Chapter 73 The Holy Land of the Dark Cult

"The Dark Cult..." Zhang Hao muttered to himself, his face deathly pale. Although he was a tech geek, he had heard a lot about the other world from Li Jin and knew that the Dark Cult was no pushover.

Xiao Mei was so frightened that her face turned pale. She clung tightly to Lao Wang's arm, her small body trembling slightly. "Lao Wang, then... then Princess Sophie isn't... isn't she going to harm Li Jin?" Xiao Bai, Xiao Mei's pet, seemed to sense its owner's fear and let out a low whimper, rubbing its furry body against Xiao Mei's hand as if to comfort her.

Old Wang pondered for a moment, his expression grave. "It's hard to say right now. Princess Sophie's previous behavior didn't seem like that of someone from the Dark God Cult. But... the current situation is indeed very strange." He paused, his gaze sweeping over everyone. "We must find Li Jin as soon as possible, before anything happens to him!"

"But...where are we supposed to look?" Zhang Hao looked bewildered. In this unfamiliar world, where were they supposed to find someone who had vanished into thin air?

Old Wang squinted, looking at the spot where Sophie and Li Jin had disappeared. A faint black magical aura lingered on the ground. "This magic circle... it's somewhat like the Dark God Cult's teleportation circle, but there are some differences." He stroked his chin thoughtfully. "If I'm not mistaken, Princess Sophie should have taken Li Jin to one of the Dark God Cult's strongholds."

"A stronghold of the Dark God Cult? How do we get in?" Xiaomei asked anxiously.

"This..." Old Wang was speechless for a moment. The Dark God Cult's stronghold was heavily guarded and easy to defend but difficult to attack. Not to mention a few people, even an army would find it as difficult as climbing to heaven to force its way in.

Just when everyone was at a loss, the usually silent Little White suddenly let out a sharp cry, sniffed the ground incessantly, and then ran off in one direction.

"Xiaobai!" Xiaomei saw this and quickly chased after him.

"Wait!" Old Wang also realized what was happening. "Xiao Bai might have discovered something. Let's follow him!"

The group followed Xiaobai, running wildly through dense forests and over steep mountain peaks, finally arriving at a secluded valley. At the entrance of the valley, a dark cave was hidden, its entrance filled with an eerie atmosphere.

"This... is the stronghold of the Dark God Cult?" Zhang Hao's voice trembled slightly, and he felt his calves spinning.

Old Wang nodded, his expression grave: "That's right, the aura here... is undoubtedly that of the Dark God Cult."

"Then...what do we do?" Xiaomei hugged Xiaobai tightly, her eyes filled with fear.

Old Wang took a deep breath, a resolute glint in his eyes: "Break in! Even if it costs me my life, I will rescue Li Jin!"

"I'll risk it!" Zhang Hao gritted his teeth. Although he was scared, he mustered his courage when he thought of Li Jin's safety.

The three people and their pet cautiously entered the cave. The cave was pitch black, so dark that you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. Only Little White's eyes emitted a faint glow, guiding them in the right direction.

The cave was quiet, with only the faint breathing and footsteps of the group being heard. The atmosphere was so oppressive that it was hard to breathe.

Suddenly, a low chanting sound came from ahead, sounding like some kind of evil ritual.

"Shh!" Old Wang quickly signaled everyone to stop, then quietly peeked out and looked in the direction from which the sound came.

A huge underground space appeared before them. In the center of the space, a black magic circle flickered with an eerie light, and a group of figures dressed in black robes chanted incantations around the magic circle.

At the center of the magic circle lay a figure, none other than the unconscious Li Jin!

"Li Jin!" Xiao Mei exclaimed and was about to rush out.

"Don't be impulsive!" Old Wang grabbed her. "Rushing out now will only alert them. We need to find a way to rescue Li Jin, but we also need to ensure our own safety."

Just then, a tall figure emerged from the crowd. He wore a magnificent black robe and a hideous mask, obscuring his face.

"Welcome to the holy land of the Dark God Cult, visitors from another world." The masked man let out a sinister laugh. "Are you... ready to be baptized by darkness?"

As soon as he finished speaking, the men in black around him drew their weapons and surrounded the group.

Old Wang's expression changed; he knew a fierce battle was inevitable...
