Kilsager and Chat Groups
Chapter 56 Orbital Assault Begins
“Valenian?” Renault, sitting in the transport plane, frowned as he looked at the makeshift tactical console in front of him. He had lost contact with Valenian.
“Sir, we have lost contact with ground troops.” Matt Horner connected to the tactical console, and he too realized the seriousness of the situation.
"Damn it!" Renault angrily slammed his fist on the table in front of him, where a makeshift tactical platform was placed. His powerful power armor granted him unparalleled strength, and he smashed a deep dent into the metal tabletop.
"Just now, we detected energy fluctuations from the artifact, which is not a good sign."
"They must have tampered with the artifact."
Having personally experienced the power of the artifact, Raynor knew its terrifying power. Once fully charged and unleashed, the resulting nova shockwave was enough to destroy all the insect swarms on the surface of the entire planet Char.
"Order the fleet to remain in high orbit. We absolutely cannot allow the fleet to suffer greater losses." Renault secretly assessed the potential impact range of the artifact nova impact and decisively issued the order.
As Raynor's orders were relayed, the Terran Empire fleet quickly adjusted its formation and remained steadily in orbit above Korhal, ready for battle.
The warship's radar kept scanning the ground, but they were completely baffled by the situation; the residual energy from the nova impact was interfering with their scans.
Artanis knew that the Terran Empire's fleet movement had been detected by the Protoss, and combined with the energy shockwaves detected by the Spear of Adun on the ground, Artanis knew that trouble was brewing.
He sent a communication request to Renault, who answered it quickly.
“Friend Raynor, the Spear of Adun has detected a powerful energy surge on the ground.”
“It’s an artifact,” Renault answered Artanis with certainty. “The Morbius Foundation has tampered with the artifact, and now we have no contact with our ground forces at all.”
“This is really bad.” Artanis knew what being out of contact meant, and he glanced instinctively at the Templar’s severed braid on the bridge.
“The Imperial fleet cannot get too close to the ground, otherwise a single Nova Impact could wipe out the entire fleet,” Raynor told Artanis about the current situation. “However, the fleet can still provide support from high orbit.”
“Then let my warriors pave the way for you.” Artanis nodded to Renault.
"That would be perfect." Renault breathed a sigh of relief, then suddenly remembered something, "I'll have the group members help you later; their mechs can break through the atmosphere of a single mech."
"What about their safety?" Artanis was puzzled by Raynor's decision. Did he know about the impact of the artifact Nova Impact at this moment?
"Don't worry about their safety. Just provide assistance when they ask you for help." Renault shrugged easily, of course not revealing to Artanis that all members of the group, except for Kirsaj, could now be resurrected.
Artanis nodded in understanding. Raynor's response made him realize that the next topic involved the so-called secrets of the chat group, and he was not the kind of Protoss who liked to pry into things.
The Spear of Adun sped through the Imperial fleet toward low-altitude orbit.
The crew of the Hyperion watched through the glass of the bridge as the Spear of Adun hurtled past them.
This colossal object, resembling a moving mountain of gold, gradually receded from their sight until it was so distant that only a faint blue dot could be seen.
"If I could just take a small piece from it, I wouldn't have to worry about money anymore in the future." Tina had the Spear of Adun deeply etched in her mind.
“I’ve reached an agreement with Artanis. You can set off to help the Protoss establish a forward base.” Raynor, wearing power armor, arrived at the bridge.
Killer Gerrard raised an eyebrow and turned to Tina, asking, "Are you getting used to flying Strike Freedom?"
Previously, due to the suddenness of the incident, Killer didn't have time to think too much and directly handed over Strike Freedom to Tina, who accepted it without hesitation; she wouldn't be coy.
“Yes.” Tina nodded firmly.
Renault strode to the control panel, frowned as he looked at the chaotic report before him, but quickly immersed himself in the intense work, beginning to handle the problems methodically.
"Let's go." The group exchanged glances, their eyes revealing determination and resolve. Then, following the navigation instructions, they resolutely headed towards the hangar.
Inside the hangar, Strike Freedom, Infinite Justice, Destiny Gundam, and Ikaruga, among other mobile suits, are neatly arranged. Their maintenance has been successfully completed, and they are ready to launch and meet the upcoming challenges.
However, unlike in the past, these machines are equipped with detachable jet propulsion systems.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Swann was leading the Imperial engineers in a dauntless attempt to cram Raynor's General-class Titan into a massive drop pod.
Kirsa stood quietly in front of the airtight shield, gazing out at the cold and silent space through the thin, transparent membrane.
The ship's equipment quietly appeared beside her, slowly merging with her.
She focused her mind, mobilized the powerful spiritual energy within her body, and constructed a spiritual energy shield that tightly adhered to her skin.
This is the result of her continuous learning and exploration, and also a way for her to protect herself when facing unknown dangers.
"Boom! Boom!"
Four mechs arrived behind Kilsager, their pilots adjusting the mechs with the assistance of AI.
The navigator saw the tower's signal, nodded, and then said into the communicator, "Kirsar, you can proceed."
Upon hearing the instructions, Kirsaj started the engine, and with a roar, she leaped down into the cold void.
The four of them followed closely behind Kil'jaeden, their back thrusters spewing blue flames as they accelerated their descent towards Korhal's surface.
Five streaks of light shot out from the Hyperion and danced among the Imperial fleet.
This was the first time the five of them had ever directly experienced the power of the Imperial fleet; rows of steel behemoths were neatly arranged, resembling a black ocean.
The jet-black hull exuded a chilling aura, and the flickering lights on it sent shivers down one's spine.
The five people swam freely in this black ocean, enjoying its violence.
"Wow! This is... amazing!" El exclaimed excitedly. Ever since he heard that Raynor was the Marshal of the Interstellar Empire, he had fantasized about this scene more than once.
Flying past the massive Imperial fleet, below lay the Spear of Adun, the beautiful Protoss ark hovering in low orbit.
The Protoss on the Spear of Adun also noticed the five blue meteors flying down, but they didn't pay much attention to them.
At this moment, the small unit flying at the very front caught Karax's attention.
Curious, he projected Kirsagh into the air, wanting to observe this mysterious object up close.
When he saw what it was, his eyes widened, and he muttered to himself, "This... how is this possible?"
