blood family, or Dumbledore, will know that Voldemort would never take such a risk.

Thinking of this, Thea looked at Professor Quirrell with even more respect. Anyway, she probably didn't know that Voldemort was on the back of Quirrell's head, so she didn't need to do anything. She just had to watch the plot unfold and take advantage of the chaos.

The Halloween dinner began amidst everyone's anticipation.

Thea glanced over at Gryffindor and found that Hermione was indeed not there, while Harry and Ron seemed to have had an argument, and Ron looked somewhat guilty.

Thea's eyes flickered slightly; the story was about to begin.

Thea turned her head to look at Draco and saw that he was idly cutting the steak on his plate.

Thea frowned slightly but didn't say anything. Instead, she pushed the lamb chops she had already cut in front of Draco and suggested, "The lamb chops tonight are good. I think you'll like them."

Upon hearing this, Draco immediately threw away his bad mood and began to happily enjoy the lamb chops that Thea had cut.

When Thea saw that her friends had taken all the lamb chops from the area around them, she smiled with satisfaction.

Before Quirrell ruins the dinner, these little wizards should eat more; they're still growing.

When the banquet was almost halfway through, Thea's eyes lit up as she saw Professor Quirrell, wearing a loose robe and with a tattered cloth wrapped around his head, stumble in through the door.

"Troll!" he screamed as soon as he entered the hall.

"A troll! It's appeared in the basement..."

Before he could finish speaking, Professor Quirrell collapsed in the middle of the table, his face filled with terror.

Thea sighed slightly as she watched Professor Quirrell fall face-first to the ground. Professor Quirrell was still somewhat loyal, but his mind wasn't very sharp.

"Ah—ah—ah—" No one knows who started screaming first, but the restaurant was immediately thrown into chaos, and Thea was also given a headache by the noise.

Fortunately, the chaos did not last long.

Professor Dumbledore used his wand to create several ear-piercing firework explosions above everyone's heads before they quieted down.

"Prefects," Dumbledore called out, "take your students to their dormitories immediately! All professors, follow me!"

Dumbledore was undoubtedly very authoritative.

Upon hearing this, the young wizards, who had been in a panic, immediately regained their composure, stopped screaming, and obediently followed their prefects, leaving the Great Hall in an orderly fashion and heading to their dormitories.
