From cannon fodder villain to superpowered queen

Chapter 15 Breaking Through the Siege and Embarking on a New Journey, the Road Ahead is Full of Hope

The air inside the cave was as stuffy as solidified glue, making it hard to breathe.

Bi Yao and Jiang Ruiyuan huddled in a corner, their stomachs rumbling like an empty city.

The dry biscuits were long gone, and even the water sacs were deflated like punctured balloons.

"Are the Jiang family members born in the Year of the Dog? Their noses are so sensitive!" Bi Yao scratched her hair in frustration, feeling like she was about to pick off all the dandruff.

Jiang Ruiyuan smiled bitterly: "They're determined to take us back." The long period of fleeing had left his once handsome face looking tired.

The shouts outside came and went, striking their nerves like a death knell.

The only exit from the cave was completely blocked, leaving them trapped like turtles in a jar, unable to escape.

"Are we really going to be trapped here and die?" Bi Yao's voice trembled, not from fear, but from despair.

Jiang Ruiyuan held her hand, offering her some comfort: "Don't be afraid, Yao Yao, we'll think of a way." However, he himself wasn't sure either.

Time ticked by, and hope was gradually worn away.

Just when the two were about to give up, Bi Yao's eyes suddenly lit up, and a bold idea popped into her mind.

“Ruiyuan,” she lowered her voice, a hint of cunning in it, “we’ll do the opposite!”

Jiang Ruiyuan looked puzzled: "What do you mean?"

"Listen to me..." Bi Yao whispered her plan into his ear.

A moment later, a panicked cry suddenly came from inside the cave: "Help! There's... there's..." The voice was broken and trembling, as if the person had encountered something terrifying.

Immediately afterwards, a series of clattering sounds rang out, as if something was struggling frantically inside the cave.

The pursuers outside were taken aback when they heard the commotion, and then looked at each other in bewilderment.

"What's going on? Is there some danger inside the cave?"

"Who cares! We'll just go in and see for ourselves!"

Unable to contain their curiosity, the pursuers rushed into the cave, torches in hand...

"Yaoyao, they're coming in!" Jiang Ruiyuan's voice was tinged with excitement.

Bi Yao's lips curled into a cold smile: "The show is about to begin..."

The pursuers swarmed into the cave like moths to a flame.

The cramped space limited their numerical advantage, turning it into Bi Yao and Jiang Ruiyuan's home turf.

"Come on, little ones!" Bi Yao picked up a tree branch, twirled it with a flourish, her movements clean and swift, displaying a touch of the dashing spirit of a chivalrous woman from the martial arts world.

She spotted a burly man and struck him on the knee with a stick.

"Serves you right for being so cocky! Serves you right for blocking the door! Serves you right for yelling!"

"Ah!" The man screamed in pain, clutching his knees and collapsing to his knees.

Jiang Ruiyuan was not idle either. He used both fists and feet to defeat his enemies. After a few rounds, a group of pursuing soldiers lay on the ground groaning in pain.

He was agile, like a cheetah, moving with ease in confined spaces.

"Yao Yao, watch out!" Jiang Ruiyuan reacted quickly, pulling Bi Yao behind him and shielding her from a sneak attack.

"Thanks!" Bi Yao smiled sweetly at him, then swept her leg and knocked the guy who had attacked her to the ground.

"Trying to ambush me? Don't you even know who I am!"

The two worked together seamlessly, like flowing water, making their pursuers cry out in despair.

The cave echoed with screams, curses, and Bi Yao's occasional grumbling, making it as lively as a market.

"Is that all? With this level of skill, you dare to chase us? Go home and raise pigs!" Bi Yao stomped on the chest of one of the pursuers, her tone arrogant.

"Yaoyao, stop playing around and finish this quickly!" Jiang Ruiyuan reminded her.

"Okay, okay!" Bi Yao stuck out her tongue, then her eyes sharpened, and the tree branch in her hand turned into a blur, taking down all the remaining pursuers.

Looking at the "corpses" scattered on the ground, Bi Yao clapped her hands, looking relaxed: "Done! Job done!"

Jiang Ruiyuan looked at her, a hint of a smile flashing in his eyes: "You really are..."

Bi Yao raised an eyebrow: "Really... what?"

Jiang Ruiyuan leaned close to her ear and whispered, "You really are my little vixen."

Bi Yao blushed slightly and lightly punched him: "You're so annoying!"

Suddenly, a cry of alarm came from the cave entrance: "Oh no! They're getting away!"

Bi Yao and Jiang Ruiyuan exchanged a glance, and a sly smile appeared on their lips at the same time.

"go!"

Bi Yao and Jiang Ruiyuan burst out of the cave like two wild horses.

The pursuers outside, who had been looking like wilted eggplants, were startled when they saw them come out and almost staged a "collective staged accident".

"Holy crap! They've come back to life!" one of the pursuers exclaimed, his voice cracking as he pointed at them.

"You're kidding me!" Bi Yao rolled her eyes, grabbed a stone from the side and threw it, hitting the guy right on the forehead.

"I'll give you a bad mouth!"

Jiang Ruiyuan didn't hold back. He charged into the crowd, attacking with both hands and feet, like he was in Musou mode, beating the remaining pursuers to a pulp.

"Stop fighting! Stop fighting! We surrender!" The pursuers cried out and fled in panic.

"Now you know to beg for mercy? Too late!" Bi Yao sneered, exchanged a glance with Jiang Ruiyuan, and the two walked tacitly toward the horses tied to the tree.

“This horse is good, it’s mine!” Bi Yao patted one of the chestnut horses and nimbly mounted it.

Jiang Ruiyuan also chose a black steed, mounted it, and said to Bi Yao, "Yao Yao, hold on tight!"

"Don't worry, experienced driver!" Bi Yao winked playfully.

The two men spurred their horses on, raising a cloud of dust and leaving behind a group of pursuers with bruised faces and constant groans.

"drive!"

The sound of horses' hooves faded into the distance, disappearing into the vast night.

Bi Yao and Jiang Ruiyuan's figures became increasingly blurry and eventually disappeared.

The air of freedom is wonderful!

“Ruiyuan…” Bi Yao’s voice drifted away in the wind.

"Where to?" Jiang Ruiyuan looked down at the circled locations on the map in his arms, a complex light flashing in his eyes.
