Li Jin swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing and making a clucking sound like a rooster being strangled. He struggled to sit up, only to find his whole body aching. Sophie's seemingly casual wave of her hand had actually contained such immense power.

"Princess... Princess Sophie... I... I didn't know it was her... I..." Li Jin stammered, cold sweat trickling down his forehead and dripping down his chin. He cursed his bad luck inwardly; he hadn't even had a few days of enjoyment after transmigrating, and he'd already run into a brick wall.

Sophie stared coldly at him, her long golden dress billowing without wind, like a proud god looking down upon ants. "Ignorance is no excuse for your evil deeds." Her tone was icy, each word piercing Li Jin's heart like an ice pick.

Huo Wu leaned weakly against Sophie, her face pale and her lips cracked. She looked at Sophie gratefully and said weakly, "Your Highness, thank you for saving my life."

Sophie gently patted Huo Wu's hand and said softly, "You rest well, leave the rest to me." After saying that, she turned her gaze to Li Jin again, her eyes even colder.

"How much of her spiritual energy did you absorb?" Sophie's voice seemed to come from the deepest hell, carrying a chilling aura.

Li Jin felt his soul trembling. He stammered, "No...not much...just...just a little bit..."
