Huh? There's a magic school here.

Chapter 407 Peaceful Times

"Teacher, what do you think of this constant temperature magic array? I begged Senior Melissa for a long time before she reluctantly agreed to come and set it up herself!"

When Julia asked him a question, Andres didn't answer but instead carefully sensed the flow of magic within the magic circle. After a long while, he nodded in satisfaction, indicating that Melissa had made considerable progress recently.

"I knew Melissa was a good person!"

“Yulia, you’d better not get too involved in politics! Now that you’re on the Karen Continent, you should go to the Mirror Floating Island and study properly. I don’t want my students to fall too far behind.”

“I didn’t want to be a teacher either, but Grandpa Charles kept playing the victim in front of me, saying that the royal family’s power was declining and he didn’t know when he would have to abdicate. I couldn’t bear it, so I had to agree to come and help Grandpa Charles. Who knew this place would be so hot? Luckily I’m a wizard, otherwise I don’t know how I would survive.”

Andres rolled his eyes upon hearing this. This old man should have died long ago according to the original timeline. But now, because of his appearance, he's still alive and kicking, even showing signs of getting younger.

"Alright, I've brought some professors with me to help this time. After the defensive array is set up, you'll come back to the floating island with me to study. I'll write to Charles about it. Be diligent these next few days; it will help you improve your array skills."

After finishing his explanation, Andres led Julia to the conference room to assign tasks to his professors. These professors were already quite familiar with the process and didn't need much explanation. There were only minor adjustments to the formations due to the different environment, and since many of the wizards at the British and French outposts were their students, they didn't need to do much.

After all, the saying "disciples should serve when needed" applies not only in the East but also in the West, especially in the magical world. These students had a lot of fun at school, only to find out in society that what they had learned was far from enough. Now that they have the opportunity to learn about formations from their professors, they are all scrambling to get it.

Within just a few days, the outpost established by Great Britain and France was completely transformed. The simplest example was the rain that had begun to fall in the Death Desert, and it seemed endless. This was a deliberate act by Andres to improve the environment of the outpost, a combination of continuous downpours and improved seeds planted by the students. Patches of greenery could already be seen near the base, much to Andres's satisfaction, and he instructed the wizards at the base to continue maintaining it.

Andres expressed his hope that by the time he returned, this place would be an oasis. The wizards stationed there confidently assured their headmaster that they would create an oasis no matter what, by the time the headmaster visited again. After all, the advantage was in their hands! Andres had a strange feeling about this; those words sounded so familiar!

Andres Apparated back to the Mirror Floating Island with Julia. It was Julia's first time there, so she was quite curious. Andres let Julia wander around as she pleased, and before leaving, he wrote her a reading list. This was Julia's coursework for the time being; according to Andres, Julia would be teaching a new subject for several years starting next semester.

He didn't care what Yulia wanted to teach, or how well she taught. Anyway, if he taught poorly, it would be Yulia who would be embarrassed, which made Yulia very unhappy, but she understood that this was just the teacher putting pressure on her. If she really had a problem and came to the teacher, the teacher would still help.

Yulia summoned a house-elf and used it to arrange a carriage used by the academy. This carriage had been modified to comfortably accommodate four people. While Yulia rode the Thestral carriage around the academy, the house-elf thoughtfully provided her with fruits and drinks from the continent of Karen.

Yulia comfortably spent a day familiarizing herself with the entire floating island campus. These were her last good days. To avoid embarrassing her teachers, she always carried a book with her and would quietly read whenever she had a spare moment. This wasn't just a Yulia habit; the professors who had come to study earlier all did the same. For them, new magical knowledge was incredibly valuable, and the more they learned about magic, the more they felt how insignificant they were in the field.

Time flew by, and ten days passed in the blink of an eye. Besides shuttling between the old and new schools, Andres also took a trip to a former outpost of the Soviet Union. It must be said that the Soviet Union remained as ruthless and brutal as ever; the entire outpost was a testament to violent aesthetics. Inside, one could see all of the Soviet Union's weaponry except for nuclear weapons, along with various kinds of vodka.

After the Bear Kingdom paid a large sum of gold to the Ministry of Magic, the Ministry sent a group of wizards to construct a magic circle. Andres was only there to make a brief appearance and save face for the Bear Kingdom, after all, the Bear Kingdom was one of the major powers in the Human Alliance. However, after arriving at the Bear Kingdom's outpost, Andres felt that the centaurs might really like this place.

Although the centaurs have long lived in the Forbidden Forest, it was actually due to the oppression of the wizards. If the centaurs knew that there was such a vast grassland in another world where they could roam freely, they would probably be very happy to settle here.

However, it's important to clarify that the centaurs like this place because they enjoy the freedom of roaming, not because they eat grass. In fact, centaurs are omnivores, just like humans. Looking at the endless grasslands, Andres felt it necessary to write a letter to Jeanne, explaining the situation here. Perhaps Jeanne could persuade the centaurs to settle here, so they wouldn't have to worry about being studied as monsters by the humans of Earth.

When Andreas reappeared at Hogwarts on Earth, he wrote to Bernhard Wiggins, the head of the Department of Magical Creatures, and Jean-Noël Madison, who worked in the Centaur Office, about the situation. Both men had served in the Department of Magical Creatures for many years and, lacking ambition for power, had made no demands.

Even so, they were still very dedicated to their work, and Jean-Baptiste had a close relationship with the War Axe tribe of the centaurs since his school days. Moreover, he had received the true teachings of the old centaur, who had peacefully passed away several years earlier.

The old horseman was buried on a hillside overlooking the tribe in the forbidden forest. He wasn't buried in a horse burial mound because he wanted to see the tribe's foals every day after his death.
