Dapeng's Time Travel Life

Chapter 102 Struggling Across the Far North Ice Plains

Leaving the town, Zhang Peng and his group continued their journey into the far north. As they ventured deeper, the temperature plummeted, the biting wind lashed their faces like knives, and the surrounding scenery transformed from lush forests into a silvery-white world.

Stepping into the far north ice plains, a fierce wind whipped up a blizzard, instantly obscuring visibility and leaving only a chaotic void between heaven and earth. Zhang Peng and his companions struggled forward through the wind and snow, each step requiring immense effort.

"This snowstorm is too heavy. If we continue like this, we probably won't last much longer," Li Ming shouted, his voice broken and torn apart by the fierce wind.

Zhang Peng looked around, trying to find shelter from the wind. Suddenly, he saw a huge iceberg in the distance, with what appeared to be a cave at its base. "Everyone, come with me! Let's go into that cave to take shelter from the wind!" he shouted to his companions, pointing towards the cave.

Supporting each other through the wind and snow, the group struggled towards the cave. Finally, they entered. Although cold inside, it at least offered shelter from the howling wind.

"Phew, we're finally safe." Lin Wan'er gasped for breath, leaning wearily against the cave wall.

Su Yao took out some dry food and hot water from her storage bag and distributed them to everyone: "Eat something first to replenish your strength."

Just as everyone was preparing to rest, Zhang Peng suddenly sensed an unusual aura emanating from the depths of the cave. The aura was cold and powerful, as if it concealed some kind of danger.

"Everyone be careful, there might be something in this cave." Zhang Peng gripped his longsword warily and slowly walked deeper into the cave.

The group followed him cautiously. As they ventured deeper, the aura grew increasingly intense. Suddenly, a colossal ice beast burst forth from the darkness. This ice beast was enormous, its entire body covered in a thick layer of ice, its sharp claws carving deep furrows into the ground.

"It's an Ice Demon Beast!" Li Ming exclaimed. The Ice Demon Beast is a powerful magical beast from the far north, possessing the ability to manipulate ice and snow, and its strength should not be underestimated.

The Ice Beast roared, spewing out a massive ice pillar that shot towards the group. Zhang Peng quickly mobilized his five elements spiritual power, forming a five-colored shield in front of him to block the ice pillar's attack. However, the impact of the ice pillar still forced him back several steps.

"Everyone, attack together!" Zhang Peng shouted. Li Ming charged forward first, unleashing his fierce swordsmanship in an attempt to find an opening in the Ice Demon Beast. Lin Wan'er and Su Yao cast spells from behind to support Li Ming.

The Ice Beast was indeed powerful; each of its attacks carried immense force, making it difficult for the group to withstand. Zhang Peng observed the battle and knew that this couldn't continue. He had to find the Ice Beast's weakness to defeat it.

Zhang Peng concentrated, carefully observing the Ice Demon Beast's attack patterns. He noticed that when the Ice Demon Beast launched an attack, a brief opening would appear in its chest. Although this opening was fleeting, Zhang Peng still managed to capture it for a moment.

"I've found its weakness!" Zhang Peng shouted, gathering the five elements of spiritual power onto his longsword before charging fiercely towards the ice demon beast.

The Ice Beast sensed the danger and tried to dodge, but it was too late. Zhang Peng seized the opportunity and thrust his sword into the Ice Beast's chest. "Thud!" With a muffled sound, the sword pierced through the Ice Beast's chest. The Ice Beast let out a miserable cry, its body slowly collapsing and turning into a puddle of icy water.

After defeating the Ice Demon Beast, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. They rested in the cave for a while before continuing their journey.

As they ventured deeper into the Arctic ice field, they encountered various dangers. Sometimes, sudden cracks in the ice nearly swallowed them; other times, packs of ice wolves attacked them. But through their wisdom and unwavering will, they escaped danger time and time again.

Finally, after several days of arduous trekking, they came upon an ancient ruin sealed by ice and snow. The ruin's gate was tightly shut, covered with mysterious runes, exuding an ancient and enigmatic aura.

"This is it." Zhang Peng looked at the ruins before him, his eyes gleaming with excitement. He knew that this place might hold the key clues to uncovering the mysterious organization's conspiracy, but at the same time, it might also hide an even greater danger.

The group cautiously approached the gate to the ruins. Zhang Peng placed his hand on the door, trying to sense the power of the runes. Suddenly, the gate slowly opened, and a powerful blast of cold air rushed out.
