After a night's rest, the next morning, Old Man Geor Mormont, along with Benjen and Allisa Thorne, arrived at the warehouse where the weapons and equipment sent from Winterfell were stored.

"These weapons and armor were first replaced for all the veterans, and the weapons were also replaced. The replaced armor and weapons were sent to the blacksmith shop for dismantling."

Once these criminals and outlaws have completed their training and become soldiers, they will be given new armor and weapons according to their size.

After Xiong Lao finished assigning the tasks, the people around him began to arrange for the Night Watch soldiers and the Rangers who went out to change their equipment first, and then the soldiers behind them would change their equipment in batches according to their ranks.

Banyan changed into a full set of dark steel armor, picked up a broadsword, swung his arm, tested its weight, and exclaimed in admiration:

"This is fantastic! With this equipment, we can stop whatever comes our way!"

Although Elisa Thorne was disliked by the new recruits because of her personality and temperament, she was now wearing new armor and holding new weapons, so she couldn't say anything else.

While everyone was happily changing their equipment, Tyrion Lannister was drinking wine given to him by Bai Ze at the castle with the captain of the prisoner transport team from King's Landing. They were discussing heading south to King's Landing together on their way back.

After a while, Lord Commander-in-Chief Georgio Mormont and Maester Aemon Targaryen found Tyrion Lannister and told him about the Wall's current predicament.

Because the savages are crossing the Great Wall southward more and more often, and the cavalry have failed to return from several patrols north of the Great Wall, the Great Wall is now severely understaffed and food is scarce. Now, the Great Wall is left with only some young men who have made mistakes and a group of old, weak and disabled people.

The Night's Watch, numbering less than 1000 men, was completely incapable of defending the castles along the Wall, nor did it have enough personnel to patrol the wilderness beyond the Wall. (I solved the problem of insufficient weapons and equipment, so I didn't mention it.)

Tyrion should ask his sister, the Queen, for help, and tell King Robert and the Royal Council about these matters, so that they can find a way to aid the Wall. Otherwise, when winter comes, they will only be able to pray to the gods for protection.

Tyrion listened to their conversation but said nothing, only nodding.

Benjen, having made preparations, was ready to set off once again beyond the Wall to investigate whether the wildlings' southward migration was accompanied by White Walkers. I, too, donned my armor and sword for the first time and followed them.

"Is Lord Bai Ze really going? Several previous teams have failed to return, and there has been no news of them since."

Ban Yang said earnestly to Bai Ze.

"Don't worry, Banyan, that's why I came to the Great Wall. Otherwise, wouldn't it be better for me to be drinking fine wine and spending my days in taverns with my beauties?"

As she spoke, she blew a kiss to Xiaomeng, who was about to see her off.

Xiao Meng rolled her eyes at Bai Ze and didn't say anything. She knew Bai Ze's strength; even if he really encountered the Otherworld King, he could still escape if he couldn't defeat him.

Xiao Meng is also ready. Once we set off, she will release Yalejia to provide vision for our team, so that we can spot distant dangers or more information in advance.

Xiao Meng used the telepathic communication provided by the system to say to Bai Ze: "Master, please be careful when you go out. After you set off, I will find an opportunity to release Yareja to follow you in the sky. The map of the Northern Territory has been fully explored long ago. This time, we can also light up everything outside the Great Wall."

Bai Ze didn't speak, but looked at Xiao Meng who was whispering to him and nodded. With telepathic communication and Ya Lei Jia's assistance in the sky, they should be able to complete their mission this time.

 …

After searching in the wild for several days, Yareja in the sky told us that there was a gathering place of wild men not far ahead, and there were quite a few of them.

Bai Ze pretended to have discovered the gathering place ahead and told Ban Yang that they had quietly sneaked into the woods near the gathering place to see where the savages had gone.

Night fell quickly, and while we were still observing, an unexpected event occurred. Because their strength had not yet recovered, the White Walkers, who slept during the day and moved at night, rushed into the wildling settlement ahead. Shouts, tearing sounds, and the sounds of weapons being swung echoed through the sky.

We saw it clearly from the woods on the other side. Some ghouls had been split in two and were still crawling and moving around. Benjen and the others had never seen anything like it before and were stunned.

Bai Ze looked at the zombies in the distance. The glowing levels above their heads made him chuckle inwardly. This was fantastic! Now he had a place to level up and gain experience. "5000 experience points to take me to the Zombie King, but it's free!!!"

Remembering the beginning of the dungeon, Bai Ze silently drew his sword. The others, seeing my action, realized that if these savages were all dead, it would be our turn.

"Go in from one direction, don't panic. First, clear out the White Walkers and bitten wildlings around you and your teammates. Anything that moves is an enemy. Finally, try to save the upper bodies of a few White Walkers; we need to take them back as evidence."

Bai Ze addressed the others, and Ban Yang, knowing Bai Ze's strength, instructed the other Night Watchmen to follow his instructions.

"Then come on!"

Bai Ze was the first to rush out of the forest and head towards the chaotic settlement of the savages. The others followed Bai Ze. The savages also saw us rushing out of the woods. The leader shouted loudly to the human companions who could still hear us, and they joined us in the direction we were rushing from.

