Huh? There's a magic school here.

Chapter 33 August 3 (1)

Diane sat in one of the seats at the back, her backpack placed on the overhead luggage rack.

She had just settled into her seat when a sudden acceleration pushed her back against the seat, and the scenery outside blurred into a hazy blur.

A few seconds later, everything returned to normal, but she noticed the scenery outside the window was different. The car was now on a suburban road in Edinburgh, and a few seconds later, the blurred scenery reappeared.

Diane snapped out of her reverie and picked up the box Stan had given her. This box contained a wand? Aren't wands supposed to choose their wizards? How do they know this wand will suit them? What if they're incompatible?

A little nervous, a little excited. This was her first wand, a companion that might last a lifetime. Diane silently chanted "open" to the box, and she saw a burst of white light suddenly appear from the crack in the box, and then the box slowly opened.

A twelve and a third inch brown wand lay quietly in the box. She picked it up; it was made of alder wood and unicorn tail feathers. The moment the wand touched Diane's, she felt the air around her become fresh.

Inside the box was a card with information about the wand.

The alder wand has a core made of a unicorn's tail feather. Alder wood itself is not easily bent, symbolizing loyalty and protection. It naturally has a restraining effect on dark magic, and combined with the unicorn's tail feather, it steadily enhances the wand's power in white magic and also has some benefits in nature magic.

Do not use this wand to cast overly powerful dark magic, as this will burn the wand core.

Just as Diane was still basking in the joy of having obtained the wand, the Knight Bus suddenly broke free from its blurry, high-speed journey. Diane realized that they were now in a residential area, and the houses on both sides of the area looked exactly the same.

Each house had a lawn in front, suggesting it was an area frequented by the middle class or above. The Knight bus stopped in front of a family of three; the boy appeared to be quite young.

The car door opened, and Diane could still hear the child's mother repeatedly telling her son not to be naughty at school. The child's father, meanwhile, was helping Stan load the luggage into the car, thanking Stan profusely and hoping he would take good care of the child.

Then you could hear the children and parents saying goodbye, and then a little boy wearing a jersey and carrying a small backpack came up.

"Jean-Noël Madison. Hello, Stan Sampark. Let me see your acceptance letter. Very good. No problem. Take this box; it contains your wand. Just say 'open' to the box in a moment. Remember, once you have the wand, do not wave it around randomly in the carriage. A young wizard can easily cause an explosion if he cannot control his magic."

As he spoke, Stan handed a box to the little boy. The little boy took the box and went to sit down in a seat.

"Ern, we're heading to the next place! 31 Carnaby Street, London. We're picking up Luca Herzog. Buckle up, we're off!"

Like Diane, Jeanne stared wide-eyed at everything. However, the child was still somewhat disoriented about being separated from his family. He clutched the box tightly in his hand and looked out the window, trying to catch another glimpse of his parents, but all he saw was an elongated house. The next second, a flash of white light, and the car had leaped to the next location.

“Wow, that’s cool,” Jean exclaimed, then opened his wand box.

Inside lay an eleven-inch wand, crafted from ash wood and ptarmigan tail feathers. When Jean picked up the wand, unlike Diane's, they both clearly sensed a display of power.

Wands made of ash wood are more intimately associated with wizards; others cannot use them. Ash wood is also considered a symbol of unwavering faith, not easily swayed.

Thunderbird feathers are a symbol of power, typically enhancing lightning and shapeshifting spells. The combination of these two elements seems to suggest that Jean is a person who reveres strength and has unwavering faith; perhaps this is why he loves football? Not everyone can endure the monotonous and tedious training every day.

And so, roughly every five or six minutes, the Knight Bus would appear in some corner of England. Diane watched as one classmate after another, big and small, boarded the bus, but strangely enough, Stan's luggage compartment never seemed to be full.

He put each suitcase into a compartment, but that compartment always seemed to be full, which was quite magical.

During this time, waves of magical fluctuations emanated throughout the carriage. Some, like Diane's, made the surrounding air feel fresh; others, like Jeanne's, made people feel invigorated; and still others, like Jeanne's, made people feel the dissipation of power.

However, since everyone had just arrived and there were still empty seats, no one sat together to chat. Everyone was doing their own thing: some were playing video games, some were reading, and some were clearly catching up on sleep after being too excited yesterday.

Then Stan shouted, "Ern, next stop, Newark-Sherwood, Nottinghamshire. We're picking up Mr. Bernhard Wiggins. Everyone, buckle up, we're off!"

About ten minutes later, the car stopped again. Stan's voice came through again, "Are you Mr. Bernhard Wiggins? Okay, get in quickly, we still have other people to pick up. Luckily, the next one isn't far from here, only a few kilometers."

A clear female voice asked, "Is the next person to pick up Joanna Hampton?"

"Oh, look at what a beautiful young lady! So, may I ask, how did you know I was going to pick up Joanna Hampton? I only knew who I was going to pick up by looking at the parchment!"

“Because I am Joanna Hampton! I saw Bernhard’s and my notifications. He was a few minutes later than me to pick me up, so I guessed it. Bernhard and I are friends, so we waited here together.”

"Alright then, please show me your acceptance letters. Yes, that's right. Mr. Benhard and Ms. Joanna, please take this box and come inside. Inside the box are your wands. Just silently say 'open'."

Joanna and Bernhard walked hand in hand into the car, making everyone else in the car feel like they were being force-fed a dose of PDA.

Everyone else on the bus got on alone, but these two were holding hands. It was the first time I'd ever seen a couple like that; thankfully, the younger kids weren't old enough for that.

The older children were filled with envy and jealousy! Some even wondered if they could find a partner at Hogwarts.

After looking around the carriage, Joanna approached Diane and asked, "Excuse me, is there anyone else sitting here? The seats in front are all full."
