Chapter 53 The Protoss Forces Arrive
A dazzling blue light suddenly shone on the central platform, like the brightest star in the night sky.
Immediately afterwards, a crystal tower surrounded by a golden ring in mid-air slowly appeared, exuding a breathtakingly mysterious aura.
Tina, who had just returned from the front lines, stared wide-eyed at the extremely luxurious crystal tower, secretly calculating its true value.
After careful consideration, she came to an astonishing conclusion—this was absolutely priceless!
As the Crystal Tower completed its warp, dazzling beams of light rained down around it like a shower of flowers.
One by one, imposing and majestic figures stepped out; they were the elite warriors from the Protoss race.
These warriors, clad in golden armor that gleamed brilliantly, possessed extraordinary and refined eyes that shone with a deep blue light as they surveyed their unfamiliar surroundings.
"This is the powerful energy field provided by the Crystal Tower. As long as they are within its range, any Protoss unit can warp in," Raynor explained to the group of astonished, unfamiliar chat group members beside him.
Just then, four Protoss Templars, clad in heavy armor, silently teleported to Raynor's side.
They wore heavy, full-body armor, with a dazzling psionic wing on each shoulder blade, and blue cloaks embroidered with countless beautiful patterns swung behind them.
In their left hands, they held a beautifully carved gold shield adorned with sparkling blue crystals that shimmered with a mesmerizing light.
Their right hands gripped a solar-powered battle axe over two meters long, its blade glowing with psionic light, inspiring awe.
Seeing these clearly elite warriors appear, Renault stood still and waited for Artanis to arrive.
“They…are so rich!” Tina exclaimed to herself, her eyes wide.
She felt her eyes were filled with dazzling golden light, unable to accommodate any other color.
Azure Star felt her armor instantly lose its value. Although she was no less capable than these Star Spirits in terms of materials, the exquisite carvings, the perfect color scheme, and the valuable gems made her feel ashamed.
Azure Star was surprised to find that armor could be so magnificent; her court armor was no match for it.
Kirsa silently scanned their armor, deciding that she would definitely get a few cool suits of armor when she got back.
Chen Huijie, on the other hand, paid more attention to the strength of the Protoss warriors. She keenly sensed that every Protoss present was in no way inferior to her in terms of martial arts.
Aiur was equally interested in the Protoss armor; if it weren't impolite to just go up there, he would have definitely held onto their armor tightly.
As the chattering crowd observed the Protoss warriors, they also noticed these unusual humans.
They were also very interested in Chen Huijie, who had two swords at his waist, and Cang Lanxing, who carried a large katana on his back. They could sense that these two were definitely experts in close combat.
As for Kirsa, although they found it strange that a human would wear such clothes in space, they had no doubts after sensing her psychic power.
As the two sides observed each other, the Protoss Archbishop Artanis finally appeared, and he saw the familiar black can—Jim Raynor.
“Renault, my friend, my troops are ready.” Artanis didn’t mince words; he knew Renault didn’t like this kind of thing.
“Very good, then we’ll organize an attack in a moment.” Renault brought up the combat panel and drew out his planned attacking force.
The two refined the configuration of the attacking force, but Artanis was somewhat puzzled by Raynor's decision to assign a human as a forward to provide cover.
“Friend Raynor, even your warrior with his powerful psionic abilities couldn’t withstand such concentrated firepower.” The Protoss would ask questions directly, without beating around the bush, and Artanis was no exception.
"Trust me, Kirsage will definitely give you a little shock," Renault said to Artanis with some pleasure.
"Oh? Then I'll wait and see."
Although Artanis trusted Raynor, he still deliberately joined the five Immortals.
These powerful quadruped infantry mechs will use their tough shields to withstand a large amount of enemy fire, while their two phase-shattering cannons can easily tear any target apart.
With orders from both sides, a mixed human and Protoss offensive force assembled.
Raynor deployed Kil'jaeden, a large number of siege tanks and marines, while Artanis mobilized dozens of Zealots, dozens of Dragoons, a High Templar, and five Immortal mechs.
"Are you ready?" Kirsager was summoned by Reno to serve as the vanguard and temporary commander of the unit. "If you're ready, then let's go."
The Imperial forces responded to her in the channel, and the High Templars in the Protoss forces nodded.
Their trust in Reno doesn't mean they completely trust the rest of the Empire. Although Kirsaj possesses extremely strong psychic power, high-ranking Templars who are proficient in psychic abilities are no less capable than her in this regard.
Before Kirsaj left, Reno also told her that she could learn more from the high-ranking Templars of the Protoss, who were all beings who had cultivated psionic energy for hundreds of years.
The Protoss's nature dictates that they will not refuse a creature that humbly seeks knowledge; they are happy to teach others, especially since Kirsaj's psionic level has surpassed theirs.
“Uncle Renault, you said you wanted me to ask for advice, but you didn’t tell me how to get along with them.” Kirsaj looked at the high-ranking Templar’s standard alien face, which didn’t even have a mouth or nose, and he couldn’t see any expression.
How was she supposed to communicate with him? She knew the Protoss could communicate telepathically and understand her, but she didn't know any of their traditions or customs! What if they kept a notebook like some dwarves?
She felt she had no chance against a former galactic superpower civilization; she was truly going to die!
“You’re struggling with your thoughts.” Kirsaj’s inner thoughts triggered her psychic powers, which the High Templar had already sensed.
“Uh, I don’t know if you have any… taboos.” Kirsage’s thoughts were interrupted, and she answered cautiously.
"It's good that you want to learn, but right now you should focus on this battle."
The ethereal voice of the high-ranking Templar echoed in Killer Killer's mind. Killer Killer steadied himself, and the confusion in his eyes faded.
Sensing the change in the person beside him, the high-ranking Templar nodded in satisfaction. In his view, it was a shameful thing that Killer's talent was being wasted.
