The Walking Dead: I Sell Arms as a Sixth-Rate Seller in the Apocalypse

Chapter 16 Red-Warm Sean and Unlucky Rick (Grimms)

in the afternoon

Fifteen kilometers outside Atlanta

Abandoned quarry camp

At this time of day, everyone in the camp was busy with their own things, each doing their own job. The women were gathered by the river washing clothes and gossiping. Some of the men were chopping wood, some were fishing by the river, and there was old Dale standing on the RV with a Winchester M70 on guard duty, as well as the scumbag Edward who was hitting his wife and scolding his daughter with sparks flying from his hands!

However, this peaceful moment was interrupted by the sound of cars coming from afar.

Leading the way was an armed Humvee with desert camouflage paint, followed not far behind by a gray-black military tactical truck.

Two vehicles slowly drove into the camp. Dale, standing on the roof of the RV, was stunned when he saw this. He thought the army had come to take them to the shelter. He tightly gripped the Winchester M70 that had been with him for many years.

After the two vehicles drove into the camp and stopped in the center, they immediately attracted everyone's attention. When everyone saw that the person operating the M2HB heavy machine gun was a soldier in military uniform, they thought the same as Dale: that this was a soldier sent by the US government to take them to the shelter.

After getting out of the RV, Dell walked towards the military Humvee and said to the driver, "Gentlemen, thank you so much for picking us up. On behalf of myself, I would like to express my gratitude to you all for not abandoning us, and to you young men for coming to such a remote place to pick us up. Thank you."

Morales: "Haha, you're welcome, Dale. I've known you for so long, and this is the first time I've seen you speak to me so politely."

As soon as he finished speaking, Dale's expression froze for a moment, then he saw the soldier get out of the driver's seat and look at Dale with a smile.

When Dale saw the soldier's face clearly, his expression immediately turned ashen. He then roared at the soldier, "You? Morales, how come it's you, kid? How dare you mock an old man like me! Today I'll show you the iron fist of old Dale!"

Morales: "Wow, wow, wow, Mr. Dale, I didn't mean to tease you. You were the one who suddenly appeared in front of me and said those things. Andrea can testify to that!"

Dell: "What? Andrea?"

Andrea: "Yes, Mr. Dale, I not only saw it with my own eyes, but I also heard it with my own ears!" Andrea, still standing at the machine gun position in the armed Humvee, joked with Dale with a smile.

Dale: "What?! You're Andrea? My God, you've only been gone for half a day, and now you and Morales have both joined the army?"

Dale looked at Andrea, who was dressed in women's combat attire, with an expression of amazement.

Upon hearing Dale's words, Morales reached out and scratched the bridge of his nose, saying, "It's a long story, but a very important person came to our camp today. He not only saved us when we were in danger, but he also gave us these clothes and the weapons we have."

Andrea: "Yes, if it weren't for him today, we would have been devoured by zombies long ago. Everything we have now is thanks to him."

Dell: "Oh? In that case, you'd better introduce him to me."

Inside the MTVR tactical truck

Rick then turned off the engine and said to the passengers, "Ladies and gentlemen, the journey is over. It's time to get off!"

After saying that, Rick got out of the car first, followed by Glenn, T-boy, Jacqueline, Marvin, Grimes, and others.

Lori was in the tent, having just completed the birth of her little brat with Sean. The noise from the camp was deafening. After getting dressed, Sean was the first to come out of the tent and go to the center of the camp. Carl, on the other hand, was waiting outside the tent like a good boy for his mother to come out.

Rick surveyed the camp's surroundings. The entire camp was surrounded by a stream to the west, the main road leading into the camp to the north (which was also the location of the quarry), and dense jungle to the east and south. The camp had virtually no defenses; apart from Dale's RV, there were practically no other sentry posts, let alone any surrounding walls.

Seeing the camp, which was drafty and full of dead ends, Rick could imagine the tragedy that would happen there the next night. Ed would be eaten alive, Amy would be bitten, and nearly half of the people in the camp would die that night. Thinking of this, Rick decided that he had to stop it before it happened. In this post-apocalyptic world, every life was precious, and he couldn't let so many lives be lost because of one person's wrong judgment.

With that in mind, Rick said to Andrea, who was standing at the machine gun position on the roof of the armed Humvee, and Moore, who was standing on the MTVR tactical truck, "No matter what happens in a moment, you two must trust me unconditionally, understand? Even if I tell you to shoot at other people, you two must do it unconditionally, understand?"

