The golden dragon roared, leaving behind a scene of utter devastation. Amidst the billowing smoke, Linna lay motionless at the bottom of the pit. Li Jin deactivated his golden shield, staggering back a few steps, his chest heaving violently. Although Absolute Defense had blocked the attack, the skill consumed too much energy; he now felt completely drained.

"Dead?" Xiaomei cautiously peeked out, still clutching Xiaobai tightly in her hand. Xiaobai was trembling, clearly terrified by the battle just now.

Sophie walked to the edge of the pit and looked down at Linna. After a long while, she finally spoke, "She's still breathing, but very weakly."

"Tsk, he's got a tough life." Li Jin spat, rubbing his aching chest.

Sophie glanced at him: "Don't you even know who did it? If it weren't for the system's amazing power, you'd be meeting your maker by now."

Li Jin raised an eyebrow: "What, are you jealous?"

"Get out of the way!" Old Wang shouted, and was the first to dodge to the side.

Li Jin and Su Fei also quickly dodged, but Xiao Mei was so frightened that she stood there motionless.

"Xiao Mei! Danger!" Li Jin was alarmed when he saw this. He disregarded his own safety and rushed to Xiao Mei, pushing her away.
