Harry Potter and the Virtue of Miss Potter

Chapter 3 Time Travel (Part 2)

Wu Mu did not open her eyes during the first round. She felt the pain in her body gradually lessen, so she opened her eyes and found herself in a dark, boundless place.

She glanced down and saw that she and Yilong were floating in the air.

“Yi…Yi Long, we…we’re floating…”

[This is the tunnel, a place every traveler will pass through.]

"Passing through... a tunnel? Hmm... I've never heard of that before."

[Your current state is one of forcibly traversing the edge of different parallel worlds; it's normal to feel some physical discomfort, like a twisting sensation.]

Wu Mu looked at his hands and feet.

[It seems the first round is about to end. The second round should be five times more painful than the first. Can you... handle it?] Yilong's old injuries flared up with this time of transmigration.

[Cough! Uh...] Yulong also coughed up blood because of this.

"Yilong! No... how could you..." Ignoring the first wave of pain from the unfinished transmigration, Wu Mu immediately turned to Yilong beside her.

[I'm fine, just a flare-up of an old injury. The first round... is over. You're much stronger than I thought.]

Wu Mu nodded: "..." Now I finally understand why I've never seen how female protagonists transmigrate in novels before. This is just too... too painful!!

[It's coming! The second round...] Yilong swallowed hard.

"Let's keep going!" Wu Mu was genuinely scared this time. She was afraid that Yi Long would become half-dead, especially since he had just coughed up blood.

Yilong: "..." This guy...

A golden light gradually appeared in front of the two, and Yilong's eyes showed a look of fear.

[What are you people from Heaven trying to do! She'll die here!] Yulong roared at the golden light.

"Meow—!" A cat's meow reached their ears. The meow was unlike that of young or immature deities, and even less like that of old deities.

[Damn it! It's Qimu!] Yulong gritted his teeth, grabbed Wumu and wrapped her up tightly, leaving no gaps.

"What...?" Before Wu Mu could react, he was wrapped in Yi Long's arms.

[Ah—! Ah—! Uh ah!] Golden light slowly passed over Yulong's body, and at the same time, many bloodstains appeared on Yulong's body.

“Yi...Yi Long!” Wu Mu gently pushed Yi Long away a little, poked his head out, and found that they had returned to the system space.

[I...I'm fine, cough cough! This pain is...bearable. Alright, you've successfully transmigrated. I think I'll rest in the system space for a while. Don't disturb me during that time...I'll let you know when I've rested enough.]

Yu Long's voice sounded weak, but apart from the obvious bloodstains on his body, there was nothing else to prove that he was injured.

“Yilong…please don’t do this again next time. I can manage on my own. It hurts me to see you like this…” Wu Mu had tried her best to organize her thoughts, but it still sounded a little strange.

[Heh, it's nothing! I'm fine.] Yilong chuckled, then patted Wumu's hair.

"I don't believe it. Look at you, you're covered in blood..." Wu Mu gently touched the bloodstains on Yu Long's arm.

[Alright! Maybe it's time for you to wake up now!] With that, he forcibly kicked Wu Mu out of the system space.

Wu Mu slowly opened her eyes. The scene before her was unfamiliar, but there was a voice that sounded somewhat familiar to her.

"Wu Mu, you're awake?"
