Huh? There's a magic school here.
Chapter 63 Bonfire Party
"Alright, we're here to have fun, so I won't arrange anything for everyone. Here are a few options: one is to go fishing with the ponies in the river, another is to visit the ponie village, and yet another is to stay in a tent and watch the sea. But no matter which you choose, the bonfire party at 7 p.m. will start promptly, so I hope everyone will attend on time."
Soon, everyone had chosen what they wanted to do and went off to play separately.
Martha is leading the fishing trip. Martha and her five friends are already expert fishermen in the village. They also learn hunting and fishing regularly, and since the Forbidden Forest is currently safe, they are the ones leading the team.
Because Beretta accepted Martha's wreath, she brought her friends to the river to fish. This was a very new experience for the young wizards; they had never fished in the wild before.
Martha and Beretta walked side by side on the road, and she asked Beretta curiously, "Friend, what's it like outside?"
After a moment's thought, Beretta said, "We all live in a large castle, where we study and live. We fly together and play wizard chess together."
Martha asked, looking confused, "What is Wizard Chess? Too bad I can't fly. Is there enough food for you?"
"Yes, Wizard's Chess is a game that humans play. I'll bring it over and teach you how to play when I have the chance. It's so much fun! We have an endless supply of food in the castle."
"Great! Centaurs, hungry, starving. Martha, hunting, fishing, gathering fruit!"
"Oh? You centaurs live such a hard life? I didn't even know there were centaurs in the Forbidden Forest before, and I didn't even believe they existed before I came to Hogwarts! You're all starving, how pitiful. Why don't you come to Hogwarts and find me if you're ever hungry? I'll get you something to eat."
"Work, food!" Martha meant that without work there would be no food, and she couldn't take things from others for free. However, because she was still young and not yet proficient in human language, it took her a while to get Beretta to understand her meaning through gestures.
"It's okay, Martha! We're friends, we can't just watch our friends go hungry, right? If one day I run out of food, would you be willing to share your food with me?"
"You, me, my friend! Here!" Martha said, and actually took an apple out of her pocket and handed it to Beretta. The little girl was very touched, as she was willing to share her food with someone who was not even full herself.
Beretta turned around and started ransacking her roommates' food, taking all their snacks to share with the ponies. Just as Erlinda complained, Beretta popped an apple into her mouth, telling her roommates not to worry, she'd give them back. She even promised to write to her sister and send her some of their favorite snacks.
Barrett tore open a box of chocolates, took out the chocolates, and handed them to Martha.
"Here you go, Martha! This is chocolate, it's delicious!"
Martha carefully took the chocolate, broke off a small piece, and put it in her mouth. The sweet, soft texture immediately made her eyes squint. So delicious, that was her only thought.
Then she turned and handed it to another pony beside her, muttering something to herself. Soon the pony foals gathered together, each breaking off a small piece and putting it in their mouths, until they had all eaten it.
Beretta was amused by their actions, so she gave the remaining chocolates and candies to Martha. Martha accepted the gifts and bowed to Beretta in gratitude.
Soon the group arrived at the bank of a small river. This river was small for Martha, but it might be a bit deep for the young wizards. Because the ponies were generally taller than the young wizards, the water only reached their thighs in the middle of the river, while it was up to the chest of the young wizards, which was a bit dangerous.
This left the enthusiastic young wizards dumbfounded. So the two sides discussed it and decided that the foals would fish in the middle of the river, while the young wizards would just play on the riverbank.
The little river meandered along, its waters crystal clear. A gentle breeze rippled across the surface, and sunlight danced on the water, creating a shimmering effect. Although the weather was a bit chilly, some young wizards couldn't resist taking off their shoes and wading into the river to play.
In the river, the other five foals took out the short spears from their backs and began to poke fish. The foals were very skilled and frequently succeeded, throwing the fish they caught onto the bank. The young wizards watched in amazement, and one of them even tried to measure the length of the fish, discovering that they were as long as his forearm.
Beretta shouted at Martha from the riverbank, "Martha, why aren't you catching fish?" Martha smiled but didn't answer. Instead, she took out a bow and arrow from behind her back! She aimed at the river for a long time before firing an arrow, but every shot hit its mark.
Beretta, seeing this, cheered loudly! After a while, when there were forty or fifty fish on the shore, the ponies stopped fishing. Instead, they came to the bank and handed their short spears to the young wizards. The gist of it was that they had driven the fish to the shallow water near the shore so the young wizards could try their hand at it, making their trip worthwhile.
Beretta took Martha's bow and arrow and joined the fishing party, so all the little wizards got a chance to try. Although no one caught a fish, they played happily for over two hours. As it got dark and the little wizards grew tired, they began packing up and heading home.
While the fishing team was having a great time, another team, which was a bit larger, broke up and wandered around the centaur tribe.
Jeanne and her group of four found a huge blacksmith's shop in the centaur tribe, where an old centaur was working. The old centaur was hammering away at an iron bar. After watching for a while, Jeanne ran over and politely asked, "Hello, centaur sir. What are you forging?"
“Hello, little pony! My name is Rand, and I want to forge a sharp dagger,” the old pony replied as he continued hammering.
"But it's still just a piece of iron! How long will this take?"
“Blacksmithing requires patience, and of course, physical strength. Nowadays, no horsemen are willing to learn this craft; they'd rather trade with humans. But once the horsemen lose this skill, they'll be at the mercy of others! What can we do?” the old horseman sighed.
"Mr. Rand, can I give it a try? I'm the strongest little player on the team!"
"Oh? You want to try? Okay, I'll use pliers to clamp the iron bar. You take the hammer and give it a try." After saying that, he handed the hammer to Jean-Nutrie, who took the hammer and began to hammer.
His roommates had already left out of boredom, but Jean remained. He began patiently hammering the iron bar, initially striking haphazardly, but after a while, he grew tired. Old Man Rand then began instructing Jean on controlling his breathing and timing each strike. Thus, the only sound in the blacksmith's shop was the clanging of hammers.
