Just as Kaka and Shen Ying were recovering from their shock, a low roar suddenly came from the depths of the swamp, as if the swamp's ruler had been enraged by their resistance.

The ground began to shake violently, and more magical monsters surged out of the swamp, several times more numerous than before.

"We have to leave quickly!" Kaka gripped Shen Ying's hand tightly, and the tip of his wand shone brightly, clearing a path ahead that was temporarily free of monsters.

Shen Ying reacted quickly as well. She took out a handful of powder that emitted a faint glow from her bag. Her expression was solemn, and her lips moved rapidly. An ancient and mysterious incantation flowed from her mouth.

The incantation carried a strange rhythm, as if it resonated with the surrounding magical elements.

Then she scattered the powder around her, and the powder seemed to come alive, flying towards the approaching monsters. Upon contact with the monsters, it would burst into a bright light, blinding them temporarily and slowing their movements.

They ran wildly in what seemed like a safe direction, but the mud beneath their feet seemed to be deliberately working against them, making every step extremely difficult and threatening to drag them back into the abyss at any moment.

Shen Ying's magic had not fully recovered from the previous poisonous fog, and she was somewhat powerless while running.

Kaka noticed her condition, pulled her to his side, wrapped his arms around her waist, and ran with her.

"Don't worry." Kaka's voice rang in Shen Ying's ears, carrying a reassuring power.

Suddenly, a huge swamp vortex appeared ahead, like a giant maw leading to hell, constantly swallowing everything around it.

The monsters seemed to be wary of the vortex as well, and only lingered around it.

"It seems we have no choice but to go through here." Kaka looked at the vortex with a determined gaze.

He took out a radiant amulet from his pocket and handed it to Shen Ying.

"This will protect you. No matter what happens, don't let go of my hand."

Shen Ying took the amulet and at the same time took off the crystal pendant she always wore from her neck and handed it to Kaka: "This is my guardian crystal, it can enhance magic power, you can take it."

They rushed into the vortex, where the powerful suction instantly pulled at their bodies.

Kaka hugged Shen Ying tightly, chanting an ancient magic incantation. The light emitted from his wand formed a protective shield, resisting the tearing of the vortex.

Shen Ying also focused her attention, and her hands radiated brilliant magical light, merging with Kaka's protective shield to reinforce this line of defense against danger.

However, the forces within the vortex were far greater than they had imagined, with powerful undercurrents constantly battering the protective shield.

Each impact felt like a heavy hammer blow, causing their blood and qi to surge.

Kaka's face grew paler, but his eyes remained resolute, and he gripped his wand even tighter.

Shen Ying sensed Kaka's struggle. She gritted her teeth and poured more magic into the light in her hands. Veins bulged on her forehead, and large beads of sweat slid down her cheeks.

Under immense pressure, cracks began to appear in the protective shield, and wisps of dark power seeped in from the cracks, wrapping around them like cold tentacles.

Kaka and Shen Ying's bodies began to tremble uncontrollably, as if they were being dragged into an endless abyss of darkness.

In that apocalyptic vortex, the violent power seemed intent on crushing everything.

Kaka's eyes hardened, his lips moved slightly, and though his voice was soft, it carried a steady strength: "We cannot give up."

The sound seemed to possess a magical power, whistling through the vortex and reaching Shen Ying's ears directly.

Shen Ying looked at Kaka and saw that his gaze was as gentle as ever, but behind that gentleness was a firmness as solid as a rock.

Just as the protective shield was about to shatter, Shen Ying suddenly remembered an ancient witch's inherited magic.

She closed her eyes, concentrated all her mental energy, and recited a rare and difficult incantation.

As the incantation was uttered, a powerful surge of magical energy erupted from Shen Ying's body. It was a power completely different from that of the swamp, pure and fiery.

This magical power, like a raging fire, instantly repaired the cracks in the protective shield and amplified its power several times over.

In the vortex, they were like two leaves in a storm, swaying precariously.

At this moment, they clung tightly to each other, fighting together against this terrible force.

After an unknown amount of time, they finally broke free of the whirlpool. The two were soaking wet, disheveled, their clothes torn to shreds, and their hair plastered messily to their faces.

But the joy of surviving the ordeal made them smile at each other, and the smiles looked especially bright on their dirty faces.

Kaka gently brushed the wet hair from Shen Ying's face, her eyes full of tenderness: "We succeeded."

Shen Ying looked at Kaka, nodded slightly, her lips trembling, but she couldn't say a word.

After escaping the whirlpool, they dragged their exhausted bodies to a relatively dry high ground at the edge of the swamp.

Kaka waved his wand lightly, and a simple tent appeared before him, surrounded by several protective spells to ensure safety.

Kaka felt heartbroken seeing Shen Ying's tired and somewhat disheveled appearance.

He took out an exquisite magical food box from his package, opened it, and found the food inside still steaming.

There was a magical pudding with a sweet aroma, its crystal-clear surface seemingly containing a glittering starry sky; there were also small cakes baked with special magic, their cream topped with blooming flowers, exuding a sweet fragrance; and some fresh fruits that had been enchanted with preservation spells, their colors enticing.

"You've worked hard today, have something good to eat to replenish your energy."

Kaka smiled and said to Shen Ying. Shen Ying looked at the exquisite food, her eyes filled with surprise.

She picked up a small cake and put it in her mouth. The sweet taste instantly bloomed on her taste buds, and the soft and delicate texture seemed to dispel all her fatigue.

Kaka watched Shen Ying enjoy the food, his eyes full of tenderness.

He handed Shen Ying a hot drink in a specially made cup with magical runes flashing on it, which kept the drink at a suitable temperature.

"This is tea brewed with magical herbs; it helps restore magical power." Shen Ying took it, sipped it, and felt a warm current spread from her throat throughout her body.

After they finished eating, Kaka took two blankets out of the tent and handed one to Shen Ying.

Wrapped in blankets, they sat by the fire, their bodies gradually warming up. "Today was so dangerous, thank goodness for you."

Shen Ying sighed, surprised that the magical world was so dangerous. She looked at Kaka with gratitude in her eyes.

Kaka's eyes were full of tenderness. He gently reached out and placed his slender fingers on Shen Ying's shoulder, offering a silent comfort. His gaze was like a deep, unfathomable yet incredibly warm pool.

It wasn't until Shen Ying felt a little uncomfortable being stared at that Kaka slowly looked away, reached out and picked up a few pieces of firewood, gently placing them in the fire.

The flames licked the new firewood merrily, sparks flying everywhere, as if celebrating their survival.

The warm firelight danced on their faces, reflecting their tranquility and peace of mind.

Before they knew it, drowsiness crept in. After saying goodnight to each other, they returned to their tents to rest.
