Thanos didn't want to be a villain.

Chapter 47 It's All Loki's Fault

The Observer saw Black Widow off, and Dio said goodbye to Doctor Strange before entering the portal to leave.

But Gamora stopped her.

"What's wrong?" Dio looked at Gamora, feeling a little strange.

"Want to have a drink before you go?" Gamora extended an invitation.

Dio looked at Gamora in surprise, thought for a moment, and nodded.

Upon reaching the bar, Doctor Strange waved and handed over a bottle of wine and two glasses.

The leopard sitting on the ground looked even uglier. Resigned, he walked into the portal. As for what awaited him, only heaven knew.

“Thanos, my adoptive father, when I first met him he killed half of my people, including my mother, in front of me, and later lied that my homeland was a paradise.” Gamora took a sip of her drink and spoke carefully.

"Actually, that place was already a dead star, and I became the last member of the Zehouberi tribe."

Dio did not deny that, although his second daughter Nebula said Thanos never lied, he did lie about this point.

"Then he took me in himself, trained and modified me, all so that he could collect the Infinity Stones faster." Gamora's tone began to become low and dejected.

"Well, he's actually pretty good," Dio remarked.

Doctor Strange gave him a strange look.

Gamora gave a wry smile: "Yes, he raised me and taught me all my skills, so he was very good to me in that respect."

“But he stripped my sister and me of all family ties, and he dismembered and modified Nebula right in front of me, all to intimidate us.” Gamora’s voice choked with emotion.

"But he felt that this was love for us."

Gamora's body began to tremble as she spoke.

Doctor Strange joined in the fun, handing over another bottle of wine and saying, "Although I've never been a father, I've seen some families when I was a doctor, and their parents used the excuse of doing what's best for their children to give them very strict discipline."

"Especially those who are rich."

Doctor Strange's words created an awkward atmosphere for a moment. Dio looked at him with a strange expression, while Gamora lowered her head and remained silent.

Seeing this, Doctor Strange had no choice but to change the subject: "So what else did he do?"

“Thanos is someone who is good at using our fear of him to control us. He likes to cruelly torture and kill his enemies in front of us, and then turn around and talk to us with a kind face.”

"Wow, he really knows how to use psychological tactics," Doctor Strange exclaimed.

Dio gestured to him with his eyes to shut up.

Doctor Strange raised his hand in a sealing motion, and with a flash of light, his mouth disappeared.

Gamora sighed: "Although I don't know why you spoke to me in that tone as soon as we met, after getting to know you, I can tell that, just like the Observer said, you are not him."

“At least he wouldn’t develop this technology.” As she spoke, Gamora took out a small object, a small force field shield given to her by Dio.

Dio blinked: "I remember there's a kind of portable spacesuit that works on a similar principle to mine. Since you've inherited his mantle, you can also use his resources for technological creation, right?"

“Uh…” Gamora paused, unsure of what to say.

"Don't tell me he didn't teach you how to conduct scientific experiments and manufacture technology?" Dio crossed his arms and looked down at Gamora.

Gamora, who had been somber just moments before, now awkwardly lowered her head.

Like a child whose homework is suddenly checked by their parents.

"Don't tell me he didn't teach you the basics!" Dio's voice rose.

“I did teach him.” Gamora touched the back of her neck, her head lowered, not daring to look at Dio.

Dio continued watching Gamora's performance.

"You didn't just learn how to make bombs and assassinate, did you?" Doctor Strange seemed to have thought of something, and his mouth returned to normal as he spoke weakly.

Gamora's eyes lit up, and then she nodded.

Upon seeing this, Deo and Doctor Strange were speechless.

Is this teaching terrorists?

"Alright, alright, I now understand why you guys are so tightly controlled by him. It's all because you're uneducated!" Dio shrugged.

Gamora didn't know what expression to use to express her feelings.

This was probably only the second time in Gamora's long life that she had experienced the awkward situation of being a child who knew nothing about her parents' questions.

His fingers unconsciously gripped the cup, his eyes darting around.

“Well, good riddance. As an adoptive father, although he wasn’t exactly a model father, he constantly intimidated his children, didn’t provide them with any education, and even made them work illegally. I can only say he deserved to die!” Dio slammed his fist on the table, completely understanding Gamora’s resentment towards Dio.

Seeing Dio's excited expression, Gamora opened her mouth but did not reveal the true cause of her adoptive father's death.

"Alright, now that he's dead, you should properly inherit his estate and brush up on your knowledge while you're at it. Don't let your mind be filled with nothing but making bombs."

Dio patted Gamora on the shoulder, got up, and walked towards the door.

"By the way, Master, it's a pleasure to meet you. See you again sometime." Dio also said goodbye to Doctor Strange.

Gamora touched her shoulder, feeling a care she had never experienced from Thanos before, and murmured in the direction Dio had left, "Thank you."

Gamora soon said goodbye to Doctor Strange, and the Watcher reappeared after everyone had left.

"What's wrong?" Doctor Strange asked, putting down his glass when he noticed the Observer's strange expression.

Yuatu the Observer can actually make accurate predictions about some of the future. Although he doesn't know why Ultron with the full set of gems discovered him, he has already seen visions of the future since he took the initiative to seek out Doctor Dark Strange.

All he has to do is act according to this prophetic ability.

When he passed by Dio's place, he only took a quick look on a whim and subconsciously began to describe the plot.

Now even the future has changed!

With a sigh, the observer did not give a specific reason, but only said that he had seen another universe heading towards destruction, and felt sorry that there was one less story for him to see.

Doctor Strange silently took a sip of his drink.

"Alright, since that's the case, I should head back now. Remember to call me next time something this good happens." With that, Doctor Strange made a hand seal and went inside.

The Observer watched Doctor Strange leave without saying a word; he himself didn't know what to say.

How could a plot designed by the god of stories go wrong?

Could it be that the God of Story rewrote it, and I didn't read the latest updated chapter?

Thinking this, the observer, Yuatu, also left the bar, and he subsequently shut it down.

On Dio's side.

After returning to the palace, he sent the footage captured by the hidden camera inside the armor to Hela.

She also told him about other parallel universes, which made her understand why her younger brother kept shouting "For Asgard" instead of "For Asgard".

"As expected, Thor's slow progress in strength is due to that ice giant!"

After reading it, Hela's first words almost made Dio lose his composure.
