Chapter 10 Lover Chapter

Huang Qiaqia took off his headphones, put away his laptop, and sighed deeply. The test results were far from ideal. He got up to leave.

"Huang Qiaqia?"

Wu Haofeng's refined voice came over, and Liu Yiyi stared blankly at Huang Qiaqia.

A slightly shrill female voice came through.

"Do you know?"

"Oh, he's Wanli Fuguang's friend."

Huang Qiaqia explained with a relaxed expression, unaware of the female classmates' gazes focused on him.

Cheng Yiyi asked Wu Haofeng with a smile.

"Huang Qiaqia is here to accompany me to class. Professor, you don't mind, do you?"

"do not mind!"

Wu Haofeng picked up his laptop bag, walked to Huang Qiaqia's side, and took the backpack off her back.

"Professor, the backpack isn't heavy; I can carry it myself."

Huang Qiaqia wanted to decline, but Wu Haofeng stubbornly pulled off Huang Qiaqia's schoolbag and gently reminded him.

"let's go!"

Wu Haofeng strode ahead, with Huang Qiaqia linking arms with Cheng Yiyi. The two of them, completely bewildered, followed behind Wu Haofeng.

Why did he give me my schoolbag?

"Professor Wu Haofeng is such a gentleman!"

Cheng Yiyi nudged Huang Qiaqia with an envious look.

“Oh, gentleman. He told me that when he came to our Confucius Institute, I thought he was there to study, but I didn’t expect him to become a professor.”

How old is he? Is he single?

"Twenty-two years old? Are you planning to introduce your best friend to him?"

"Yes, can you ask for me?"

Cheng Yiyi waved to Huang Qiaqia and ran into her boyfriend's arms.

Huang Qiaqia followed Wu Haofeng and got into his Lagonda, only to be surprised to find that Wu Haofeng was there as well.

"Wanli Fuguang?"

Huang Qiaqia, all smiles, got out of the passenger seat and went to the back.

"go for meal?"

Wanli Fuguang casually handed his phone to Wu Haofeng, who then navigated to the address.

"After you finish eating? Where would you like to go?"

Wanli Fuguang waited with a smile in his eyes for Huang Qiaqia's opinion on the date.

Huang Qiaqia puffed out her cheeks, frowned, sighed, and unconsciously pulled her notebook out of her bag.

"I want to go to the lab. The data results for this voice interaction, deep learning, and heterogeneous computing experiment are not good at all."

"Wu Haofeng, your lab can do these tests too, right?"

Wanli Fuguang glanced at the navigation on his phone and asked a question seemingly unintentionally.

"Huh? Professor, you're so amazing? You even have a professional lab?"

Huang Qiaqia stared wide-eyed at Wu Haofeng in the driver's seat, thinking he was simply amazing.

"You don't need to call me professor, just call me Wu Haofeng. Our company's lab does some commercial development and conducts different tests every day. From time to time, some professors come over to give us some advice."

Huang Qiaqia's eyes lit up. Holding onto the car seat, he leaned closer, craning his neck, and pressed for an answer.

"If our department wants to conduct tests in your lab, is there any way we can do so? We can provide some funding, of course, it has to be your key laboratory..."

"No need to trouble yourself, you and your classmates can go anytime."

Wanli Fuguang leaned back comfortably in his seat and answered loudly.

"How can you be so sure? What if Wu Haofeng doesn't agree?"

Huang Qiaqia withdrew her gaze, turned her head curiously, and glanced at Wanli Fuguang. This guy really didn't treat her like an outsider. It was her friend's company, not his.

Wu Haofeng made a turn and arrived at his destination.

"Hehe, we warmly welcome you."

Huang Qiaqia put on her backpack, got off the bus, and found it was a familiar restaurant. She smiled sweetly.

"Wanli Fuguang, is this the restaurant I've been telling you about? You found it? I know the food here very well, I recommend it to you..."