Ignoring the savages gathering in his direction, Bai Ze rushed through the crowd and first found the highest-ranking, armored ghoul who was probably the ranger ghoul who had been killed earlier.

Bai Ze tested the White Walkers' attack and movement speeds. Their movement was similar to that of a normal person, and they wouldn't stop when injured. Only their arms, hands, and mouth were their attack methods.

After learning the information, Bai Ze dodged the zombie's attack, cleaved it in two with a single sword stroke, and then kicked up a sword with his left foot, pinning the zombie that was still struggling to crawl toward him to the ground.

Turn around and start clearing out the other ghouls. Keep one piece of evidence first, and leave the rest at the end. The rest are all experience points for leveling up!

The mindless ghouls that only knew how to attack were just experience points. Bai Ze followed the direction from which he came and killed his way in one direction. The rangers around him also followed Bai Ze and cleared out the mindless ghouls that were charging at him. Bai Ze and the rangers ignored the wild men who were running around in all directions.

In no time, we cleared out the wights that had stormed into the savage settlement. Unfortunately, we didn't find the leader of the White Walkers. Bai Ze was still thinking of testing if his purple-grade equipment could harm them.

White Walkers are not afraid of fire, and ordinary swords and other weapons cannot harm them at all (they will be instantly frozen into ice sculptures and then shattered upon contact with the body or weapon of a White Walker).

Whether dragonfire can kill White Walkers is unknown, but White Walkers are extremely afraid of dragon crystals; their bodies will begin to melt and dissipate as soon as they touch them.

Ghouls are not afraid of dragon crystals, but conventional weapons can damage them. Moreover, ghouls are afraid of fire and are extremely flammable. Ghouls can only be completely destroyed by burning or being completely pulverized.

Several rangers rescued a few savages who were slightly wounded but not yet dead. They captured them for questioning. The savages, seeing our group of fully armed swordsmen, thought they were being captured to be executed, and they trembled with fear.

Bai Ze and Ban Yang looked at each other. Bai Ze asked, "Who's coming?" Ban Yang said:

"Go ahead and ask. You can ask as many questions as you want. I don't even know where to begin when it comes to asking me questions."

Bai Ze nodded and walked over to the group of wild men, saying, "I'll ask you questions, and you'll answer them. If you answer correctly, I'll let you go. If you don't answer or shout nonsense, I'll send you to see the Old Gods, or you can stay here and let the Others take you away."

After listening to Bai Ze's words, the savages nodded vigorously. One of them said, "My lord, just ask us anything. We will tell you everything we know."

"When did you migrate here? How many times have you seen those White Walkers? Have you ever seen any different White Walkers that weren't so frantically attacking people?" Bai Ze asked three questions at once, letting them answer slowly.

The savage who had spoken earlier, the one with the least injury, replied:

"We've been migrating south for five days now, and we haven't gone very far. This is the second time we've been attacked by the White Walkers. The first time was when the village chief took us hunting, and we encountered them near dusk."

When the sun was completely out of sight, they charged at us like madmen. Half of the hunting party was killed before we could clean up the mess, but in the distance we saw a white and blue monster with blue eyes.

The White Walkers we had defeated, along with those who had died in our hunting party, quickly rose again and attacked us once more. The village chief, with a few wounded men, held them off and told us to return to the village to report back, and to obey Lord Manley's orders to quickly pack our belongings and retreat south.”

Bai Ze originally wanted to have Aleja in the sky scout out if there were any White Walkers controlling wights around, but then he thought that the White Walkers would throw ice spears, and it wouldn't be worth it if Aleja got hurt.

When Bai Ze led his men to the savage settlement, Yareja had already scouted all the obvious places around them. Apart from the dense jungle behind the direction from which the ghouls had emerged, which had not been thoroughly explored, there were no other humans or moving creatures within a few miles of their own men.

After hearing the wildling's words, Bai Ze, Benjen, and the remaining rangers all understood: the White Walkers could only operate at night for the time being, and a more powerful White Walker leader had already begun to act, searching for tribes to kill and increase the number of wight troops.

Bai Ze and Ban Yang exchanged glances, and Bai Ze said:

"Our objective has been achieved, and we've captured the White Walker sample. Pack your things and head back to the Wall. Then send a message to Winterfell. The news is confirmed; the White Walkers have begun their operation. We need to prepare ourselves!"

After saying that, the group found a box, tied up the several White Walkers that had been cut down to their upper halves, put them in the box, released the injured wildlings, and replenished their food and water at the wildling settlement.

They used the Molotov cocktails they had brought to burn the corpses of the dead savages and ghouls. After checking the damage the flames had done to the ghouls and confirming that the Molotov cocktails were very effective against them, the group turned back to the Great Wall.

... ... ...

While Bai Ze was leading the rangers and White Walkers in a battle of wits and courage across the frozen wasteland, our Lord Ned Stark was also in King's Landing, engaging in a battle of wits and courage with a group of ministers at the King's Council.
