Struggling to survive at Hogwarts
Chapter 28 The Owl's Letter
"Knock, knock, knock."
The sound of a sharp object tapping on the window caught Thea's attention. When Thea looked up, she saw a snow-white owl that had landed at the window with a letter in its beak and was tapping on the glass.
"My acceptance letter must have arrived..." Thea thought to herself as she opened the window to let the owl fly in.
Thea handed it a large handful of owl food and then took the envelope to the table.
Thea examined the thick envelope; her name and address were written on the back in emerald green ink.
The envelope has a wax seal on the front, a shield emblem, and a lion, a snake, an eagle, and a badger surrounding a capital H.
Thea knew this was her Hogwarts acceptance letter. She didn't open it immediately, but looked up at the pumpkin clock on the wall and calculated that her Uncle Lucius and Aunt Narcissa should both be in the living room.
She checked her clothes again to make sure there was nothing wrong with them before slowly pushing open the door and walking down the stairs.
Narcissa was the first to spot Thea. Looking at the girl's increasingly radiant beauty, Narcissa was momentarily stunned, but quickly recovered: "Thea's down! Come here quickly!"
Before Thea could reply, a cheerful voice rang out: "Thea! My acceptance letter has arrived!"
Draco didn't realize his parents were sitting on the sofa watching him until he finished speaking. His face suddenly turned red, and he greeted them in his usual tone, "Good morning, Dad and Mom."
Lucius glanced at his silly son and said slowly, "Draco, mind your manners."
“Yes, Father,” Draco replied somewhat perfunctorily.
Just as Lucius was about to continue his lecture, Thea spoke first: "Good morning, Uncle Lucius and Aunt Narcissa."
Lucius's anger subsided after being interrupted by Thea.
After watching the whole show, Narcissa beckoned for Thea and Draco to open the letter together. Narcissa had just noticed that Thea was holding a letter.
Thea and Draco then began to open the letters.
"Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry: Albus Dumbledore (President of the International Magical Union, President of the Wizarding Association, First Class Wizard of the Order of Merlin)."
Dear Miss Blake:
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Enclosed is a list of required books and equipment. The term begins on September 1st. We look forward to your reply by owl by July 31st.
Vice Principal (female) Minerva McGonagall
Yours sincerely"
Thea read the letter word for word, then turned to the purchase catalog [Uniforms] at the back.

Students may bring an owl, a cat, or a toad.
Parents are especially reminded that first-grade students are not allowed to bring their own flying brooms.
When Draco saw the last message, the smile on his face vanished instantly, and he couldn't help but complain to Narcissa, "Mama, why is Hogwarts like this? Why won't they let us bring flying brooms..."
Narcissa, seeing Draco start rambling on again, immediately feigned a headache, trying to avoid the power of her son's words.
Narcissa was also quite strange. Neither she nor Lucius were talkative people, so how come their son was such a chatterbox?
Seeing her son turn the gun on Thea, Narcissa breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing Thea's patience with her son, Narcissa once again considered switching her daughter.
"Then I'll go to Diagon Alley with you next Saturday."
Regarding the timing of purchasing school supplies, Lucius made the final decision, deciding that the two of them would go to Diagon Alley together next Thursday.
The four of them then enjoyed breakfast together. Draco had already run off to play, leaving only the three adults in the living room.
“Uncle Lucius, the owls seem to be arriving later this year than usual. Do you know why?” Thea asked first.
Lucius did know the reason, and said carefully, "This year is also the day that 'savior' enrolled, but I heard that there was a little accident over there, and all the Hogwarts owls went to deliver messages to him first."
As Lucius spoke, he observed Thea's expression, all the while praying he wouldn't make a mistake...
“The Savior… Harry Potter?” Thea murmured to herself.
Seeing that the atmosphere was a bit awkward, Narcissa asked Thea with concern, "Thea, have you been feeling unwell these past few days? Have you been having nightmares?"
"No, Aunt Cici, I haven't had nightmares in a long time," Thea said obediently.
Narcissa held Thea's hand, carefully examined Thea's face, and couldn't help but complain, "Luke, I told you not to give Thea so many books all at once, she's still young."
Lucius met their gazes, feeling immense pressure, and could only assure them, "Cissy, don't worry, I will definitely control Thea's reading time recently."
Thea assured her, "Don't worry, Aunt Thea. I just read a really interesting book yesterday and accidentally forgot the time. I promise I'll be more careful about the time in the future."
Narcissa didn't press Thea about what book she was reading, but simply reminded her again, "Reading is a good thing, but be mindful of the time."
Thea nodded repeatedly in agreement.
Then the two went to the garden together, intending to pick some flowers themselves.
Lucius only breathed a sigh of relief after the two left the living room, silently marveling: Ever since his ancestor instructed him to do his utmost to nurture Thea, Thea's aura has grown stronger and stronger.
With the Malfoy family's guidance and Thea's own talent, Thea has already read through most of the Malfoy family's books. She will study the important ones carefully and get a general idea of the less important ones.
However, because Thea was still young, Lucius did not allow Thea to come into contact with dark magic too early. Thea understood Lucius's arrangement and only focused on learning the theoretical knowledge of white magic.