Seeing Huang Qiaqia's animated expression, Wu Haofeng realized that Huang Qiaqia hadn't listened to a word of what was said in class.

Huang Qiaqia, arm in arm with Wanli Fuguang, chattered on and on as they skipped into the restaurant.

Upon arriving at the hotel lobby, Huang Qiaqia had only taken a few steps when she froze, her eyes filled with surprise. Then, her lips parted into a wider grin, and without hesitation, she released Wanli Fuguang's arm and ran over.

"Dad, Mom, why are you eating here?"

Huang Qiaqia happily took her mother's hand and snuggled up to her.

“It’s your dad. He wouldn’t let the aunt cook today and insisted on making me eat here.”

"It's Valentine's Day today. I brought your mom out to eat. Are you here to eat with your friends too?"

The father noticed that the man Huang Qiaqia was arm in arm with as she entered the room was handsome and had an extraordinary air about him, while the young man behind him was refined and leisurely.

Huang Qiaqia smiled proudly, walked up to Wanli Fuguang, took his hand, and introduced him to her parents.

"Mom, the blind date you introduced me to didn't come. His cousin, Wanli Fuguang, came instead."

"Sit down, please sit down."

The parents warmly invited Wanli Fuguang and Wu Haofeng to sit down and have a meal together.

Wanli Fuguang gave Wu Haofeng a wink, and Wu Haofeng sat down gracefully.

Dad looked at Wanli Fuguang more closely. His eyebrows were like painted ink, and his features were well-proportioned. He was the first to speak.

"How many people are in your family, young man?"

Wanli Fuguang took the chopsticks from his father with both hands.

"My parents and me."

Huang Qiaqia pulled up a chair, moved closer to her mother, picked up a piece of sweet and sour pork, and put it on Wanli Fuguang's plate.

Dad also used his own chopsticks to pick up beef for Wanli Fuguang and Wu Haofeng respectively.

What do your parents do for a living?

“My mother doesn’t work, but she lives a fulfilling life. My father and I are both in the real estate industry.”

Wanli Fuguang takes a bite of beef and chats with his father.

Wu Haofeng only took a sip of green tea and did not touch his chopsticks.

The mother warmly placed the largest piece of salmon on Wu Haofeng's plate, finding him to be gentle and refined, with a calm and composed demeanor in his eyes.

"Young man, how about trying the salmon that was air-freighted in this morning? It's fresh and delicious!"

Wu Haofeng took only a small bite before putting down his chopsticks.

Mom moved the bok choy from the rotating table to Wu Haofeng.

"Try some light and refreshing bok choy."

Wu Haofeng only ate a little.

Why are you eating so little?

Huang Qiaqia picked up a piece of salmon and, at the same time as her mother, looked at Wu Haofeng with concern.

"Hehe, I'm not hungry. The food in the school cafeteria is so delicious, I'm a little full. Didn't you notice that when the uncle and aunt invited me to sit down, I didn't really want to sit down at first?"

Wu Haofeng explained to everyone with a smile, thinking to himself, "I don't really like the habit of not using serving chopsticks."

"I'll order you a cup of yogurt! Huang Qiaqia always asks for yogurt after she's full!"

Just as Dad was about to wave to call a waiter, Mom interrupted him.

"Huang Qiaqia is just being greedy. If he were really full, he could still drink yogurt. Young man, how about switching to some Pu'er tea?"

"Uncle just said he likes Lu'an Melon Seed tea. Wu Haofeng, go get some."

Wanli Fuguang gently reminded him, and Wu Haofeng immediately got up, took out his phone, and asked his employee to bring it over.

"Wu Haofeng is such a good friend to you, always ready to help you. I want a friend like that too."

Huang Qiaqia greatly admired Wu Haofeng's ability to follow Wanli Fuguang's instructions. Seeing the snacks on the self-service counter, she ran over.

When her mother saw Huang Qiaqia run to the self-service station, she casually remarked.
