The strongest astral army in Warhammer 40K

Chapter 22 The Foot Care Master

Under the combined attack, the Zerg overlord was caught off guard and took a few steps back.

A Space Marine seized the opportunity to quickly charge up to the top of the Hive Overlord, raised his chainsaw sword and slashed down fiercely. The heavy chainsaw sword struck the top of the Hive Overlord's head, and the chainsaw spun wildly.

Despite the Space Marines' best efforts, they were unable to harm the Hive Overlord; its carapace was simply too tough.

The enraged Hive Overlord, Boneblade, cleaved the Space Marine in two.

Van Grey raised his warhammer once more, roared, and struck the Hive Overlord's abdomen with all his might. With a "bang," an arc of electricity flashed, and the Hive Overlord's abdominal carapace was finally cracked.

The overlord of the insect hive was also forced back several steps by the immense force.

Van Grey quickly drew his explosive pistol and fired a shot at the crack in the shell.

After an explosion, a large gash was blown open in the abdomen of the Zerg hive overlord.

"Everyone focus fire on its wound!" Van Grey roared excitedly.

Although the carapace of the overlord of the insect hive is hard, its flesh and blood are still weak.

Under concentrated fire, the Hive Overlord's abdomen exploded, sending flesh and blood flying. The Hive Overlord let out a furious roar of resentment as its massive body collapsed.

Just as they dealt with this Hive Overlord, another Hive Overlord charged in. Two Space Marines immediately rushed to stop them, but were knocked away by a sweeping bone blade.

The death of two companions enraged the hive overlord, who then charged straight at Vangrey.

Van Grey was also enraged; he had lost a comrade-in-arms and a friend who had followed him for a century.

"Come on!" Van Grey roared as he charged forward. This time, he didn't activate his power backpack; he simply leaped upwards, jumping more than six meters high.

The power hammer slammed heavily into the bone knife, and the two enormous forces created a sonic wave.

Although Van Grey was strong, he lacked the advantage of weight and was knocked away once again.

Van Grey struggled to his feet. He suddenly realized that his arm was trembling slightly. The few swings of the power hammer had taken a toll on his strength. Just as he was about to lift the power hammer again, two Space Marines came to his side.

“Chapter Commander, let me do it! You can keep your power sword.” As he spoke, the Space Marine handed the power sword to Van Grey.

Van Grey glanced at the Space Marine and chuckled, "You should use your weapon." With that, he took the power sword and twirled it in his hand.

“I’ll distract it, you attack its legs.” After saying that, Van Grey activated his power backpack and charged towards the Hive Overlord, continuously firing his explosive gun at the Hive Overlord’s face while trying to get close enough to deliver a fatal blow.

The other four Space Marines, each with two power packs, followed Chapter Commander Van Grey and fired at the Hive Overlord's face, while looking for an opportunity to attack.

The enraged Hive Overlord swung its bone blades repeatedly at the Space Marines. The Space Marines in the air could only dodge and fire continuously, while the two Space Marines on the ground had no chance to attack.

With only one Hive Overlord remaining, the Space Marines weren't in a hurry to launch a desperate attack. They simply surrounded it and kept firing, while the Astragalmen fired from a distance. Although the effect was minimal, it did manage to attract some of the Hive Overlord's attention.

The Hive Overlord, unable to attack the agile Space Marines, grew increasingly frustrated, its bone blade swings becoming more and more chaotic.

"You guys try to get behind it, I'll look for an opportunity to attack its tentacles!"

The two Space Marines quickly activated their power packs and circled around to the left and right behind the Hive Overlord. The Hive Overlord immediately turned around and swung its bone blade at the two Space Marines, who quickly retreated to avoid it.

Van Grey seized the opportunity to rush behind the Hive Overlord and swung his power sword at the tentacles.

The sharp power sword severed three tentacles in one fell swoop.

The Hive Overlord let out a painful roar, then turned around and angrily swung two blades at Vangrey without regard for anything else.

Van Grey quickly raised his sword to parry, and the two bone knives struck the power sword heavily, the immense force sending the chapter leader flying again.

This gave the hammer-wielding Space Marine an opportunity. He quickly rushed to the Hive Overlord's claws, raised his power hammer high, and smashed it down on the claws, transforming himself into a pedicure master.

Although the hive overlord's feet also had thick carapaces, they could not withstand the heavy blows of this power hammer. With one strike, the carapaces were covered in cracks.

The Hive Overlord, in pain, suddenly raised its claws and flung the Space Marine away.

Van Grey rushed over and thrust his sword into the claws of the Hive Overlord with both hands.

The sharp power sword pierced through the already cracked carapace and penetrated deep into the claw, causing blood to gush out.

The enraged Hive Overlord recklessly swung its bone blade at Vangrey, who quickly dodged, abandoning its power sword.

The "Roar" bone blade struck the insect hive overlord's claw, splitting the already injured claw in two.

Overjoyed, Van Grey rolled a few times on the ground to escape and fired his bomb gun at the hive overlord's claws.

A violent explosion rang out, shattering the claws of the Zerg hive overlord into pieces.

"Quickly, concentrate fire on its claws!" Without Van Grey's prompting, the warriors of the Astragalus Army and the Cadian Legion fired bullets at the Hive Overlord's claws.

The concentrated fire attack severely damaged the hive overlord; half of its leg was shot into pieces, and unable to support its massive body, it collapsed to the ground.

Once the Zerg overlord falls, its defeat is inevitable; at this point, the Zerg overlord is like a pig waiting to be slaughtered.

When the Space Marines killed the last Hive Overlord, it meant that the battle was completely won.

Van Grey and several other Space Marines knelt beside their fallen comrades, muttering something, but Russell couldn't hear what they were saying because of the distance.

A Space Marine died right in front of Russell, which made Russell's feelings somewhat complicated. It turned out that even seemingly invincible demigods could be killed.

"Commissar Kane, we have eliminated the enemy. The task of destroying the hatchery is now in your hands."

"Thank you for your help, Commander. Let us pray for your brother and hope that he can return to the Emperor soon."

Van Grey nodded and left with the other Space Marines.

The political commissar of the Cadian Legion also came to Kane's side and said: "Commissar Kane, I hope we will have another chance to fight together!"

Commissar Kane quickly replied: It is our honor to fight alongside you.

…………

On the way back, Russell and Zog sat in the same car. At this point, the burly man from Catachan became a little depressed and sat silently to the side.

Too many of his teammates died in this battle, and now only four comrades remain. How can he be happy?
