Huh? There's a magic school here.

Chapter 5 Receive the Award

Soon, it was time for the afternoon match to start. Andres, having quit his job and with nothing else to do, came to the bar from the day before to watch the World Cup opening match with everyone.

That's how football culture works in Europe: wealthy fans buy tickets to watch their favorite teams live, while those without money or time can only go to bars to watch the live broadcast with everyone else.

The match started today because the British haven't liked the Germans much since World War II! So even though most people understand that Germany is stronger than Costa Rica, they are still willing to stand against Germany! Andres, being British now, can only join everyone in cursing the Germans.

However, as time passed, the wheels of history continued to roll forward, just as they had before. The German team gradually gained the upper hand and ultimately won the match 4-2. At this moment, a burst of curses erupted in the bar, but Andres was secretly overjoyed.

It seems that my arrival has not changed the past. As long as I buy the tickets according to the scores I remember, I will have the money to build Hogwarts.

Both in reality and in the Harry Potter novels, Hogwarts is built on a foundation of money. For one thing, have you ever heard of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry charging tuition? Not only does it not charge tuition, but it also sponsors impoverished students. So where does all that money come from?

If you don't charge money, where does the money come from for all the castle's expenses? Don't the students need money for meals? Don't the students need money for potion-making materials? Don't the teachers need salaries?

However, these fees are never mentioned in the entire Harry Potter novels and movies, but that doesn't mean they didn't exist! And that doesn't even include the cost of the Hogwarts Express; in the novels, Hagrid only gives Harry a ticket, but no one else seems to have bought one! Does that mean the tickets were included with the school's acceptance letters?

In short, the source of Hogwarts' funding has always been a mystery. The novels only mention that it was funded by the Ministry of Magic and by pure-blood families. But in reality, there is no Ministry of Magic, nor are there pure-blood families. Therefore, all expenses had to be covered by Andreas himself.

In just one day, he earned hundreds of millions of pounds through the World Cup. But he also understood that his enormous profits were coming at the expense of betting syndicates. Doing this in the long run would inevitably breed resentment.

So Andres plans to stop after claiming the prize tomorrow. Besides, he also needs to find a place for Hogwarts; there's a reason Hogwarts is located in the Scottish Highlands in the novels. It perfectly embodies the concept of vast land and sparse population, and casting a Muggle expulsion charm would make it even more secure.

Afterwards, Andres finished dinner at the bar and continued watching the games. The next two matches also ended with scores he remembered, especially the last one. After England's victory, the entire bar—no, not just the bar, but all of England—was in an uproar. Although they had defeated a country they didn't know, it was still a victory, and a good start is half the battle.

Andres was overjoyed when the match ended. That was a hundred million pounds! He'd never seen so much money in his two lifetimes combined! So he shouted extravagantly to his boss...

"Everyone, have a beer, it's on me!" The boss was overjoyed to hear this, thinking to himself that it was truly the World Cup, and it would be even better if there were England matches every day.

"Thanks, buddy, long live England!"

Someone shouted, and suddenly the roof of the entire bar was ripped off, filled with shouts of "Thank you!" and "Long live England!" Unfortunately, what they didn't know was that England was destined to only reach the quarterfinals; they never advanced further for many years.

The next day at noon, Andres, still groggy from drinking too much the day before, forced himself to wash his face with cold water after getting up, which finally sobered him up.

Today's main task was to go to the betting center to collect the prize money. To avoid trouble, Andres put on some makeup before going to collect the prize.

In just over ten minutes that afternoon, Andres received a check for over 100 million pounds and walked out of the betting company amidst the envious glances of the employees.

After leaving the betting company, Andres went to a bank. When the bank staff heard that he was going to deposit over a hundred million pounds, the entire bank was in an uproar.

Those blonde, blue-eyed women kept flirting with Andres; it was rare to see someone so rich and handsome! Soon, the bank manager dispersed the women who had surrounded him and led him to the VIP room.

Having money is great; the whole process involved one-on-one kneeling service. Andres was sitting there while the staff member half-knelt down next to him to explain the various terms and conditions.

Finally, they even gave Andres a top-tier credit card, one he'd never even heard of in his previous life. He later learned it was called the American Express Centurion Black Card. Don't be surprised; although called the American Express Centurion Black Card, it was first launched in the UK in 1999. There are only about three thousand of these cards worldwide, and they're mostly held by heads of state, political figures, and the world's wealthiest individuals.

The bank manager was overjoyed today. A billionaire had suddenly appeared and deposited over 100 million pounds into his branch, securing his bonus for the year. Amidst this excited atmosphere, he saw Andres out of the bank branch. Once Andres was out of sight, he turned and shouted at the bank staff.

"Everyone, let's go to the bar after get off work tonight, it's on me!"

What followed was a burst of cheers and howls.

After leaving the bank, Andres took a taxi to a car dealership. There were no cheesy scenes of condescension or humiliation here; the salespeople treated every customer equally. Andres eventually chose a multi-million dollar SUV, mainly for his current convenience. Once he had enough magic power, he planned to use Apparition to fly around freely.

After finishing all that, Andres went to a warehouse-style supermarket. He mainly came to buy things for the children at the orphanage; in the past, he had only bought food. Now that he had money, he could buy books and toys for the children, and in the end, he still bought a lot of things, albeit in small quantities.

Andres discussed it with the supermarket management, and he paid for the supermarket's truck to deliver the goods to the orphanage.

When the delivery van arrived at an orphanage in the suburbs of London, the orphanage's director, Ivana Grey, was stunned. It wasn't uncommon for deliveries to be made, but she'd never seen anything like it done by van before. She rushed to the driver to check if they'd made a mistake, but a voice called out to her from behind.

"Grandma Grey, you didn't send the wrong gifts! These are all for my younger siblings! Now that I have money, you won't have to worry about funding for the orphanage anymore!"
