Huh? There's a magic school here.

Chapter 74 The Life of a Sunflower (Part 1)

Amidst all the noise and commotion, my two-legged creatures finally finished their homework. However, it was already quite late, so they went to wash up and go to bed after finishing their assignments.

Being a two-legged creature is such a hassle; they have to spend a long time washing up in the morning and another long time washing up before going to bed at night. It's such a hassle!

I'm lucky; all I need to do is bask in the sun and grow up slowly!

Goodnight, Xiaomiao!

Goodnight, two-legged creatures!

That very night, I saw another of my companions. I watched it slowly emerge from the soil, and I was so happy for it; it had successfully seen the outside world!

Since it was the first time we'd ever met our own kind, we chatted until very late before finally drifting off to sleep. The next morning, I was woken up by the noise from the two-legged creatures.

The two-legged creatures found my new companion, and the one belonging to it named my new friend Little Flower.

"Wendy, Violet, your sunflowers haven't sprouted yet? Mine have sprouted!"

"Not yet, but I believe they will sprout soon! It should be in the next few days!"

"Berita, give your first sunflower a name!"

"Let's call it Little Flower, since it's originally a sunflower!"

From then on, my new friend had a name: Little Flower!

The two-legged creatures have gone out hunting again, and now only Xiaohua and I are left in the room.

During the day, besides trying to soak up the sunlight, we also spent our time gazing at the distant mountains in a daze!

In the afternoon, we saw a group of bipeds flying in the sky! There were not only female bipeds, but also some male bipeds! We guessed that the bipeds were practicing their hunting skills!

And so, in the days that followed, my other two companions, Xixi and Xiaoyang, also sprouted one after another. We talked about two-legged creatures together, we worked hard to absorb sunlight together, and we also stared blankly at the distant mountains together!

Everyone wants to go and see the distant mountains, but no one can leave the land beneath their bodies.

"Little seedling, you must grow up strong and tall! You must grow taller and stronger than Little Flower, Xixi, and Little Sun!"

My two-legged creature watered me while muttering to itself.

I can tell it's the one who likes us the most out of the four two-legged creatures. It's the most diligent of them all; it often waters my plants and talks to me. The other two-legged creatures rarely water their companions!

Even though it loves to eat and is often complained about by other two-legged creatures, what does that have to do with me? As long as the two-legged creatures like me, that's enough!

Over the next two weeks, just as the two-legged creatures had hoped, I slowly grew taller and taller. I sprouted many leaves, allowing me to absorb more sunlight. At the same time, I became the tallest and biggest of all my companions.

"Erlinda, remember to open the windows after you've watered the sunflowers to air out the dorm! Then come find us in the auditorium!"

"Okay, I'll be right there! You guys go ahead!"

Erlinda watered her sunflowers, then opened the window and hurriedly left.

"Wow, it's so cold! Is the outside world this cold? It's so much better in the soil, it's warm here."

"Stop talking, let's focus on getting some sunshine. The more sunshine you get, the colder you'll feel!"

My companions were all quieting down as they absorbed the sunlight, but I couldn't calm down. I don't know why, but I felt waves of restlessness.

Over the next few days, my spirits worsened, and I often fell into a deep sleep from which I couldn't wake. I didn't understand what was wrong with me. I could feel my companions calling me anxiously, but I couldn't respond. I couldn't grow anymore; I just wanted to sleep peacefully.

"Hey Beretta! Why do my sunflower leaves have so many yellow spots, while yours are all bright green?"

"Hmm? Let me see! Yes, why are so many parts of the leaves turning yellow?"

Wendy, Violet, and Beretta all gathered around!

"Is it because you're not getting enough sunshine?"

"Don't talk nonsense. If there wasn't enough sunlight, why would only the seedlings be affected?"

"Is it infested with bugs?"

"Please, do you see any bugs?! It's probably sick!"

"Erlinda, when did Xiao Miao start showing these symptoms?"

"It was a few days ago, I didn't pay much attention! It must have appeared a few days ago, it started as a small area, and then it grew bigger and bigger!"

"Come on, Erlinda! Pick up the little seedling, let's go ask Professor Sprout!"

So, before curfew, the group carried the sunflowers to Professor Sprout's greenhouse.

Several people knocked on the door of the greenhouse.

"Please come in!"

After receiving permission, the group pushed open the door and filed in.

"What can I do for you so late?"

"Professor Sprout, my seedling is sick! Can you take a look at it?"

"Little seedling?"

Upon hearing Sprout's question, Erlinda raised the flowerpot in her hand high.

"Oh, it's a sunflower! Put it on the table and let me see what's wrong. Tell me, what's wrong with it?"

"Professor, my seedling has been doing well, but a few days ago it started to develop yellow spots on its leaves. I didn't pay much attention at first, but today I noticed that there were more and more yellow spots, so I came to ask you for help."

"Hmm, I can tell. It's been a while! Don't worry, let me see! How often do you water it, and how much?"

"Oh? Water it every two or three days, I haven't measured the exact amount, but it's probably about half a watering can!"

"This is the result of you not paying attention in class! Sunflowers don't need much water! They need more sunshine!"

After saying this, Professor Sprout smashed the flowerpot, and a lot of water spilled out as it shattered. Then he found another empty flowerpot and put the sunflower in it.

"Okay, take it back! Remember, sunflowers only need 500 milliliters of water a week. Don't water it this week; it will recover on its own."

"I understand, thank you, Professor!"

"Hurry back, curfew is about to start!"

I woke up again on a sunny midday, and my friend told me that I had slept for two whole days!

Xiao Hua told me that two days ago, the two-legged creatures hurriedly took me away, and when they came back, they found that I had moved to a new home.

I can feel the irritability I felt a few days ago has disappeared, and I'm slowly recovering. I shared this good news with my friends, and they were all happy for me! We can bask in the sun together again, gaze at the distant mountains, and watch the two-legged creatures bickering and making a ruckus.

"Erlinda, look, the yellow spots on the seedling's leaves are getting smaller. That means it's recovering!"

Erlinda, tears streaming down her face, said to the sunflower, "I'm so sorry, little seedling. It's all my fault for forgetting what the professor said after class. I watered you too much!"

"sorry Sorry."

"It's okay, I'm fine! Don't cry, you two-legged creature! I know you didn't mean it."

Unfortunately, the two-legged creatures can't hear what I'm saying.
