Looking into Kaka's determined eyes, Shen Ying felt a ripple of doubt welling up in her heart.

She pondered to herself, judging from Kaka's various behaviors, the original owner's relationship with him must be extraordinary, but what kind of relationship was it?

Her brows furrowed slightly, and a hint of confusion appeared in her eyes.

Recalling the wizard Kaka's overly familiar manner, from the first meeting, he seemed to have known her for a long time, and his every move was natural and intimate.

And his habit of taking care of himself, whether it was preparing delicious meals or the care he inadvertently showed in every move, made Shen Ying feel that there might be a special bond between them.

A thought suddenly flashed through Shen Ying's mind: Could they be a couple?

Once the idea popped into her head, it entwined around her mind like a vine.

Shen Ying shook her head in annoyance. If they were really a couple, then things would be troublesome.

Imagine how awkward it would be to impersonate the original owner and find yourself caught in the middle of their relationship.

However, another worry arose in my mind.

What if they really are a couple?

If I firmly refuse to let Kaka go with me now, he will definitely overthink it.

He might think he's being rejected and then leave dejectedly.

If that's the case, and the original owner returns to find that their beloved is gone, then they would be guilty.

Forget it, I'll take him with me. I won't be in the game for long anyway. I'll just keep my distance from Kaka as much as possible when we're together, and that should be enough to avoid offending the original owner.

After thinking it over, she finally nodded helplessly, "Alright then, let's do it together."

So the two embarked on their journey to the magic academy.

Along the way, they traversed a dense, magical forest. The trees in the forest seemed to be alive, their branches and leaves rustling as if whispering ancient stories.

Occasionally, some little sprites would fly past them, curiously observing the two uninvited guests.

Shen Ying and Kaka headed towards the magic academy, but unexpectedly a strange mist suddenly enveloped them, as if countless ghostly hands were trying to drag them into unknown fear.

When the fog cleared, they found themselves in a mysterious swamp.

The poisonous fog that permeated the swamp resembled a living demon, displaying an eerie yellowish-green hue.

The poisonous mist spread out in wisps, and a stinging pain came as soon as it touched the skin. Shen Ying and Kaka could feel their magic power being drained away little by little, as if countless invisible hands were tearing at the source of their power.

Kakana's exposed blue eyes grew even deeper as he warily scanned his surroundings.

"Watch out!" Kaka pulled Shen Ying away with a swift and powerful movement, his wide black robe billowing in the wind.

Because he keenly sensed something unusual about the muddy ground beneath his feet.

Just as they stood still, a huge magical monster suddenly sprang out of the mud, its gaping maw filled with sharp fangs and emitting a nauseating stench.

Kaka swiftly waved his wand, the runes on it shining brightly, and a beam of light shot towards the monster. The monster, in pain, retreated back into the mud.

They walked cautiously, each step as if treading on thin ice.

Suddenly, the mud beneath Shen Ying's feet seemed to exert a tremendous suction force, instantly gripping her feet tightly.

"Ah!" Shen Ying exclaimed in surprise, her body uncontrollably beginning to sink.

Kaka turned around without hesitation, his eyes filled with anxiety under his hood. He threw away the branch he was using to probe the way, and his face, which was covered by a metal mask, approached Shen Ying. He grabbed Shen Ying's waist and pulled her up forcefully.

"Don't be afraid, I'm here." Kaka's voice came from behind the mask, steady and powerful, which reassured Shen Ying.

The swamp didn't seem to want to let them off easily.

More magical monsters swarmed in from all directions, their slippery bodies darting swiftly through the mud, their eyes gleaming with greed.

Kaka had to fight off the monster's attacks while also trying to pull Shen Ying out of the mud.

Veins bulged on his forehead, and magic surged continuously from his wand. His knuckles turned white from gripping the wand so tightly that they formed a temporary protective shield for them.

"Hold on tight!" Kaka gripped Shen Ying's hand tightly, his strength was astonishing, as if he wanted to transfer his power to Shen Ying through his palm.

His gaze never left her; through the mask, it was like a lighthouse in the darkness, revealing an unwavering determination, as if he were an insurmountable barrier in the face of this dangerous swamp.

He gritted his teeth, large beads of sweat rolling down his forehead, but it did not affect his movements in the slightest.

He freed one hand, which quickly and accurately reached into his robes, as if he already knew the location of the items.

He pulled a bottle of magic potion from his pocket; the potion emitted a mysterious glow in the dim swamp.

His movements were skillful and nimble, without the slightest hesitation, as he splashed the mud at his feet.

The moment the medicine touched the mud, it made a "sizzling" sound, and the mud began to churn violently as if it had been enraged by a monster.

A pungent odor filled the air, and Shen Ying felt the surrounding air become scorching hot.

But miraculously, the mud seemed to loosen a bit, and the force that had been binding her legs like iron clamps gradually weakened.

Kaka took the opportunity to lift Shen Ying up, his arm muscles bulging, every inch of his muscles straining.

Shen Ying felt like a light bird, escaping from that dark swamp.

The two finally escaped the most dangerous area, panting heavily.

They stood back to back, supporting each other in this perilous swamp.

The surrounding magical monsters were eyeing them menacingly, their greedy eyes gleaming in the darkness like eerie, cold stars in the night sky.

Their slippery bodies darted swiftly through the mud, bringing with them a nauseating stench that made the air even more heavy.

Kaka and Shen Ying were panting heavily, each breath a struggle against exhaustion and fear.

Kaka turned her head slightly, looking at Shen Ying's face covered in dirt, her eyes filled with heartache.

He gently raised his hand, his slender fingers holding a clean handkerchief, which seemed to be enchanted, radiating a soft glow.

His movements were gentle and meticulous, as if he were polishing the most precious treasure in the world.

The handkerchief gently brushed against Shen Ying's cheek, each touch filled with endless tenderness, and the stains disappeared little by little under his gentle wiping.

Kaka's eyes were full of tenderness and concern, as if the whole world had only Shen Ying left.

He said softly, "It's good that you're alright."

The voice was like the warmest breeze in spring, blowing straight into Shen Ying's heart through the gloom of the swamp.

Shen Ying suddenly turned her head, as if to avoid something, her heart pounding uncontrollably in her chest.

She took a deep breath, trying to calm her flustered state. Her cheeks were slightly flushed, and she forcibly suppressed the emotions that had just begun to surface.

She blinked quickly, looked around again, her eyes becoming serious and alert, and she returned to a state of high alert.
