Reborn Fairy Wife Takes Me on a Gaggle-Fire rampage
Chapter 145 The Feeling of Flying
"Little Black, why do you always seem to be so fond of this rooftop?" Wen Shu gently stroked Little Black's glossy black fur, her eyes filled with curiosity and concern.
Little Black squinted its eyes slightly, enjoying the gentle touch, and lazily replied, "The higher you stand, the farther you can see." Its small body stood on the edge of the roof, facing the breeze, looking particularly comfortable.
Wen Shu couldn't help but worry and asked softly, "Isn't it dangerous for you to do this? What if you accidentally fall?"
Xiao Hei turned its head, blinked, and said proudly, "I am Gu Yue, what is this height?" Its words revealed an innate confidence.
Hearing this, Wen Shu became even more curious and quickly asked, "Then in your opinion, how long will it take before you can transform into human form?" She looked at Xiao Hei with anticipation, as if she could see the future form in it.
Little Black tilted its head and thought for a moment, then answered uncertainly, "It will probably take another three to five years." After saying that, it shook its fur, seemingly not caring much about the time.
Wen Shu nodded and encouraged, "Then you must concentrate on your cultivation and strive to achieve your wish as soon as possible!"
Suddenly, Xiao Hei asked excitedly, "Have you ever thought about flying up to the clouds and taking a look?"
Wen Shu was startled by its words and quickly waved her hand, saying, "Then...then I can't do that!"
Seeing this, Xiao Hei patted his chest and assured him, "Don't worry, I'm here! How about I take you for a spin? Let's experience the feeling of flying."
Wen Shu's eyes widened in disbelief as she asked, "How are you going to take me flying?"
Xiao Hei smiled mysteriously and explained, "Come with me to the attic first. It's quieter there, and no one will bother you. I need to transform, so let's find a secluded place so I don't scare anyone again."
Wen Shu hesitated for a moment, but ultimately couldn't resist her curiosity and impulse, and replied, "Okay." So, she carefully followed Xiao Hei to the attic.
Just then, an astonishing scene unfolded! The originally small and delicate little black creature began to expand rapidly at a visible speed. In the blink of an eye, it transformed into a colossal beast, its enormous form resembling a small mountain.
Xiao Hei turned its head to look at Wen Shu, gently swaying its broad back, gesturing for her to sit on it. Wen Shu hesitated for a moment, but still carefully climbed onto Xiao Hei's back, tightly gripping its hard, iron-like scales.
After Wen Shu was settled, Xiao Hei's deep and steady voice rang out: "Hold on tight, we're about to set off!" Before the words were even finished, it shot off like an arrow straight toward the open window of the attic.
With a whoosh, Little Black, carrying Wen Shu, flew out of the window and into the vast sky.
Xiao Hei carried Wen Shu as they slowly flew upwards. As they climbed higher, they gradually passed through layers of clouds and finally arrived above the clouds.
After scanning the area with its sharp eyes, Xiao Hei selected an enormous cloud. This cloud was as white as snow, resembling a giant cotton castle floating in the air. Xiao Hei gently landed on the cloud, then carefully helped Wen Shu sit down as well.
Wen Shu looked around curiously, savoring the wondrous high-altitude environment. She slowly lay down on a cloud, the soft touch feeling like lying on the most comfortable bed. However, her brow furrowed slightly, and she turned to Xiao Hei beside her, saying, "Xiao Hei, although I've mastered the skill of teleportation, I still can't learn to fly. When I watched those TV dramas before, many cultivators achieved flight by riding flying swords; it looked so cool!"
Upon hearing this, Xiao Hei blinked its large, bright, jewel-like eyes and comforted Wen Shu with concern: "Wen Shu, perhaps it's just that the time isn't quite right yet. You must understand, our long path of cultivation is never smooth sailing! It requires us to have ample patience and unwavering perseverance, to explore and comprehend its mysteries little by little. So, as long as you can persevere and study diligently, I firmly believe that one day, when the most opportune moment arrives, you will surely master the skill of flight naturally!" As soon as it finished speaking, Xiao Hei gently nuzzled its little head against Wen Shu's rosy cheek, as if conveying a continuous stream of encouragement to her through this affectionate gesture.
Just then, an airplane roared past, flying far away below. There was still a considerable vertical distance between the plane and the snow-white clouds above. Witnessing this, Wen Shu couldn't help but sigh, turning to Xiao Hei beside her and softly saying, "Xiao Hei, judging by this, could it be that your magical power has now reached an unfathomable level?"
However, Xiao Hei shook its head and said in a slightly playful tone, "Hehe, it's not that powerful! If we really encounter a strong enemy and can't beat them, we still have to run away!" After saying that, Xiao Hei's adorable appearance made Wen Shu unable to help but burst out laughing.
As the sun sets and night slowly falls, the once azure sky, like a jewel, gradually deepens, resembling a vast, dark blue silk ribbon spread across the horizon. The round, jade-like moon quietly climbs into the sky, casting its cool, soft light, shrouding the entire world in a mysterious silver veil.
"Little Black, do you think there really is a fairy named Chang'e in this world?" A childish voice broke the silence of the night. The speaker was a little boy dressed in coarse cloth clothes, his face full of curiosity. He looked up at his equally young but slightly more composed companion beside him with his big eyes.
The child called Xiao Hei frowned slightly, pondered for a moment, and then answered seriously, "Yes, the legendary fairy Chang'e does exist. She lives in the distant Guanghan Palace, and has an adorable jade rabbit by her side. When I was little, I heard my elders tell these stories."
A hint of surprise flashed in the little boy's eyes, and he quickly asked, "Where are your elders now? Have you gone back to see them?"
Xiao Hei gently shook his head, a hint of confusion on his face. "I don't know. As far back as I can remember, I was sent to this beautiful island when I was very young, and I've been living with your family ever since. But it's alright, when the time is right, my elders will naturally come to pick me up. And during this time, I haven't been idle either; I've been diligently cultivating!" As he spoke, Xiao Hei clenched his fist, as if filled with confidence and anticipation for the future.
