I thrived in the primitive tribe

Lu Yao opened her eyes, looked at the cave where she was now living, and cursed in silence for the umpteenth time.

This story begins two days ago. Lu Yao is a college student at a university specializing in traditional Chinese medicine.

When I have nothing to do on the weekend, I go to the mountains and forests near the school for inspiration. As the saying goes, when you're bored, you make something out of nothing. I originally thought I would relax and get close to nature to recharge.

I don't know what got into me, but instead of taking the main road, I found a supposedly shortcut that was rarely traveled. That's how I accidentally ended up here while climbing the mountain.

When she opened her eyes, she saw a ferocious beast the size of a lion, which terrified her so much that she almost died and wanted to see if she could go back.

Fortunately, just as she was about to become prey for the beast, an even larger beast came and knocked the ferocious creature aside. Looking at the behemoth blocking her way, Lu Yao opened her mouth in shock and screamed silently. She then passed out in a spectacular fashion. Therefore, she did not see that after defeating the beast, the Tyrannosaurus Rex turned into a human.

He looked at Lu Yao, who had fainted on the ground, wondering why this person wasn't with the tribe's orcs but was alone in the forest. He looked like he wasn't even an adult yet. Which careless tribe had abandoned their cub?

As dusk approached, Loya had no choice but to take the unconscious man and the prey back to the tribe. It would be unwise to leave a cub that was not yet fully grown in the forest, as the number of wild animals that would come out to hunt at night would increase, and even powerful orcs were not allowed to move around in the deep forest at night.

When Lu Yao woke up, she thought she had dreamt of a Tyrannosaurus Rex and was relieved that it was just a dream. But after realizing her situation, Lu Yao was no longer happy.

Before she could figure out what was going on, a kind-looking old lady walked in from outside. "Blah blah blah... blah blah blah..." She looked at Lu Yao and rattled off a whole bunch of things, leaving Lu Yao completely bewildered and unable to understand what was happening.

Looking at the bewildered cub, the old woman turned and left the cave. Not long after, she returned, carrying a bamboo tube. No one knew what was inside. She handed the bamboo tube to Lu Yao, gesturing for her to drink it.

Lu Yao looked at the old woman, then at the bamboo tube, thinking that one has to bow one's head when under someone's roof, so she reached out and took it. The bamboo tube contained some transparent liquid that emitted a faint fragrance, so it didn't seem like anything bad. Lu Yao drank it down in one gulp, and after carefully sensing it, she found no change.

Lu Yao was wondering when the old man spoke.

“Little cub, which tribe are you from? How did you end up in the forest? If Loya hadn’t gone hunting yesterday and happened to bring you back, you might have been eaten by wild beasts.”

Lu Yao was shocked. She actually understood. Could it be because of the cool water she had drunk earlier?

"Hello, I don't have a tribe, and I don't know how I ended up in that forest."

Looking at the child in front of me who was completely oblivious.

"I haven't seen any other orcs passing by the tribe recently, so this little brat must have been abandoned in the forest for some reason."

The old man thought so.

"What's your name? Would you like to stay and live in our tribe?"

Looking at the kind old man in front of her, Lu Yao felt incredibly at ease, and then, somewhat confused, agreed to join the tribe.

After Lu Yao joined the tribe, she learned that the old man was the tribe's chief shaman, which was similar to a doctor. He was responsible for treating the sick and saving lives in the tribe and had a high status, being respected by the tribe members.

"It seems that no matter when, doctors who can save lives will always be highly sought after," Lu Yao thought to herself.

Since drinking that spring water, Lu Yao has been able to communicate with everyone without any problems.

Then Lu Yao found out that it was now the 200th year of the Beast Era, and her tribe was the Dragon Alliance Tribe. The person who saved her before was named Luo Ya. Since she had no place to live, the tribe leader temporarily entrusted her to the Great Witch.

We noticed she was unconscious and didn't know if she was injured. However, after examination, we found that she was simply unconscious and there were no other problems. Considering the situation of the tribe, we decided not to have her move out of the shaman's residence.

And so, Lu Yao settled into the Great Witch's residence.

Lu Yao was very satisfied with this, because she felt that the shaman in the tribe was the one she felt the best. She trusted her intuition, so she began to help the shaman sort the medicinal herbs and dry them every day.

Lu Yao had always thought that after the Tyrannosaurus Rex ate that beast, it saw her lying on the ground and didn't care about her at all, since she was just a piece of food that wasn't even enough to fill its teeth, which is why Loya, who was out hunting, picked her up.

One day, after witnessing a transformation, she realized she was completely wrong. She watched as a dragon standing in the distance turned into a human. She felt a throbbing in her temples and her head buzzing, and the world seemed to have become incredibly fantastical.
