Huh? There's a magic school here.
Chapter 95 Exam Approaching
The speaker was Halken Miller, the Slytherin prefect. He didn't understand why the students were blocking the entrance to the common room, so he loudly ordered them to enter.
When the other young wizards saw that it was the prefect, they all went into the common room. Then everyone there gasped in amazement!
"It's spectacular!"
"Yes, yes, the lounge seems to have gotten a lot bigger!"
"Look, there are many more murals on the wall, and many more scepters on the wall!"
"Hey, our academy's flag seems to be moving! Look at that snake, it's moving!"
A heavy and mysterious atmosphere permeated the Slytherin common room.
The floor-to-ceiling windows at the bottom of the lake reflect the dark water, like the eyes of another world, deep and unfathomable. The lake water shimmers with a faint blue light in the dim light, so tranquil that you can almost hear your own heartbeat.
The interior is decorated primarily in cool tones, with the stone walls and floors gleaming softly. Every piece of furniture appears both understated and refined. Delicate pastries and drinks are laid out on the coffee table in the common lounge, while a fireplace in one corner offers a touch of warmth.
The once bustling crowd quieted down after entering, as if this was how Slytherin's Slytherin was supposed to be. So everyone dispersed silently. Jeanne, who had wanted to play wizard chess with Jerome, didn't insist on continuing, and instead, like everyone else, returned the books to their dormitories and went to the Great Hall for dinner.
Meanwhile, students from the other three houses also noticed the differences in their houses' common rooms after the upgrades. Hufflepuff's common room had more and more unknown plants, and the walls were covered with many incomprehensible totems.
As for the Ravenclaw common room, it appears even more profound and mysterious. The starry sky that was originally painted on the ceiling now looks more realistic. If you look closely, you can even find that the position of the stars above seems to be different every day, and the various stars seem to be moving according to some kind of trajectory.
The cloud patterns beneath their feet also keep moving forward, making it seem as if the students are strolling among the clouds. Of course, Ravenclaw students are more concerned about their house library, which seems to have expanded its collection of books.
The changes to Gryffindor's common room were less noticeable, as it already contained a variety of strange and unusual decorations. Besides the addition of numerous murals, the room now boasts even more weapons, shields, and armor. There are also various maps and globes marking the places where ancient sages had ventured.
The only common room in all four houses had the same change: it was much larger, making it feel more spacious since the number of students in each house remained the same. The many additional student dormitories that should have been available weren't yet visible, as Hogwarts Castle only revealed new dormitories each year based on the number of students in each house during the enrollment season.
As time passed, the atmosphere of study at Hogwarts Castle grew increasingly intense, as May was drawing to a close and June, the month of exams, was fast approaching. None of the students wanted to fail their first year's final exams, especially since this year's cohort consisted of sixty-eight students.
They believed that once the exam results were released, the entire Hogwarts would know, and if they failed, wouldn't that be incredibly embarrassing?
The study rooms are now often filled with young wizards who are reviewing their lessons; they simply don't want to fail.
In addition, the competition for the House Cup between Ravenclaw and Slytherin is becoming increasingly fierce, as their House Points are very close. Currently, both houses are around 490 points, and their points are slowly increasing. Because it's final exams, professors are not awarding as many extra points in class.
At this point, no one dared to cause trouble and deduct points from their own academy, as that would make them public enemies! This was the first Academy Cup, a very historically significant event! Just imagine, winning the first Academy Cup would be something they could brag about for a lifetime.
What a wonderful memory this will be when you're old and telling stories to your grandchildren. Therefore, both Ravenclaw and Slyderlin, under the guidance of their prefects, behaved well and worked hard in class to earn extra points.
And the final exams now will be their last chance.
In contrast, the Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs were much more relaxed and happy. Because their young wizards had been so energetic and curious, they had lost a significant number of points and fallen out of contention for first place.
The Gryffindors have the fewest points, currently ranking fourth with a total of 417 points. Hufflepuff, on the other hand, is in third place with just over 430 points.
The Gryffindors declared themselves worldly and indifferent to such trivial matters; they considered them mere empty titles! Happiness was the most important thing!
The Hufflepuffs, on the other hand, are quite laid-back; they don't care who comes in first place. What matters is sneaking into the kitchen at night to get something to eat.
Inside the Gryffindor common room.
Beretta waved her wand and chanted a spell.
"Restored to its original state"
As if receiving some kind of command, the shards of a broken vase on the ground found their places one by one and jumped onto the broken body of the vase. In no time, a complete vase appeared in front of the group, and the other roommates admired the restored vase.
"Berita, how did you do that? I can fix small or simple things, but I can't handle a broken vase like this. Do you have any good methods? Please teach us."
"Yes, Beretta! Teach us, what if this is on the final exam?"
"Ugh, what a headache! I'm really fed up with you guys, such a simple spell! Watch closely, I'll demonstrate it again. Then it's your turn to try."
After saying that, Beretta threw the vase on the ground again, and soon it shattered into pieces with a loud crash.
Beretta then used a restoration spell to fix it. She then handed the vase to her roommate, asking her to cast one for her too.
Wendy took the vase and smashed it just as hard. Then, waving her wand, her spell succeeded, but the repair was riddled with flaws.
"Wendy, have faith! Have faith in yourself when you cast a spell. You must firmly believe that your spell will succeed; emotions can affect the magic you cast!"
"Erlinda, stop eating! Look at what you've restored! Didn't you think about what the vase originally looked like when you cast the spell?"
"Hmm, not bad this time! At least it looks decent, but why did you stop the magic output before the cracks on it were repaired?"
"What? You think cracks are more beautiful? Merlin's beard, I hope you can convince the professors to accept your opinion."
