Quick Transmigration: I'm the Villain's Assistant to the Protagonist
Chapter 26 Interstellar Exploration 11
Jack took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down and think of a solution. His eyes were fixed on the huge gray planet, his mind racing.
“Listen up, everyone! We might be able to use this planet’s gravity to escape the cosmic storm!” Jack shouted.
The team members looked puzzled, and Tom couldn't help but ask, "Brother, how do we use it?"
Jack explained, "We'll adjust the ship's direction and get closer to the planet, letting its gravity interact with the power of the storm. Maybe that will create a temporary balance and give us a chance to escape."
Although everyone was unsure, they had no choice but to follow Jack's orders.
The spaceship struggled to approach the gray planet, the force of the storm constantly tearing at it.
"Hold on! Get a little closer!" Jack shouted.
Just when the spaceship was about to give way, the planet's gravity began to take effect, and the power of the storm seemed to be slightly weakened.
"Now! Full speed ahead!" Jack gave the order decisively.
With the combined effects of gravity and thrusters, the spacecraft finally broke out of the storm's core area.
However, new problems arose.
"We're being pulled by the planet's gravity and can't break free! We'll crash if this continues!" Cruise shouted anxiously.
Jack frowned, pondered for a moment, and then said, "Adjust the ship's direction and use the reverse thrust device to try to break free from gravity!"
The team members acted quickly, and after a series of tense operations, the spacecraft finally broke free from the gravitational pull and continued flying forward.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, and a tired smile appeared on Jack's face.
“Keep going,” Jack said firmly.
The spaceship sailed silently through this unknown universe.
Inside the treatment room, Shen Ying realized that the spaceship had finally stabilized. She breathed a sigh of relief. The violent turbulence she had just experienced made it easy for her to imagine the terrifying emergency that had occurred.
After carefully reviewing the data in the repair chamber and confirming that everything was normal, Bai Sanxing turned to Shen Ying and said, "I'll go outside and see if there's anything I can help with. If anything happens here, remember to let me know and I'll be right back."
Shen Ying nodded gently in agreement.
Shen Ying's gaze fell once again on Zhang Wei's peaceful sleeping face inside the repair pod. His delicate, doll-like face was just as she had seen it before, but now it gave her a completely different feeling.
They had weathered many storms together along the way. Zhang Wei's meticulous care touched her, but also felt somewhat abrupt. Was it simply because she had helped him find a landlady that he treated her so warmly?
Shen Ying stared at Zhang Wei's face, her thoughts racing. Suddenly, her own face flushed red without warning. Could it be that Zhang Wei really liked her? But he had never said it out loud. How embarrassing would it be if she were just imagining things? However, what if he really did like her? Once this thought popped into her head, it was like a mischievous little ant crawling around in her heart, making her feel uneasy all over.
She was here to complete a mission, and she had to leave once it was finished. If he truly liked her, what would happen after she left? This was, after all, a game world. Would it continue to function normally after she left, or would it fall into hibernation? Shen Ying was filled with confusion, yet she had no idea.
If the world continues to turn, will the original owner return? Facing the original owner, will Zhang Wei mistake her for her and continue to love her deeply? But what if the original owner doesn't like Zhang Wei? Or what if the original owner falls in love with him? The more Shen Ying thought about it, the more confused she became, as if she had fallen into an unsolvable maze.
She tried to sort out her feelings, but the harder she tried, the more confused she became. She didn't know what she really wanted, and it seemed she had no right to choose. This sense of powerlessness made her increasingly miserable, and finally, she simply decided to stop thinking about it. Maybe Zhang Wei was kind to her simply because of his kind nature.
After the spaceship stabilized temporarily, Jack immediately organized the team to discuss countermeasures: "Phew... we're safe for now, but we still need to find a way to leave as soon as possible."
"We must find a way to escape this unknown territory and get back to our original course," Cruise said.
Tom frowned as he looked at the data on the instrument: "Jack, the magnetic field and gravity here are extremely chaotic, and conventional navigation systems are simply unusable."
After a moment's thought, one of the female team members suggested, "If all else fails, we can only use the most primitive method: to roughly determine the direction based on the positions of the surrounding celestial bodies."
Jack nodded: "That's a good idea. Everyone should keep an eye on it."
After careful observation and calculation, the group finally determined a possible direction.
"Let's move in this direction, and everyone be prepared for any unforeseen circumstances," Jack said solemnly.
The spaceship slowly started up and flew towards the unknown future. Along the way, it encountered several small energy fluctuations, but thanks to everyone's efforts, they were all resolved without serious incident.
When Zhang Wei woke up, he had just sat up in the repair pod when Shen Ying's round little face was right in front of him. His ears turned red instantly, and his head tilted back slightly uncomfortably.
Shen Ying was overjoyed. She stared in amazement at Zhang Wei's bare upper body, her gaze moving from his arms to his chest, marveling at the advanced medical technology of this era. Such a large, deep wound, yet not a single scar remained! And! His skin was so smooth, it felt so nice to touch… Her gaze gradually moved downwards…
"Cough cough!"
Zhang Wei's cough brought Shen Ying back to her senses. She looked up and saw the man's face was a little too red. She belatedly realized that after looking at his chest, her gaze had been fixed on his abs.
Eight-pack abs... Hmm, quite pleasing to the eye.
Shen Ying quickly looked away, and just as she was about to say something to ease the awkwardness, the other person spoke up: "Shen Ying, could you please bring me my clothes?"
"Okay, you wait!"
Zhang Wei's clothes had long been torn to shreds, so Shen Ying had prepared his new clothes in advance and quickly handed them to him.
As he dressed, he listened to Shen Ying ramble on about the various situations he encountered after entering the repair pod.
Shen Ying only heard about the thrilling experience from other team members afterward. Although she hadn't experienced it herself, it didn't stop her from vividly describing the urgency and danger at the time.
Her story unfolded with dramatic ups and downs, her expression shifting with each word, and Zhang Wei couldn't help but smile. He reached out and gently patted her head: "Thank you for your hard work, and I'm sorry you had to go through all that."
Shen Ying abruptly slapped the other person's hand away and said in a somewhat stiff tone, "Don't do that, or you'll make me look short."
Zhang Wei's eyes flickered. He was sensitive to her resistance towards him. Had something happened that he didn't know about?
When Zhang Wei woke up, no one was happier than Jack. With tears in his eyes, Jack rushed over and hugged Zhang Wei, saying, "Boss, you're finally awake!" Heaven knows how much pressure he had been under these past few days. In just two days, he felt that his thick hair had thinned and his handsome looks had diminished! Waaah~ Being the boss isn't easy! He would definitely treat his boss better from now on.
Zhang Wei, expressionless, slapped Jack across the face and pushed him away: "Alright! Be serious. Report to me what's going on."
Jack reluctantly let go of his boss, inwardly complaining that his boss was a guy who forgot his brothers once he got a wife! If it were Shen Ying, his boss would have happily clung to her and wouldn't let go.
