The Dark Spider brandished its massive pincers and lunged at Li Jin. Li Jin instinctively dodged backward, narrowly avoiding the attack. "Damn, that thing's pretty fast!" he cursed, still shaken.

Sophie gasped and instinctively grabbed Li Jin's arm. Feeling the soft touch on his arm, Li Jin's heart fluttered. He turned to comfort her, "Don't be afraid, Sophie, I'm here."

Xiao Mei exclaimed excitedly, "Wow! What a huge spider! Xiao Bai, go!" Xiao Bai, the otherworldly creature that looked like a squirrel, bared its teeth and charged towards the Dark Spider upon hearing its master's command.

"Xiao Mei, don't let Xiao Bai go to its death!" Li Jin hurriedly tried to stop it, but the little guy had already rushed in front of the Dark Spider. With a swift movement, it dodged the spider's attack and then bit down on one of the spider's legs.

The Dark Spider cried out in pain, letting out a sharp screech, and frantically thrashed its bitten leg, trying to shake Little White off. But Little White held on tightly, refusing to let go no matter how much the Spider shook it.

"This little thing is actually quite capable." Seeing this, Li Jin perked up. He took out an exaggeratedly designed energy sword from his system space and slashed it hard at the other leg of the demon spider.

The energy sword flashed, leaving a dazzling light, and the spider's leg snapped off. Black liquid gushed out, emitting a pungent, fishy stench.

"How disgusting!" Sophie said, covering her nose.

The spider, having lost both legs, became sluggish. Li Jin pressed his advantage, wielding his energy sword and slashing at the spider's head.

Just as the demonic spider was about to be killed by Li Jin, suddenly, the surrounding trees shook, and a deafening roar came from the depths of the forest.

"Oh no, an even more powerful magical beast is coming!" Old Wang's expression changed drastically.

Sure enough, a giant boar, several times larger than the Dark Spider, charged out of the forest. The boar was covered in thick scales, and its tusks, like two sharp daggers, exuded a chilling aura of killing intent.

"What the hell is this?" Li Jin couldn't help but swear.

"This is the Steel-Bristled Boar King, one of the most powerful magical beasts in the Dark Forest!" Old Wang explained. "Its defense is extremely high; ordinary attacks are completely ineffective against it!"

The Steelbrist Boar King seemed very interested in the energy sword in Li Jin's hand. It let out a roar and charged towards Li Jin.

Li Jin hurriedly raised his sword to block, but the impact of the Steel-Bristled Wild Boar King was too great. He was knocked away and crashed heavily to the ground, feeling as if his internal organs had shifted.

"Li Jin!" Sophie exclaimed and rushed over to help him up.

"Cough cough..." Li Jin spat out a mouthful of blood, his face pale. "That beast, he's fucking strong!"

The Steel-bristled Boar King gave Li Jin no chance to catch his breath. It charged again, its huge tusks aimed at Li Jin's chest.

At the critical moment, a figure stepped in front of Li Jin. It was Su Fei!

A golden staff appeared in Sophie's hand without her noticing. She chanted incantations, and a golden light barrier appeared in front of her, blocking the Steel-Maned Boar King's attack.

"Sophie, you..." Li Jin looked at Sophie, who was standing in front of him, his heart filled with emotion and worry.

Sophie was pale; clearly, the defensive spell had drained a lot of her energy. She gritted her teeth and said, "Li Jin, you go quickly, I'll hold it off!"

"We'll go together!" Li Jin grabbed Sophie's hand and pulled her behind him. He looked at the Steel-Bristled Boar King before him, a glint of madness in his eyes. "I'll fight you to the death today!"

Just then, the system's voice suddenly sounded in Li Jin's mind: "Host's health has been detected to be below 20%. Emergency escape procedure activated..."

"What the heck? An escape procedure?" Before Li Jin could react, everything went black, and he lost consciousness...
