They either blindly believed in the fallacy that "natural childbirth is good for the baby," or they were concerned about saving medical expenses, completely ignoring their wives' safety.

What's even more infuriating is that when these husbands' ignorance and stupidity ultimately led to their wives' unfortunate deaths, they showed no remorse or grief whatsoever.
