Summoned from another world, the hero is Ultraman Zeta.

Chapter 14 The Fundamental Desire of Man

"Can't see any figures? Now I roughly know who's around." After completing the light barrier disguise, Ajiu climbed up the tree, looked at the silent scene around her, and had an answer in her heart.

The vibrant forest of the afternoon transforms into an eerie stillness at dusk. No monster wants to reveal itself at this time; the calls that once sought pleasure now become death signals.

The Komodo tiger scanned every corner of the forest, its ears perked up in search of its prey for the day.

"The Komodo Tiger is a monster at the top of the monster food chain. It has tremendous strength, as well as giant claws and sharp teeth to help it grab its prey and kill it with one blow. What's even more terrifying is that this being, which can tear apart giant beasts, has an amazing ability to change color and camouflage. Once discovered by the Komodo Tiger, survival is mostly up to God's grace."

A-Jiu climbed down from the tree to explain to Zeta, and then checked the light screen again to ensure everything was in perfect order. A-Jiu's extremely meticulous approach left Zeta with no time to think about anything else. After experiencing the monster from a truly human perspective, Zeta couldn't help but feel a chill run down his spine.

The sound of the giant beast's footsteps approached, but it was difficult to detect with the naked eye. The scene that could be seen was a forest bathed in the setting sun at dusk, but what could be heard was the increasingly clear breathing of the monster.

Realizing the danger was approaching, Ajiu tensed up to the point of subconsciously holding her breath. Relying on human vision, she couldn't see the danger nearby, and her frantic survival instinct suppressed her from making any rash moves.

Zeta saw the monster right in front of him and Ajiu, sniffing the ashes of the nearby fire. After a moment's thought, he turned and left.

"It's alright, Ajiu, that monster is gone. I could see through its disguise." "Thank goodness, after all, this is the first time I've been this close to a Komodo tiger."

After hearing Zeta's explanation, Ajiu felt relieved. Her sixth sense also told her that the monsters had gone far away. "It seems that the monster group's actions in the afternoon attracted the attention of the Komodo Tiger, which is why the Komodo Tiger, which is usually nocturnal, came out at dusk to hunt the monsters when they gathered."

Ah Jiu suppressed her fear, clasped her hands together, and focused her attention on thinking, trying to stop herself from continuing to be anxious. The journey with the hero had only just begun, and Ah Jiu didn't want to end it in a shameful way. She quickly changed her mind and continued thinking; constant fear would only make her look miserable, which wouldn't be honorable.

"Did you see anything else just now, Zeta? What's the Komodo tiger doing?" "I just saw it sniff the ashes of the fire and then leave. I don't know what happened."

"Really? It seems the monsters still look down on humans. They're not very heavy, yet they always like to mess with other creatures. Hahaha, how pathetic."

A brief self-deprecating remark eased Ajiu's mood considerably, allowing her to calm down and open her mind. "Judging from the Komodo tiger's speed and aggressiveness, it's not very hungry yet, so there's no need to worry about Yaohui being attacked first."

Unless it's an extreme situation, humans won't eat bees or insects that sting them, and monsters treat humans in the same way.

What appears to be a beautiful sunset scene actually conceals a hidden danger. Monsters that understand the situation remain hidden, their expressions filled with fear, not daring to utter a single breath; while monsters that do not understand the reason happily arrive here, seeing a bountiful harvest with no one to compete with them, feeling smug and content.

The monster that had come from afar was exposed, eating the vegetation in the forest while admiring the sunset.

Winged Pegasus flies in from afar, moving in groups to find good places for everyone to forage. Winged Pegasus is a horse-like monster, ranging in height from ten to thirty meters, with wings growing on the outside of its two front hooves, spreading its wings like a bird when flying.

With its wings spread wide, it flies by flipping up and down, tilting its head forward and tucking its hind legs to maintain a streamlined body and reduce drag during flight. After landing, it folds its wings and walks like a normal horse, going about its daily eating and drinking activities.

The winged pegasus is a prized beast, its graceful flight with its flowing tail making it a favorite among humans. Depending on the group, their coat color varies; this group of pegasus is beige, which shines even brighter in the setting sun.

"These winged pegasi... are the same winged pegasi that hid from the dimensional monsters before. I've seen them before!" Moving in a group to forage for vegetation, their beige bodies bathed in the setting sun, it's hard not to notice such a scene.

"Damn it! After the dimensional monsters were destroyed, most of the fleeing monsters returned to their original habitats. However, due to the extensive burning of the land, there was a shortage of food, and many monsters had to travel to faraway places to find food. I never expected that this group of winged pegasi would come here!"

Watching the winged horses devour their food in the distance, Ajiu should have been overjoyed to see them return home. However, the experience of sniffing the Komodo tiger up close not long ago still stung Ajiu's nerves. That was a true apex predator. Even if his eyes couldn't see anything unusual, Ajiu's survival instinct wouldn't deceive him.

“Those Pegasus are in danger! Their blatant appearance will surely attract the attention of Komodo tigers! It's a bit unfair that they're about to be preyed upon after just escaping the threat of dimensional monsters.”

Nature is inherently unfair; the existence of the food chain dictates that certain groups will be harmed, and the continuation of some life forms depends on the disappearance of others.

But Ajiu didn't care about any of that. She was human, and humans were beings who defied the heavens to live. Being outside the food chain gave humans more opportunities to think about nature and themselves.

Ajiu had experienced the kindness of the Winged Pegasus. When she was young, she got lost while playing, and it was the Winged Pegasus that comforted her as she hid in a corner, crying in fear. It was the kind Winged Pegasus that led Ajiu back to her home.

Seeing the shared home of humans and monsters destroyed, A-Giu gets angry and joins the guild's fight against the dimensional monsters without hesitation; when she sees kind monsters about to lose their lives, A-Giu worries and wants to do everything in her power to help them return safely to their homes.

Ajiu looked nervously at the winged pegasus in the distance. Her heartfelt goodwill urged her to hurry and save it, but the fear of the apex predator suppressed her human body and made Ajiu stay in place.

A-Jiu's mastery of monster knowledge allows him to easily traverse forests teeming with wild beasts. However, this very knowledge leads him to overemphasize the monster's perspective in the wild, seeking to prolong his life while forgetting his true human nature.

A-Jiu couldn't save Yitianma; she simply couldn't do it on her own...

"Let's go help them, Ah Jiu!"

Zeta's gentle yet powerful voice flowed into Ajiu's chaotic thoughts, like an umbrella held up for a girl walking in the rain, trying to hold back her tears, protecting her body and mind from further blows, and giving her eyes a direction to look up and hope for.

Zeta couldn't explain why he was acting this way, but his body acted before he could come to a conclusion.

Like a life instinct, Zeta wants to respond to the most sincere and pure emotions in people's hearts and use his own power to achieve the wish of peace. Perhaps this is the spirit of Ultraman. Zeta doesn't understand these things.

The lack of verbal response did not mean that the sentiment was not understood. Gratitude in human nature was awakened again. Ah Jiu looked at Yong Yi Chun Jing with moist eyes, looking at the miraculous radiance that supported her hope.

The girl's tears were not tears of cowardice, but the joyful crystallization of receiving the most sincere response after a long period of unwavering will. They reflected the colorful Ultra energy opposite her, shining even brighter in the light of the setting sun.

"Thank you, Zeta!"