Upon hearing Rick's words, Moore replied without hesitation, "Don't worry, boss. If you tell me to go east, I'll never go west; if you tell me to beat a dog, I'll never crush a chicken!"

Hearing Moore's words, Rick's expression relaxed, and he said to Moore, "Hmm, not bad, Dixon, you're quite good, a quick learner. I'll give you another can of those coffee candies after this is over."

Upon hearing Rick's words, Moore was as happy as a child, then said with a flattering expression, "Oh! You're amazing, just you wait and see!"

Just kidding, that's a miracle candy. Ever since Moore ate that coffee candy, he's felt much clearer-headed, his temper has improved, he doesn't want to look anymore, and his irritability has improved a lot. This stuff is more magical than any other candy he's ever eaten. As long as he keeps eating this candy, he'd be more than happy to turn into a lapdog and bark like a dog.

Rick ignored Moore and turned to Andrea, saying, "Andrea, what's going on? Did you hear what I just said?"

Andrea's expression was serious and not very pleasant. She looked around at the crowd and noticed that the blonde girl standing in the crowd was blinking and watching the commotion.

Rick followed Andrea's gaze and spotted the blonde girl standing in the crowd. Rick immediately recognized her as Andrea's beloved sister.

Seeing this, Rick cleared his throat and said to Andrea, "I see your concerns. Don't worry, I won't order you to fire on that blonde girl in the crowd."

Hearing Rick's words, Andrea's eyes filled with gratitude. She then said to Rick, "Rick, thank you. Don't worry, I will never let you down when you give the order."

Hearing Andrea's words, Rick nodded in approval, then looked at the crowd and soon spotted the little brat's father, Sean Wales, standing apart from the group, sizing him up.

Out of politeness, Rick gave a forced smile and made an "international friendship gesture" in Sean's direction. Sean, of course, saw Rick's act and his face instantly turned ashen. He glared at Rick and then returned the gesture.

Seeing Sean's return gift, Rick chuckled inwardly, "He's getting impatient! He's getting impatient! Sean Wales is angry! The fish has taken the bait! He's hooked Sean Wales! Just wait and see how I deal with him later."

Then, Rick stretched out his arms towards Sean, making the "international friendship gesture" with his palms, and waved them up and down towards Sean. He even turned his back, making the "international friendship gesture" with his left hand while twisting his waist from side to side, and slapping his own buttocks with his right hand in Sean's direction.

Upon seeing this, Sean's face instantly turned red. When he was working at the Kings County Police Department, he was incredibly prestigious. Even now, in this apocalypse, he had never been provoked like this before.

At this point, Sean lost his last shred of reason. He was like a mad bull, his eyes bloodshot, and he ran quickly toward Rick's location.

Rick happened to be standing next to Grimes, who had just gotten out of the car. He glanced at Grimes behind him and casually said, "Hey Grimes, let me introduce you to an old friend. I bet he'll be very eager to give you a hug when he sees you."

Upon hearing this, Grimes joked, "Don't joke around, buddy. Besides you and Marvin, I don't know anyone here... Huh? And that's... Sean?!"

Just as Grimes saw Sean behind Rick, he raised his hand to hug his best buddy, when the unexpected happened.

At this moment, Sean had quickly run to Rick's side, raised his right hand and raised his fist, the size of a sandbag, to strike Rick's face. As he punched, he cursed, "You damn bastard, how dare you provoke me like this? I'll satisfy you! Today I'm going to teach you a lesson on how to respect others!"

With the boost from his advanced combat skills, Rick felt a fist behind his head and instantly crouched down and fled backward.

At that moment, Grimes saw Sean rushing towards him, and then saw Rick crouch down and run away. Thinking that Rick was creating an opportunity for him to grab his good brother on the first charge, he raised his arms to Sean and said, "Sean, my good brother, it's great to meet you..."

Before he could finish saying "Xing," Grimes witnessed Sean slam his fist, the size of a sandbag, into his face.

In an instant, Grimes was blasted away by the fist, flying more than three meters away.

In an instant, the lively atmosphere at the scene came to a halt.

Sean stood there, his right hand dangling, stained with blood, staring blankly at the man lying on the ground in front of him.

On the ground lay a man in a police uniform, unconscious, with blood flowing from his mouth and nose.
